  1. Wow!!!.....now they have got to get a lead! Wait.....who closes now?
  2. This team does give up a lot when its down by 3 or more runs. Thats why everyone gets excited when they get guys on base in a situation like this
  3. I agree with all of you. Terrible decision making there, unless Rickie all of a sudden refuses to bunt. That was bad baseball and it costed us.
  4. That foul ball into the dugout was scary. Dude took it in the head.....hopfully he is ok
  5. Corey Hart's swing looked weird to me, but man, he crushed that ball. 4-2, they are in this game!
  6. Yo might be able to get through the 6th....which after the start he had, thats pretty good. Now if they could only score some runs
  7. Rickie may need some time off. He is not good at the plate over the last week - week and a half. Not good at all.
  8. This Twins pitcher (9th) is one big dude. Reminds me of little Ray-Ray (King)
  9. La Russa (aka my most hated in sports) would argue its his Baseball-Jesus Pujols right to watch it every time he hits it out of the infield. Watching it for too long, hot dogging it down to first, etc are all now part of the modern game. Stupid.....yeah maybe. Especially in a 15-0 game. But it happens all the time now and its almost the norm.
  10. Car-Go sure riled up that pitcher. Good stuff. No shutout! And he is a big dude. That pitcher would be nuts to try and start something with him. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Lots of wasted at-bats. Swing early at garbage, dont swing at all, dont hustle. Brutal to watch as a fan........And now the TV guys are talking about the same thing. Talking about how it was not this way in the old days......kind of makes the guys look spoiled with their big contracts. Just once, in a bad game like this, I would love to see the crew battle back and make the score respectable. But you know its not going to happen.
  12. Throwing batting practice to the varsity team that I help coach. Since I throw around 250 pitches, I am throwing from about 35-40 feet from home plate, to add velocity without actually throwing hard. (The short distance gives the batter less time to see it and hit it) I was throwing behind a large "L" screen, usually safe. Tonight, one of our lefties decided to drill me. I threw, ducked behind the screen during the follow through, but must have left my right arm partially exposed. Never been hit square before, and have done this for years. Tonight fate decided to remind me why I need to duck quicker and lower.... I heard the usual "PING" and fell a loud whack on my right bicep. Never saw the ball, which is pretty rare. I looked down and saw the ball directly between my feet, spinning. Sucker got me square. Funny part is that it hit all muscle tissue, so it didnt hurt that bad. Kids were kind of going nuts. I threw to a few more hitters, but began to lose control and had to stop throwing for the nite. Not a ton of pain, but it tightened up on me. Now watching the Brewer game about 4 hours later, I have a huge, round, bright red welt on my arm. This is going to suck tomorrow......
  13. Has it been discussed yet how many at-bats will be wasted by Brewer hitters tonight due to the early deficit? I am sure if Rickie was playing he would have struck out 4-5 times tonight.......As I type this, Corey Hart does his best I dont want to be here looking K......
  14. The crowd sounds really loud on TV tonight. Very cool lookin place! But lets kick their butts and send em home mad
  15. I was thinking all of these comments and had to log on.....good work all. What a disaster......Rickie and his K's, baserunning, pitching staff and Macha's management of it, Ken Macha......... Its almost funny. ALMOST.
  16. I coach with a guy who swears a Miller Park insider told him after today that Hoffman will - #1 go on the DL tomorrow and #2 perhaps retire all in the next 48 hours. Apparently TH said today that he has been fighting an injury for the last 30+ days. Dont know if its true, it sounds like someone hoping.....but we will see.
  17. I agree with you Roderick. It would be very difficult to get that information to the batter before the pitch. I agree with you as well joepepsi, they probably (should) do this already. To chart what certain pitchers throw in certain counts and situations......but then again, maybe not. I guess I assume that they keep charts on all starters and closers.
  18. Between the weather this week, and the Brewers forgetting to bring the bats over the last 3 games...........It bringing me down!
