  1. Agreed. Basically my entire beer league team is going to the game this Saturday. I just looked up tickets in my section - basically all sold out on the lower level except the corners.
  2. Thanks for the insight. That's the 1 beef I have with just using the pairwise - teams lose games while players are out/gone. I get it, but it is kind of a bummer. The 1-0 loss to AA is too bad too. They dominated that game. Pretty sure they were missing a guy or two for that one too. Nice to see Stramel back, but he kind of looked non-existent Saturday, though he did score a goal.
  3. Id agree. Stinks because I thought he made some big strides last year.
  4. Is Connor still hurt? I am getting a funny feeling that maybe he isn't and is just being outplayed for minutes.
  5. I didn't get to watch the games. Was Cruz sick as well?
  6. A bit of both I think. For all his faults, Granato could recruit pretty well, and when he left he helped convince players to stay and kept most of the incoming recruits. When Hastings came over they brought some solid players with him as well. The interesting thing is - Silye was the CCHA player of the year with 23 goals and 39 points last year. You can see how good he is, and he hasn't made a huge dent in the stat sheet yet. He does win so many draws though. They also brought over Fitzgerald and he had 16 goals and 13 apples last year. This year he is at 1 and 8. Tassy has been the biggest surprise though, at least on the stat sheet. Between those 3, Whitelaw, and Finley, it's easy to see why they are better this year. I'm pretty sure their highest pick has been out the last 3 weeks too! Exciting to get Stramel back.
  7. Busiest I've heard it since I've had my seasons tickets. 4+ years now. Also probably the busiest. Loudest I've heard it*** edit
  8. What a wild game last night, and of course, instead of having a top 5 matchup on tv...it was pushed to BT+. Just such a poor job of marketing the sport. I'll be at the game tonight...hopefully. Fighting a pretty narly cold.
  9. Flood has flipped it to Purdue.
  10. For sure - again, just rumors that I have heard from friends around/on campus. I have no real inside information or anything.
  11. He posted that he cant wait to be in front of Badger nation, so it doesn't seem like its him leaving or homesickness. Rumors I've heard is that he may have had some trouble with the law(weed).
  12. The forecheck and even backcheck have been tenacious so far. I am hopeful that they keep it up. This early start to the year has been so much fun. The biggest difference is it doesnt appear to be dominated by just 1 guy(Caufield/Holloway) or the PP.
  13. Saw it unintentionally. In my one quick look at it - I thought, how could he possibly have done that intentionally. Others are saying you can see him push off with his foot. I wont watch it again, so I have no idea if that is the case or not.
  14. Yea - it really does feel like he connects better with getting these kids prepared. I am sure that goes back to his time in Juniors as well. The guy has just won everywhere he goes.
  15. No kidding. Great game. Hopefully they dont come out flat tomorrow.
  16. I'm gonna jinx it, but yea, I'm gonna say it, this is a good team. The offensive zone time has to be 2 to 1. They have given up a few odd man breaks but overall I am impressed.
  17. 20 minutes in in Minnesota...these Badgers look...good. Like, really good. Outside of the first 15 seconds they have dominated the next 25 minutes.
  18. Or CC is going to use an offer as leverage. The most likely scenario is that none of us have any idea what he is thinking. That said, I am hopeful he stays. Would be quite annoyed if he went to the Mets. Go to the AL if you are going to bounce.
  19. I am pretty excited. The team looks like they have better d-zone coverage which was something I constantly complained about the last few years. Nice to get a few wins, but this weekend should be a good barometer of where this team is at. Even getting swept but competitive would be fine with me.
  20. Giannis is only 28. Or are speaking from future you?
  21. Team swinging at a lot of balls this inning...sheesh. Donaldson missing a spinner sucks.
  22. If it's to announce a new sponsor...probably to get some buzz going for the sponsor.
  23. The frustrating part is that a few of the games they've lost recently really felt like ones they should have won. The no hit game in New York, last nights game with the 15 gidp balls. Either way, solid position, but I would prefer they lock it up before the Cubs come to town.
  24. Id guess Craig manages the Brewers or no where at all. But that's just my guess.
  25. Just pointing out that Angel Hernandez is awful.
