  1. The topic (I agree) or the execution of it by this team? Yo is giving this team a nice chance to win tonight
  2. Its good to see a sac bunt actually put in fair territory......the crew has failed several times in a row!
  3. Macha seems to flip coins when he makes his calls.... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif This team has got to score when they get a lead-off double. They have not done so several times this year and that sucks.
  4. Yo has been very good so far. Throws a lot of pitches, as we all know he does. But his stuff looks pretty good, and made one heck of a catch and throw to double off a guy on first to end the first.
  5. A thought at the start of this game......the intro comparing Yo to Santana scares me (Yo has to win a lot more to be in that comparison.......or get a Cy-Young at least.......he has a long way to go)
  6. SoCal - I agree they should all be replaced by machines.....but then there would be a lot more called strike threes, because the zone would be called where it should be called. West was out of line, Rapuano was out of line........something big needs to be done! Nice work all......there has been nothing written so far in this topic that I dont agree with
  7. The effort made to bunt runners over, both by pitchers and by guys such as Gomez today, has been horrible. I dont know if they practice it anymore, but man, this team is not good at it. This team has been so bad that they should give it up. For those of you {Z-man http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif } who hate bunting, well, this team is not a good offensive team and needs to find any way possible to score runs. If they have to lose a little pride and bunt not only for hits but for sacs, then they should.
  8. If you like garlic, make sure to mince fresh cloves (as much as you want, to flavor) and fry them slowly before adding to your sauce. If you fry too fast, it burns and tastes terrible......but fresh garlic tastes awesome.
  9. Braun and McGehee should go. I am not sure anyone else should. Thoughts?
  10. Zurch, on Mike and Mike this morning, Kane was making fun of how Keith was talking after losing those teeth in the game, very funny stuff. Said his power-play leadership calls were "too mumbled to understand" and Kane laughed at his "lisp during the post-game interview." That is funny stuff for sure. Hockey players are tough as nails, as Keith didnt miss a shift, playing almost 30 mins. I am a pens fan first, but I love the hawks as my #2 team. Go Hawks!
  11. Thanks for pointing this out, it is a very nice article. Braun has swag........
  12. The young guys certainly looked good today against the Twins (Braddock in the 6th,7th - Ax Man in the 9th). Hoffman also looked pretty good. Having too many guys to close does not seem like a problem......it would be cool to see Macha give one of the young guys a chance. But how many of us really believe this is going to happen?
  13. Lawrie has not really killed pitching in the minors.....hitting around .253 as a 2nd baseman. I doubt he is an option in RF. Gamel is always an option, if somebody can motivate him and he can stay healthy. I doubt he is going to get a look anytime soon at 3b, thats for sure. The next month is going to be key in the Prince situation. If they cannot win, it might be a major sell-off of several guys. Hart might be an option, however, he could also gain a large amount of trade value. Who knows what Melvin has up his sleeve at this point.
  14. The baseball gods have got to get a win for us here, because I have to go somewhere and dont want to miss this. Damn you luck! Lets go Crew
  15. Esky could have blown that shortstop up on that double play.....but then again it was not close so its a good thing he didnt.
  16. LaRussa is probably already complaining about this entire series..... Just not classy and well-played like a Cardinals game would be
  17. And nice work Span running to first with your #1 finger in the air. That looks great on a fly out to end the inning........
  18. That was a lucky bounce for a ground rule double otherwise game over........now they still have a chance
  19. I agree with PeaveyFury. That was a bang-bang play and Carlos was already in his secondary lead. Not much he could do. And its not like it was a belt high line drive, it was right at ground level and the 2nd baseman beat the ball to the ground. Oh well...... And yes, well played Ma'am
  20. Wow! And with that, McGehee leads the NL (and maybe all of baseball?) in RBIs. What a great inning!
