  1. That key thing is IMO a strange idea. I don't see how some business would spend lots of money on advertising and not tell you who they are. Most people probably give up trying to figure it out after only a short time. I figured it was for Potawotami and I'm sticking to it. Since I have absolutely no interest in gambling, I'm completely indifferent as to the origin of the ad campaign. If it is not for the casino, then it is in my opinion, a bad campaign. I can not however think of another organization in the area that would do such an off the beaten path attempt at advertising. Considering the whole expansion of the casino and remodeling, I'd think it a safe guess to go with them.
  2. I believe that you should get a few friends together, go to his house, knock on the door, and when he answers, you should all moon him.
  3. Great news. Hope all is well for the family. Give the wife a pat on the back, she's a battler with grit.
  4. I'd like to play fall ball. Are you gonna run this team? I can help out, but I would not captain the team.
  5. I'd be happy to have Happy on board. The spot is yours if ya want it. Brian- This sucks. Although completely understandable, it is disappointing. Could you consider an "alternate player" type role? You would not need to commit to a weekly basis and then play when you think you can make it for a game.
  6. This has been my first chance to post since the announcement. I've had time to digest things, calm down, and sleep on the whole thing. With that in mind, I can honestly say-- This Sucks. I've not seen the question posted in this thread after glancing it over so I'll ask it. Does this injury put more pressure on the Brewers to re sign Sheets? I don't know, but it does not make it easier to just let him go away.
  7. razzor's new screen name should now be Pay Rod. His avatar should be switched to Benedict Arnold's picture. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Don't take away from the fine gesture made by the opposition. Obviously, nobody really knew a PR could be used in that case. What the other team did in a playoff situation did was very admirable and sportsman like, if they knew the rule or not.
  9. I had a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix which I bought from my uncle for $350 in 1986. That thing could flat out fly. Mine was black. http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars/pontiac-grandprix/images/pontiac-grandprix-1972a.jpg
  10. http://images.encarta.msn.com/xrefmedia/aencmed/targets/illus/ilt/000f0edd.gif Brewers- This is a steam roller. You have just been rolled over by one.
  11. That was a fun game to watch. It seems as if the Brewer bats sparked themselves to life. 17 hits. Cool beans. Defensively, they stunk, but a fun game to watch.
  12. I need some Greay Horse Premium Gin right about now. (a constant sponsor of WSSP's post game show)
  13. I find it funny that Jamie is looking for a motorcycle and has achilles problems. Wouldn't you need a strong achilles to start up a motorcycle? Electric start my friend. Plus, it's my left achilles. To kick start a motorcycle, you use your right foot.
  14. Bush may be in the bullpen sometime shortly, but let's see how Sheets does this next start. If he can't make it and needs to miss yet another start or make yet another trip to the DL, we will know that in just a few days. This will most likely tell us what happens to Mr. Dave Bush. It has also been proposed that T-bow/Mc Clung are trade bait. Fine. Keep them up for a chance to straighten out and show them to possible buyers, in the mean time, Bush gets regular work. No biggie. We will see him again soon.
  15. Although a surprise to me, this move makes sense. Bush would have been in the eyes of the Brewers a "6th starter" and therefore, have no role on the team. Sending him to AAA gives him regular work as a starting pitcher and I suppose the Brewers could even transform him to a middle relief type guy if that's what they needed. (Which it may very well be at this time) I would have thought that Manny Parra would be the guy shipped to AAA, but seeing as his ceiling is higher than that of Bush, Manny stays here to get the Major League work. My initial reaction was knee jerk and I thought the move to be foolish. Examining it further and reading what "And That" has explained, I am comfortable with the move. Bush is a favorite of mine too, but him going down makes the starting rotation stronger. This may very well have been the intention this Spring if Gallardo had not gotten hurt.
  16. Good win. I'm still not over last night's stupid loss and I am very disappointed in Weeks and the offense, but good win.
  17. I'm looking to get another motorcycle. I used to have a 1976 Yamaha XS650 but due to electrical and other problems, it was let go. I have not had a bike for a few years but with gas prices, renewed interest, etc. I think I'm going to look at motorcycles. I may get one sometime soon but I'm not really sure as to great values. I have around 3 grand to drop which obviously rules out a Harley Davidson. Fine by me. I will not buy a "crotch rocket". I prefer a cafe style bike and I need it to have a passenger in mind. I think a 650 is probably a bit too small, but maybe not. I'm not going to go on any long trips by any means, mostly just city riding. How do you feel about Honda? Yamaha? A Cow? (kawasaki) Other bikes?
  18. Have you ever damaged your Achilles Tendon? If so, how long did it take to heal and how did you nurse it back into shape? Did it progress at any point? Did the pain worsen at times and become more tolerable at times? Other information would be helpful. Thanks.
  19. Oof. That reminds me. I need to go put stuff from the washer into the dryer.
  20. Bases still loaded with only one out.
  21. That was a walk that scored by the way.
  22. Walked him. Bags. Are. Juiced. 1 out. Yostie out to the hill for a strategy meeting. Maybe he should tell his guys: "Get the hitter out. Do not let the runners score, ok?"
