Wiemer has a BABIP of .500 this year with an oba of .413. Under the hood, his xwoba is .298. Last year his xwoba was .305. It seems Wiemer didn't figure anything out and he is just riding a small sample hot streak. He's also freshly available in my fantasy league. Someone else must be seeing the same thing I am.

Here is Mitchell's statcast summary: The all-or-nothing completely matches the smell test. He doesn't swing at bad pitches (high walk rate) but he swings so hard that he creates a hole in the zone (high whiff rate). If this were golf, I'd tell him to take an 80% swing (sacrifice some bat speed) to capitalize on speed asset. I can't see this hurting his overall offensive production. To throw a name out there from the past, these K/BB splits remind me of Adam Dunn. He obviously wasn't a fast player but knew how to draw his walks.

I went to a game at Joe Robbie or Pro Player or Dolphins Stadium in 2004 when I was 17...so I am no help. I did find this guide on Diamond Centric. Looks pretty useful. In a dream I had last night, this all worked out in the end. Turang got traded to the Pirates for Paul Skenes...straight up. It must have been in the future because it was the off-season. Pratt plays SS and Made moves over to 2b. Joey Ortiz didn't even make the dream, so it must be an omen that his days as a Brewer are numbered. In all likelihood, a lot of this could be true (except for Skenes). I did wake up excited about Skenes only to come to my senses and realize it was a dream.

I'm also curious about where the age where a fan streams vs has it part of a cable package. My gut says 50. I'm 38 and in my circle of peers, they stream. The only people that I know that have cable are older co-workers and my parents.

With Brewers.tv, I really like being able to have the radio synced with the video. This is especially nice at work where I can listen to the game and watch anything on replay or watch a big at bat.

My 5-year-old successfully did a clean fresh reinstall of windows on my work laptop without a password. I wasn't even logged into the PC.

Just curious, is it still possible to stream Brewer games with a Spectrum subscription? I've been limping off my dad's spectrum account for years and would like to continue if possible.

I can't wait to get out golfing this year. Time for a new thread! I'll start. One of my dad's friends (I guess my friend too) passed away last summer. Over Christmas, I found out he left me and my brothers some money. He was a huge golfer, so I decided I would honer him by going out and buying some new irons to replace my antique 2005 Titleist 804.os irons. Over all the irons I got hit (must have been 6 different sets), I settled on the Titleist T150 irons. My current 7 iron goes 170. Yesterday, it was going 195. I looked at the specs and the new 7 iron has the same loft as my former 6 iron...which typically travels 180. I did have my former 7 iron with me...and that distance was fairly true. I have a tough time believing that technology has that much of an impact. In my fitting, they made the loft 1° weaker to help me get the ball up in the air.

I'm 6'1" and I stood next to Prince Fielder at Spring Training in 2006. He was at most 5'10 with spikes on. I can remember seeing the top of his head. If they say Williams is 5'-7", I wonder if he is actually shorter than that. Someone at Spring Training will have to investigate. Bring a tape measure with you and try not to look conspicuous. -
Thanks for the updates. Pulling from my personal experience with my dad, this is all good news and very encouraging. In short, my dad was cutting a tree down with my brother and part of the tree hit him in the head while it was falling. Why he didn't follow the escape plan like my brother is something that still crosses my mind to this day. He was knocked unconscious and had to get med flighted to UW-Madison. I was with him until the ambulance got there. That drive to Madison was so stressful. They kept him in a medically induced coma for a while and then he eventually slowly started coming back to it. He was so confused and not coherent for a few days. It was 2006 and he said Uecker and Mike Hegan announced Brewer games. He also said he was in the hospital because my mom threw a brick at him and also my mom was having a baby (my youngest sibling was 16 at the time). Then a week later he was more himself. Once I heard he set a record for balancing a checkbook in his rehab (he's an accountant by trade), I knew it was possible for him to make a full recovery. There is a 6 day period where my dad has no memory. When he got out of the hospital, he had to wear a neck brace and he constantly mentioned that he just got mentally tired doing basic things. It took him a while to even get back to work full-time. With all this said, I hope Frank is able to make a full recovery like my dad did. It's amazing how much I can recall from something that happened 20 years ago.

Skubal and Degrom were both taken in the 9th round. I know these are both pitchers and harder to project...but I feel pedigree only goes so far and means less as they age.

One thing to try to use offline maps to save on data. I usually use this whenever we vacation in the sticks where there is no data. I hear your gripes about names being off. My favorite one was rather than turning onto County Hwy K, I had to turn onto County Hwy Potassium. The last time I did that drive, Google fix it. I will say the one thing that Waze police data integration into Google Maps has been really nice on road trips. Not that I'm not a rage speeder, but it has been nice. It's untested for me...but maybe you could try the Waze app on Android Auto? Some people on Reddit seem to like it more. Android Auto is basically a way to use your phone on a big screen.

4/6 of the NL teams have clinched a postseason berth and 1/3 have clinched the division. Not a single AL team has technically clinched a playoff bert yet. For people like me that said it was over, I'm glad to be wrong!

Commercials are why I stopped watching football (both college and pro). Even when the game is going on, there is still a lot of dead time. I say they should ban huddles and a team should be forced to 2 minute offenses all the time. People tell me baseball has a lot of dead time too. I disagree because I view pitching as a chess match and the pitch clock has helped. My attention span and I have moved over to watching hockey in the winter. Since there is continuous action, there is a noticeable flow to the game. Additionally, each time only has a single 30 second timeout for the game (no commercial). With commercial breaks at the 14 10 and 6 minutes marks (when there is a stop in the action), I don't really notice the commercials as much. I believe they are only 2 minutes long. I can also be productive and do something during the two intermissions.

I was born in 1987 on game 10 and was brought home from the hospital on Easter Sunday. My parents really should have named me George as I'm sure I could have helped the Brewers win the world series.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I just got done setting up the extended network. Now I'm rocking 25 megabits/sec at the far end of the grandma's cabin! I decided to order one of each...an el cheapo Amazon P2P bridge link and a new 3 node mesh network and return the loser. I couldn't get the link to work consistently but I got the mesh network to work very reliably. Maybe I just went too Amazon cheap? My best guess is actually the existing router was garbage. The aunt and uncle said after I had it set up that they noticed improved performance at their house. They actually had Spectrum coming out to look at it tomorrow because it wasn't working well. I didn't try it...but I bet I could get higher speeds if I used the link with this new network...but the 3 node mesh network cost was right at my budget. Yes it's about 10x slower than at the aunt and uncle's right next to the router...but it is very good speed for what we need. I know some people out in the sticks would kill for 25 megabits/sec.

As a Brewer fan, I 100% agree. As a baseball fan...that's way too many throws for a rundown. My little league coach would have been irate. The White Sox deserved it.

The cabins are in the woods...so wifi interference (outside of itself) would be a non issue. Additionally, the cabins are made of wood (at least where the signal would be traveling). Also the properties are right next to each other. Her aunt and uncle have cable (Spectrum) and her grandma does not have a cable connection...so running a line is definitely not worth it. The cabin is super retro (no garage), so it will be a major undertaking. Also, I think it is just not worth having the aunt and uncle pay for cable. The cabin is only meant for the summer. There is a shed between the cabins. Maybe I'll just rig a mesh network though the full length is too weak. Thanks for the suggestions and input on this.

I'm trying to find a good option to extend WiFi from my wife's aunt and uncle's cabin to her grandma's cabin. Right now, they bought a WiFi extender and the performance is pretty terrible. The signal has to travel 200' or so through the woods...so it's only really a 2.4Ghz signal the can get there...which is should be fine. When the wifi extender works, we get maybe 5 to 10 megabits per second tops...not earth shattering but more than enough to check mail and some basic internet searching. It just isn't always reliable, which is why I'm asking for alternative solutions. At our house, we have a Google WiFi mesh network that works really well. I just don't know if meshing it will be sufficient given the length or if a different strategy would work better. Like I said above, we don't need a huge amount of speed.
