I don't want to waste any trade capital on a backup catcher that starts once a week. Pina is fine, and handles our pitching staff beuatifully. His defense is top notch, so I'm fine standing pat with Pina unless Omar goes down with an injury in the next week or so.

What we need is a 1B. Urias has been far more than most of us expected at 3B, so I don't see why we would go all in for a position we appear to be fine at. We need a 1B desperatley, so I'm expecting a low level guy like Cron in a deadline deal, and a 3B that ends up being worse than Urias.

We are not getting Gallo, too many other teams attached to him in MLB rumors articles. We are probably in the Cron sweepstakes, that is our skillset when it comes to deadline deals and free agent signings.

Braun at this point in his career would be a DH and on a NL team that means he is a pinch hitter only. He is definitely not better than Donaldson on paper or in a vacuum. Value wise Donaldson brings more value as you can have him as an everyday player and even if you think he needs a few days off here and there he is still 10000000000000% better than Braun. Donaldson = always hurt. Dude just can't play consistanty.

    GREAT series! That was fun!

Probably because he knew damn well it was a dumb move to send Burnes out for the 9th, but he did it anyways. Imagine if Burnes had gotten injured in the 9th, with an 8 run lead. It was just stupid.
  7. TURBO
Yeah, it was pointless to send him back out there.
  8. TURBO
I actually think this is a dumb move... 100 pitches, game is not in danger, sit him down.
  9. TURBO
I get what you are saying, but in that case, then he should get a lot of credit for the series that ended the 1st half...Maybe he should have kept them focused in that series as well?

Rogers isn't a rental, though - he's under control through 2022. a 1.5 year rental...lol Ashby could very well be in our rotation next year, for the next decade. I don't want to trade him or Small for a guy that we have for 1.5 years.
  11. TURBO
ADAMES! This kid is freaking amazing!
  12. TURBO
NO on Ashby for a bullpen rental.

What I find disturbing is you were four when I was four years out of highschool. Same, but I was only 3 years out of high school.......old man!

Am I crazy for thinking that a Bucks NBA Championship, a Brewer World Series and a Packer Super Bowl all happening within a span of 8 months is not totally Twilight Zone impossible? Obviously the chances of all 3 happening are remote, and let's get one first, but God knows we deserve a stretch like that. Not with Jordan Love at QB...lol (and probably not with Tom Brady at QB for the Bucs either. *ducking*)

1st pitch was right down the heart of the plate, he watched it go by...
  16. TURBO
Yup, I see no reason to concentrate on a 3B before the deadline, we need a 1B, so we should expect another middle infielder...
  17. TURBO
Same with me. I used to be anti-DH a few years ago, but not anymore. Take the bat away from them and be done with it!

Maybe if they didn't have tomorrow off, but since they have an off day tomorrow, Navaraez is the only one who should get the day off... I mean, they do have both Monday and Thursday off this week, so benching guys for rest in a game that has signifigant importance isn't ideal. It is what it is.

Never heard of it. Who sang it? All I see is Chuck Berry and Lou Reed. Lou Reed. Wow, that is hilarious that a video like that would be banned. I mean seriously, it's comical. That isn't even a blip in today's society.

Felt like he was on the edge the entire time he was on the mound though.

Woody is pissed. You'd think CC would have had that conversation with him before sending him out for the 6th, right?
  23. TURBO
Woodruff for the 6th, with 97 pitches before the inning starts? I thought we were saving the arms of our big 3, but instead we are going to abuse them? Doesn't make any sense, none.
  24. TURBO
well, that answers that, looks like Woodruff will be out for the 5th inning.

If we trade for a hitter, I am fully expecting a 2nd or 3rd tier type guy, not a big name.
