  1. Except Ramirez was just cruising into 3rd base, actually slowing, then Sedar sends him and he has to try to garner some speed again (which he has none to begin with). Sending Ramirez was dumb, he is gimpy, slow and was already slowing down on his way into 3rd base. That is a lot to go wrong... Reynolds I can understand, but damn is he slow...
  2. He'll pitch great against us, count on it... I hate the Reds, hate them, hate them, HATE them!
  3. Those are pretty cool, great to add to the collection!
  4. The original Lawrie give away had dual sponsorship. Selective and Ansay... The majority of Lawrie bobbles given away were the ones with the Selective advertising plaque. That game was rained out BEFORE the game was played, and before fans had a chance to get to the stadium. So, most of the people with the bobble ticket packages got the Selective ones, as that is what they handed out at the customer service desk to those picking up bobbles at a later date. There are some of the ANSAY advertising plaques out there, but very few. They have rescheduled the Lawrie bobble game for August 14th, which is where the remainder of the bobbles will be given out, most of which will be the ones with the Ansay plaque. That give-away is being advertised as sponsored by Ansay this time around, not a dual sponsorship.. All of the remaining bobble games are only sponsored by one advertiser, so I'm hoping that means only one advertising plaque, and one bobble.
  5. I called the T-Rats office today and they told me the Gomez is full sized! YAY! The 20 year anniversary ones are all minis, but not the "special" 2. (Henderson and Gomez)
  6. It's a great bobble too, so much nicer than the ones the Brewers hand out... I am not a fan of the minis they are doing this year, but if the Gomez does turn out to be a full sized bobble, that will be awesome!
  7. All 3 the seller had sold within a day...
  8. Not sure exactly, but my guess is when he pitched for the T-Rats, he wore his Brewer whites pants with the rest of the T-Rats uniform.
  9. Do you think that RRR is no longer calling the shots when he is ejected? My bet is that every decision made when a manager gets tossed is still his call.
  10. Pretty glad the Henderson was not a mini...I hope the Gomez is also regular sized, but the picture sure looks like it is smaller...
  11. I have never seen one of these before until I came across it on ebay. Pretty cool! Says it was given away on Valentine's day to season ticket holders. I think I might have to locate one, just a neat thing for the collection. Has anyone seen these before, and if so, what is a fair price? The seller is asking $25 plus shipping, but it has make an offer... http://www.ebay.com/itm/390875767499?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  12. Yeah, we already knew Marco would deal up some homers, that was a given, but they are making this guy look like superman! BRAUN!
  13. This A&E Jewelers commercial is KILLING me! I can't mute the volume quick enough when that commercial and the Wisconsin lottery commercial comes on. Same thing with the Marshfield Clinic. UGGHHH! I know I have been complaining about the commercials a lot, but it is like nails on a chalkboard...
  14. The Reds scare the crap out of me! They are too good to be this bad... In the end, I think they may have something to say about this division.
  15. You can have the best record and still be an underdog. As stated, the Reds beat us 5 of 7, if we came up against them head to head, I guarantee we'd be the underdog. Same thing with the Dodgers. I love a positive attitude (I often wish mine was a bit more on the positive side regarding this team we all love so much), but the smug, all knowing nonsense is sometimes just so hard to stomach. It is one thing to discuss opinions, it is totally another to state opinions as facts.
  16. That is what I would have thought last year, when we were out of it, had no 1B, yet we didn't give him a chance... We were out of contention last year, but didn't give him the chance. we could have easily afforded a guy hitting .180 for several months until he figured some things out, but we did not give the guy a chance. All I am saying is that we had the ultimate situation last year to give our possible future 1B a chance, and we didn't do it. Someone in this organization does not believe in Hunter Morris, if that is the case, there may be very few teams out there, even those out of contention, that feel different than us... If we thought he had any chance of being our guy in the future, last season was the perfect chance for us to allow him to figure some things out, we didn't do it, even in our state of desperation, we ignored the kid.
  17. If the Brewers aren't comfortable with Morris at 1B, when it is an obvious need, I doubt any other team would want him there either...
  18. *sigh* Some days, I just don't get it... Oh, and that catch that Herrera just made should be made every time by MLB center fielders. I am grumpy, this game has made me grumpy.
  19. ...and we make fun of the Rockies defense? That was complete little league defense right there, down right little league...
  20. Quoted for truth! When my son was deep into club soccer, I was into the world cup, thought it was great and very exciting! Now that my son is no longer involved in soccer, I just haven't had the interest level, but for one summer, 2010 I believe, it was AWESOME! I don't dislike soccer, in fact, it's a great sport, but since I didn't grow up playing, and the connection I had to the game through my son is gone, I can live without it. I have tuned in to random games here and there though...
  21. I can't imagine anyone currently on this roster playing SS for an extended period of time... yikes.
  22. JDLR? Why would we want him for anything other than free? Our obvious need is still 1B, I don't think another starter is something we should be concentrating on at this juncture.
  23. I'm not a world cup fan, but now you know how non-packer fans feel...
