  1. Imagine if only one of Yelich and Hiura lived up to our expectations this year. Instead, we have a couple of duds on our hands with no end in sight.
  2. How soon before Yelich gets dropped in the order? This is just plain sad to see day in and day out.
  3. the internet and online participation has put a chokehold on social activity imo...
  4. I hope Willy is so good over the course of his time in Milwaukee, that this is the best trade we ever made, even better than the Sabathia trade...
  5. Prayers your way Zad...
  6. Taylor should not be sent down. Not to worry, Cain will be hurt inside of two weeks, so Taylor will be back upagain anyway.
  7. Starting Houser tonight was just an asinine decision. Wodruff was well rested, and I'm not sure that any manager in MLB would have started Houser over their ace after 5 days rest, and a division game vs a team that has owned us recently. It was a bad decision, period.
  8. Gee, why is the Brewers farm system so awful? That seems pretty unfair. Both those guys are upper end prospects with considerable upside and national buzz. They weren't drafted as favors. It isn't strange to think that may have played into it though... Probably not, but it sure could have been a factor.
  9. yup, and we are stuck with him next year too. I am expecting the same issues with Cain next year, hurt half the time... CF will be a black hole for the rest of the season, and more than likely, next season too.
  10. Bryant talks heating up, once the Nats and Mets get inviolved, we can probably forget it...Read this morning that the Yankees are interested too. Wasn't going to happen for the Brewers anyway, but it was a fun thought. Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that the Nationals are among the teams interested in Kris Bryant. Heyman says that the Nats don't want to trade top pitching prospects Cade Cavalli or Jackson Rutledge, though, so it's unclear whether the two sides would be able to find a fit. Washington was connected to Bryant over the offseason, as well, but nothing ever seemed close to getting done at the time. The Mets are also expected to make a play for Bryant. 11. you think people watch he game to hear what the mic'd up players have to say? if that is true, I find that to be sad.
  12. Maybe having robo umps calling balls and strikes would serve two purposes. In addition to greater consistency in calling balls and strikes, the home plate umpire could concentrate more on keeping the game moving. Imagine an IGT with no ump complaints. That would cut the posts in half. (seriously)
  13. Do commerials really make baseball games longer? The NFL does for sure, they even take breaks in the game specifically for commercials. Baseball takes commercial breaks during 1/2 inning breaks, when teams are changing from offense to defense, and pitchers are getting their warm-up tosses. I don't think commercials really effect MLB games imo.
  14. Problem would be if you only allow one pick off per runner, if it is used up early, the runner could get a pretty huge lead, knowing the pitcher already used it up. Don't like that at all.
  15. Like others have said, I'll believe it when I see it. I can't imagine what kind of hit they will take from their fans if they move Rizzo and or Bryant.
  16. There are a lot of people out there, that if they said the same stuff, would be fired immediately, yet for some odd reason, he was not. (as far as we know) I can't stand the guy, and disagree with about 95% of everything that comes out of his blow hard mouth. I hope he gets the boot, never to be heard from again.
  17. NFL games are almost unwatchable. The amount of commercials is actually comical. I can watch an NFL game and it feels like I saw nothing but commercials when it finally ends.
  18. So our draft card looks like this so far: 10 pitchers 4 outfielders 2 short stops 2 2B 2 catchers 1 3B I guess we will just remain in 1B/3B hell for all eternity...
  19. Alonso's bobble head / head banging during the HR derby was annoying... Rooting for Mancini! EDIT: Man, that guy is full of himself. Mets fans probably love him, but as a fan of another team, he seems like a jerk.
  20. So Scherzer, who was named to the all star team as a replacement gets the start? That makes no sense at all... Shouldn't that honor go to someone who was actually voted in? I know some of those guys won't be pitching because they recently pitched for their teams on Sunday, etc., but surely there is at least one starter who was voted on the team that could start the game.
  21. It all worked out... I asked the lady at the outside ticket window if I could pick them up at the inside ticket window. She said that will work, so I gave her the two broken ones via the little drop box below the window, and she took the two good ones to the inside window. Went through the gate, got the Yount bobbles, then went to the ticket office inside to get the woodstock bobbles. Easy peasy.
  22. That reminds me of all the people we see biking and hiking with music blaring outof their phones. We were recently in Glacier Park (Montana), one of the most beautiful places on earth and it happened several times. People out hiking in the mountains with music to accompany them and anyone else they run into. It disgusted me. Being in a setting like that, with some autotune hip hop nonsense in the background just isn't right for so many reasons. It's beyond annoying, it's just freaking rude.
  23. My guess is that we are stuck with him, eating up a spot on the roster and the cash we have to pay him... Why would he leave with all that money on the table and playing like garbage. He'll cash in, and hope to rebound next year imo.
