    Despite Brady Clark's best efforts to ground to short stop and get Durrington tagged at home, WE STILL SCORED due to a dropped ball by the catcher. You gotta wonder if his throwing hand was effected by Ben Sheets ticking that bunt attempt into LoDuca's forearm. edit: what I mean is LoDuca's throwing arm is his bare hand. LoDuca's bare hand was the hand that dropped that ball when trying to tag out Durrington at home. So in summary, Sheets moved the runner, damaged the catcher who dropped the ball, and K'd 9, gave up only two runs on a lucky dinger, and commanded the game from the fourth inning on.

    Why is Ned having Sheets bunt here and not use a hitter to do it? aren't the chances better with a hitter?

    Brian the Automator asked: Magruder was swapped out for Jenkins? Is there sort of imminent transaction? Good question. I'd have to guess right off the bat to look at L.A. Dodgers for a trade since Drew just went down. Think I'll make my way to the trade thread...

    July 3rd in Milwaukee there is a huge fireworks show. I live about a five minute walk from where you can see the fireworks so we've had a party here each year I've lived here. This year was no exception and luckily for me, we had to prep the yard and food for the party so I could only half listen to the game. I'm a lucky man.

    Oof. I'm listening to the Pirate radio broadcast right now. That blown play by Davis not backing up the catcher is being ridiculed and torn apart. I'm not sure of these two guys names, but the color man is really ripping the Crew's Defense. Not that it's uncalled for, but c'mon guys lighten up just a little bit. Rickie Weeks leads the series right now 2-0 and your team -is- behind us ya know. Also, they talked about Jenkins and his record against Fogg. Once they painted that picture, they then spoke the truth and said how Jenkins was paid a ton of cash to lead the offense and does about as good a job as I would. Apparently, there is a non-called balk that is being discussed on the field, and these announcers are actually doing a pretty good job of explaining this. All in all, these two Pittsburgh announcers are pretty decent.

    Rickie Weeks sucks. He can't even hit a gomer on the road. -Weeks has hit three home runs now. 2 of the three have been go ahead jobs, and all three were clutch dingers. I heart this guy too.

    We face a first timer toight? Well, there goes our chance at getting any runs. We could not hit a rookie if we were in a phone booth with him. Most other teams could make Zach Duke look like "Patty" Duke, but not us. Duke will make all our guys look like Geoff Jenkins at the plate, who has a great game when only striking out twice and getting HBP. JJ " I can Hardly hit" Hardy has no more business being in the major leagues than my two year old daughter. Wes Helms couldn't field a ball cleanly if ya handed it to him. Our hitters couldn't bunt a ball if it were on a dang tee. How are we expecting to beat the Pirates tonight? Are they going to call in sick and be a no show?

    Yesterday, in total protest to the bogus Brewer performance, I wore a Red Sox shirt and cap to run around town. I've decided to put away the Brewer hats and T shirts for a few days and give myself a break from the frustration and stress by not getting too into today's game.
