  1. Have you ever caught and had someone throw a fastball when you’re expecting some sort of off-speed? My guess is that’s what happened. So it is a common thing for a professional catcher to have happen. ok, thanks for the insight.
  2. No move announced yet. Wouldn't surprise me if they waited till tomorrow to see if anyone else in the pen bites the bullet and has to cover multiple innings tonight. Anderson, Barnes and Petricka are all possibilities. Don’t think they’ll pitch chase or Barnes, cause of the innings they pitched yesterday. And really hoping yesterday was last time we EVER see Petricka pitch for the crew. Is Petricka a surprise? The guy never should have seen an inning on this team, but as soon as he was picked up, we knew he'd be doing so...
  3. Ok, but if that is the case, Freitas is no upgrade. This is a meh deal...
  4. why? Seems like a move just to make a move.
  5. I see Maker still can't catch the basketball.
  6. The Blue Jays plan to purchase the contract of Eric Sogard from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday. They'll first need to make a 40-man roster move. Sogard could see fairly regular playing time at second base after the struggling Lourdes Gurriel was optioned to Triple-A following Sunday's game. 7. Don't look now, but Davies is having a really nice game... 6 innings with 76 pitches. He can go 7. Refreshing.
  8. I fully expect him to blow a couple of games for us early on in his return... Hopefully, I am wrong.
  9. He willingly signed the contract. This is far from robbery, no matter how you paint it.
  10. Arcia with yardwork and his back foot was all over the place... I guess that is just his style.
  11. bullpen game? how so? The Dodgers are starting a player that has thus far only pitched in relief appearances this season (7 total outings) and are expected to go to the bullpen early. Long relief right-handed hurler Dennis Santana is also expected to pitch tonight. ok, I thought he was talking about the Brewers...
  12. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, free agent right-hander Craig Kimbrel is still seeking a contract that he believes to be fair and in the range of the recent deals signed by Wade Davis and Zack Britton. Davis and Britton each inked three-year contracts, for $52 million and $39 million respectively. At some point, you would think that Kimbrel would lower his asking price or be willing to sign a one-year deal in order to get on the field, but it doesn't sound like there's much urgency coming from his camp at the moment. 13. Ummmmm, really? C'mon, that is just not true. How so? This deal is absolutely horrendous and clearly way under the market value for this type of a deal. There are multiple players to do better. The ceiling salary for 9 years is absolutely terrible. How so? You said he'd take any deal they offered, that is just ridiculous.
