  1. Tommy Stokke of FanRag Sports reports that the Brewers "have emerged as a potential suitor" for Matt Wieters. Wieters' asking price both in years and dollars seems to have dropped at this point, which opens up more potential landing spots like Milwaukee. The Brewers acquired Jett Bandy from the Angels earlier this winter, but Wieters would obviously be an upgrade and his power would certainly play well at Miller Park. The Angels, Nationals and Braves are also reportedly keeping an eye on the veteran catcher's market. Source: FanRagSports.comJan 27 - 4:32 PM
  2. Good luck getting any pitchers to come here as free agents if we were the only team doing it... You better have a pretty strong bunch of really young, controllable guys if you want to even consider pulling this off.
  3. Scooter Gennett expects to receive reps at shortstop and perhaps the outfield in spring training. Gennett was drafted as a shortstop and started 12 games at the position in A-ball, but he's been a second baseman exclusively since then. However, with Jonthan Villar now entrenched at the keystone, Gennett will attempt to add to his versatility. The 26-year-old slugged a career-high 14 homers in 2016, but he hit an underwhelming .263/.317/.412 overall. Source: Milwaukee Journal SentinelJan 27 - 9:06 AM
  4. So if what you want to do is sign him and flip him, why hasn't anyone else thought of doing that? Are the Brewers the only team to use this strategy? It gets brought up here constantly. Sign guys to flip them, if it were so easy, don't you think other teams would catch on?
  5. I don't understand how they think they are doing the fans this big service by having On Deck, but then charging for autographs... You pay for a ticket to get in the place, then pay for autos? Not a Fan of On Deck.
  6. Brewers signed RHP Joba Chamberlain to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Chamberlain, 31, put up a solid 2.25 ERA and 18/11 K/BB ratio over 20 relief innings for the Indians last season but got released around midseason and didn't catch on anywhere else. He'll have to pitch his way onto the Opening Day roster again but has a decent shot at a middle relief job. Source: Jon Heyman on Twitter Jan 20 - 5:46 PM
  7. If anyone gets extras of the player cards at the tables, signed by those players, I'd be interested in purchasing or trading for them... Thanks!
  8. no longer need the 2017 version either, traded for both!
  9. How can he be a flip candidate when no one wants him for free right now? Way too much flipping talk, if it were that easy to flip players, you'd think it would happen all the time.
  10. I disagree, I like it on there, looks classy, not cluttered...
  11. Or when you're talking about a popular show and someone goes "I'm watching (insert totally obscure show that is only known by the actors and their parents) on Netflix. It's so much better than anything on TV." Yes, most mainstream things are watered down for the masses but your underground, hipster, indie show is probably just as crappy and you only like it because it's not popular. lol I can just substitute music for TV in your post and get the exact same thing I think about the hipster music that so many people like to say they listen to...
  12. No longer need the 2014...
  13. Anyone have one to trade? Looking for the 2014 version or the one they are giving out soon in 2016.
  14. Through the underwear, through the zipper... No thanks. It's all pipes, what's the difference!?!?! Too much fiddling around, I see no reason why you can't just unzip, pull down.......done! Why go through the hassle of unzipping, then trying to get "joey" out of the underwear hole, through the zipper. Seems like a big hassle. To each their own.
  15. Through the underwear, through the zipper... No thanks.
  16. Why is it any different for the Reds than us? I constantly see posts about getting a player and flipping them later, hardly a day goes by that it isn't mentioned. If it's good for the Brewers, why not good for anyone else? Not saying that Storen won't be that kind of player, but if it is as common as most here think, more power to the Reds.
  17. That's funny, I didn't even know people peed through their zippers, seems like a lot of trouble when all you have to do is unzip and pull down...
  18. The real problem is the fact that the song was even available to play... If it was a jukebox, why would the song even be on it?
  19. This seems like a no brainer to me... Why not?
  20. That's tough....So out of those 8 playoff appearances, we could possibly win 8 WS titles, or zero... I'm inclined to take Door A, because I am greedy, and freaking love Brewers playoff baseball. I like the chances of winning 8 titles, even though we could only hope to get one... I'll take Door A. Then again, winning one WS would be excellent, especially if it was a lock. Tough choices for sure. I'm switching to Door B and the promise of one world series title!!! Wait, can I still change my mind?
  21. That's horrible... Thanks for pointing that out, and yes, bummer. Hey, at least I now know not to order extra tickets for that game.
  22. Seriously, where did you hear that? If that is the case, the 2nd fan vote will surely be the new field dog...
  23. I am a huge fan of St. Anger myself, I can't for the life of me understand why everyone but me hates that album...lol
