  1. The annoying thing to me is the sexual assault scandal that had basically 0 consequence. They were fined 2 mill, but they were able to sell 3 million in season tickets after they got the number 1 pick. In truth, this years first round pick should have been taken away.
  2. Thats always the rub, right?
  3. To be fair(and Lauer has looked lousy), but his finger looked funny and all 4 runs came from an error.
  4. Since you are fortunate to have parent volunteers you could look into small group work(you may be doing this already). Take your 12 kids and split them into groups of 3 or 4 and work on the different skills. T-work, fielding grounders, fly balls, etc. My buddy has a son who is in 4th grade and he said their practices are each kid sit on the bench and then come and take a few cuts. Then they go into the field and do field work. I told him kids at that age need more reps to get better AND make it more enjoyable. No surprise his kid hates playing baseball.
  5. Yea - the goalie swap was so odd. 4 ginos for Pavelski last night. Wow.
  6. It's hard to say that he would have pitched like this though. I saw a breakdown that showed the adjustments that he had made. Were those made during the off-season? Or were those helped from the KC staff?
  7. Just looked at Turang's statcast - man, I knew he was struggling, but he has been really bad.
  8. Good point on the injury. Had forgotten about that.
  9. I thought the Wild looked like the better team in games 1-4. Games 5 and 6 though...yeesh. Kaprizov...where are you?
  10. This is my Brewer experience. 0-2 this year. 6-1 to the Cards and then the 12-5 late inning blowup against the Sox.
  11. Some really good series in round 1. Though, that is to be expected when there are 3 seeds playing the 5 and the 4 playing the 6.
  12. It went realllllllllly well! Show started at 5:10(the 3pm show was sold out), so we fed them an early dinner and got to the theater around 4:50. We snuck in 2 ring pops just in case, but we were prepared to leave early if needed. Grabbed some popcorn, puppy chow, and some reeses pieces. Kids had their water and snacks. Daughter sat for the first 45 minutes in her own chair eating snacks and snuggling with her blanket. Then she needed the rest room. Sat another 15 minutes and needed the restroom again. At 6:18 she said she was done and wanted to go, but my 2.5 year old was still super engaged, so we finished it out and were out of there at 6:35! I was impressed with both kids, but we were prepared to leave early if needed. Both said they really enjoyed it. My daughter giggled when I did so that was cute. She asked me during one of her bathroom breaks if it was okay to laugh out loud since I told her we need to be quiet in the theater. All in all a 9 out of 10 experience.
  13. It looks like his velo is down(along with a lot of pitchers right now). He was always a pitcher that took a lot of time between pitches. I wonder if the pitch clock is having a major effect on him as well? I was at the game yesterday and could tell he wasnt sharp early on. Even with that there was an off the end of the bat infield single, a jam shot bloop with an error that led to a run. Then the 2 'earned runs' came because of a misplayed bunt. He had an opportunity to go 6 innings with no runs potentially if the defense showed up. With that being said, it is surely a concern moving forward. I agree with SF70 - I am worried about the pitching staff with Woody being down for an extended amount of time.
  14. Maybe we could trade for an OF. Renfroe maybe? Maybe they'd take Junk or something for him.
  15. Yep - this is why we don't even tailgate or park in the lot anymore. We park at a bar, grab one or two drinks and head on the shuttle. Relatively easy in and way easier out. On the note of food, the wife and I went to the Giannis Jersey game(it was packed) and the wife needed something to eat. We settled on a regular hot dog, but there were other options with other stuff on them(looked new to me), anyway, we got one and it was surprisingly good. I wont say I am a food snob, but I will readily admit when something is awful. This plan dog was above average. Alcohol was still expensive, but that's been like that forever. I think we paid 11$ for a craft beer and then I paid 11$ for a Topo Chico seltzer drink.
  16. 2nd level bleachers in right field is a nice view for relatively cheap. Bathrooms right behind you and if you need some drinks you are right by the craft beer section if that's your thing.
  17. My daughter turned 4 on Tuesday - I am going to try and take her and my 2.5 year old to the local movie spot for Mario tomorrow. Daughter told me she is frightened because it will get dark. Hopefully it goes well!
  18. That was awesome.
  19. Saw a stat that said, if both teams shot their normal 3 point percentage in game 1 the Bucks would have won by 15. Didn't check the truth to that, but that feels pretty accurate. Professionals are going to have games where they play great. It happens.
  20. This is a great point too. Team seems to be in high spirits and gelling nicely. I wouldn't want to disrupt that either.
  21. No. Please. No. I do not care if he is an upgrade. He is a grade A dbag.
  22. I see Cutch is on fire to start the year.
