  1. ...heading to a Toledo Mudhens, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, and Toronto Blue Jays game in the span of 5 days. Bummer is we won't see the Brewers playing any of those teams. Couple of high school buddies and I have been talking about doing something like this for a long time, now is that time. Anyone have any pointers for those stadiums? Anything would be great as I've never been to any of them in the past. Thanks in advance.
  2. Villar and base running mistakes... So much like Gomez, but to be honest, even worse...
  3. So sick of seeing Torres on the mound. This has to end, there has to be someone, someplace that can do better. yuk
  4. Dodgers acquired OF Victor Roache from the Brewers for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Roache was batting just .176/.238/.230 in 80 plate appearances this season for Double-A Biloxi. The former first-round pick possesses impressive raw power, but he is a 25-year-old non-prospect at this point. Source: Adam McCalvy on TwitterMay 4 - 1:36 PM
  5. And the bullet is thought to have been fired from outside the stadium. [sarcasm]So much for those metal detectors at all the MLB park gates.[/sarcasm] I hope this doesn't inspire anyone to see what they can hit in Miller Park if they stand in a parking lot/the VA Woods/outside a bar on Blue Mound/etc. That could happen anytime, anyplace. We are all just possible victims for the crazy in today's world... Sad, and scary.
  6. I would think we will get to witness a few of those hot streaks from him this year...
  7. Games have been played, players have played, the standings are not fake, neither are the numbers the players are putting up. It's what has happened.
  8. Since this is his 3rd season in Appleton, how long before they move him up? I know that injuries have derailed his advancement... He seems to have turned a corner, which is great to see. Still striking out a lot (about 26%) but looks a lot more patient and comfortable at the plate in general.
  9. any of our next 3 hitters can get the job done (Domingo, Shaw and Pina), after that, we are in bad shape.
  10. Picked off first base in late innings against the freaking Cardinals, and horrible play on defense yet people think he is improving... He simply can't be counted on in any situation, he is a loose cannon.
  11. Let's see how long we can keep this 2 run lead with Torres entering the game...
  12. We are surely experiencing bobble over kill. 11 bobbles this year. I'm a collector, and even I think they have crossed the line, they just aren't that special anymore.
  13. Who has a list of free agent starting pitchers for next year? It seems to me that if we can add a couple of frontline starters to this offense, we may be competing sooner than anyone thought. Why not, we should have a ton of cash to spend, right? EDIT: but of course, we'd need an overhaul of this putrid bullpen to have any shot at competing though...
  14. If Thames is with the team, and puts up these kind of numbers for the next 3 seasons, he will not be a cult hero, he will be a Brewers all time hero!
  15. Good, as it should be... Braun is a difference maker NOW! Anyone that wants him is going to have to pony up.
  16. 100% agree. We are adults, bullying needs to stop.
  17. Again, 15 games. We did not go from a rebuilding team to a contender over the course of 15 games. Plug in an ace and a solid #3 for what Davies and Milone (a decent Garza?) have been doing and we're a playoff team at this stage. The rebuild is done other than adding/subtracting here and there, now we sit and wait for it to mature. Well, I think we are in need of a true #1 and #2 starting pitcher, however, I don't think our current bullpen would allow a playoff appearance right now... We are probably closer than most think, but yet so far away. We have a ton of money to spend though, so we could be on the cusp of great things happening sooner than we expected.
