  1. Thanks for commenting. Seems like the Statistical Analysis does not get much love. I haven't looked to much, but am still curious about what stats like this can tell us.
  2. Just going into the last game with a chance to win the series seems like a victory to me. The Brewers looked good in the first two, lets get them.
  3. I have to vent about this. I got a 9-game pack last year, but not this year because I did not know what I would be doing after graduating from college.
  4. I finished with a 10 page and 20 page paper at 5AM yesterday. I have been up for over 54 straight hours at various levels of drunkeness. Right now Ace Ventura makes perfect sense, and so does sleeping for the next 15 hours.
  5. There is to much blue in the last few posts on the vent thread.
  6. I think Sheets will go 8 innings tommorrow. Maybe give up a few runs, but I think he breaks out. I hope he does. Also I think the game will be on FSN since it is listed on FSN as being "Live, Milwaukee at New York Mets."
  7. She is not even that good looking. That is a cheap shot, but I just do not see how she got that job.
  8. Even if we win the series against the Mets detractors will be posting the following: We faced the worst pitching of the Mets with our best pitching. If we lose they will say "looks like the Brewers can't hang with the big boys." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif It's all good though, getting no respect worked for Rodney Dangerfield.
  9. Uhhh, I hope someone out there hears this. The last post on this thread was over a year ago. Can someone clean this up and just post some good links?
  10. I just realized I'll be spending the summer in my college apartment and am getting cable on Friday in time for the game. I hope I don't jinx the Brewers since I was watching the majority of games in the bar or on Gameday.
  11. Bowie gets the hold though with out recording an out. Good for him.
  12. I was looking over some of the Brewers stats and noticed the curiously small number of innings that the opposition has scored in over the past few games. I was wondering if there is any research dedicated to this subject and what it might mean if anything # Innings in which Brewers allowed a run: Games in may (7) = 6 of 63 inings 13 runs total Last 9 games = 8 in 81 innings 15 runs total Last 10 games = 10 in 89 innings or 25 runs total Is this indicitive of consistent pitching and iconsitent offenses? Does it show that the Brewers are facing teams with solid 3-4-5 guys and little else? What is the normal number of innings a team scores in per game? Please note I am aware of the small sample size and am more interested in what # of innings in which a run was allowed can tell us about baseball in general, then what it can tell us about the Brewers. I have also never broken down this stat, so the Brewers last few games may fall well within the normal number of innings in which a team allows a run.
  13. Personalized jerseys would be pretty excellent. I am glad my brother introduced me to Brewerfan.net and I'm sad I missed the get together this past year. I wish I would have known about BF.net during the darker years when moving from 5 dollar seats to season ticket holder seats was no problem.
  14. A 6-4 homestand already assured of going into the last series, which is against the Nationals. I know that's not a complete sentence, but it just felt good typing it. I've been to 4 games this year and one of the Indians-Angels games. When finals are done I'll be graduating from UW and going to a lot more games. Last year I tried getting to 16 games (or 10%). I'm setting a good pace this year too.
  15. That's true, there is no way I'd be able to bring in any delicious secret stadium sauce. I wonder what Gorzelanny is yelling at. Maybe he dropped his gum and is upset about it being all covered in dirt.
  16. During one dollar hot dog days they occassionaly run out of onions and once in a great while ketchup. Plus onions from home are better then the ones they have at the park.
  17. I think a 7-3 homestand is definetly doable now. Especially since Coco and Turnbow now have rested for 3 days. I am excited since I'll get to go to the game on Friday. Only my 3rd game this year (4 if you count Cleveland). My girlfriend is all stoked for one dollar hotdogs. We're bringing our own onions and ketchup.
  18. I've always said (since 2005) that J.J will be the best "Brewer" from this crop. Good defense and adequate baserunning with medium power. I thought Prince and Weeks would be to good to be Brewers throughout their careers and would sign monster free agent contracts. I figured JJ would be a David Eckstien type of player we could keep for his entire career, but if he keeps this up he'll be a Yankee. I mean that in a good way. JJ has always hit the ball well even when his average didn't reflect it. Always hitting line drives, just sometimes right at people.
  19. Nice, now Sheets can come out for one inning then we can PH for him with... I'm gonna say Gwynn.
  20. I hope so. I actually thinks Sheets will get better later in the year when the weather is warmer similar to Pedro Martinez. Curveball will have more bite at Miller Park later in the year.
  21. I don't think Sheets has his best stuff. He is trying way to many moves to first. Not very Ben Sheets like. Usually he isn't so concernred with the runners. I'm watching on Gameday. Can any one explain this to me who is watching the game (In HD your lucky ******) 1st inning 4 attempts 2nd ining none 3rd inning 9 attempts plus one pitchout This seems an indicator that Sheets doesn't have his strike out pitch/hammer tonight.
  22. Three K's for the Brewers. Glad they got those out of the way right away. Hopefully Lilly keeps trying to pick and we get into the Cards bullpen pretty quick.
  23. Anybody else think that Corey Hart should bat lead off if Weeks isn't in the line up? I do not feel that bad about Counsel up there since he sees a lot of pitches, but after the first at bat he doesn't do enough to be hitting in front of the run producers.
