  1. I was told by my season ticket rep that, as this is a Marlins home series, they didn't have access to the ticketing system and couldn't help me get seats. I had to go through the website like everyone else, but I still managed to score two 7th row Diamond Box seats behind the home dugout for Sunday's game.
  2. Could the acquisition of a LHP reliever signal a move of Hader into the starting rotation?
  3. Just got my season ticket renewal email, and it looks like there may only be 4 All-Fan giveaways next year. Have to assume June 4 and July 2 will be kids-only giveaways or limited to a certain number of fans. From the list of early renewal incentives: EDIT: I moved this post from the ML forum - here seemed more appropriate
  4. I picked up an authentic Dillard BP jersey at the Brewers Sausage 5k this summer - I'm looking forward to the strange looks I'll likely get when I break it out at the park this weekend.
  5. Counsell was similarly nervous in his first press conference. I'm willing to bet Stearns will be an extremely comfortable speaker once he comes back down from Cloud 9. Good for him, I wish him the best!
  6. I, for one, am going to miss Melvin's "and that." Here's to hoping Mr. Stearns has a similar endearing vocal tic. Something other than "um" or "ah".
  7. Link to printable 2016 MKE schedule: https://mlblogsbrewers.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/mb-16_schedule-home_h.pdf Notable that this will be the Brewers first trip to Oakland since June 2002.
  8. I wore mine to a game a few weeks back, so that may have been me. I've had someone stop and ask me if I'd sell it, and I believe my response was something along the line of, "Absolutely not!"
  9. Late last season in the team store at Miller Park, they had a series of Racing Sausage t-shirts with the Bierbrauer/Birrai/Piwowarzy scripts on the front, and the corresponding sausage name and number on the back (ie., BRAT 1). The Bierbrauer one was green (I purchased one). It may be worth a call down there to see if these are still available.
  10. Somebody had asked back in #233 about his jersey number, so I thought I'd do a little legwork so others didn't have to. Sorry to jump down your throat. I really need to stop lurking the JSOnline comment threads- it's apparently contagious, like the plague. Won't happen again, sir.
  11. He will be issued a new number...what do you expect? Wow, you're smart for figuring that out! Here's a cookie! ...I'm speaking more of what number he'll be given, as his number hadn't been changed yet. But, good job! Atta boy!
  12. After a few hours without a uniform number assigned to Counsell on the Brewers website, they've finally updated the page. Looks like he's got his #30 back. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/team/coaches.jsp?c_id=mil Thornburg is still listed as #30 on the 40-man roster, so I'm not what's going to happen there.
  13. Ben Hendrickson, May 20th, 2006, vs the Twins. 0 outs recorded in the first inning. It got ugly. http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=260520108
  14. The voting page for the last all-fan giveaway went live today: http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mil/fan_forum/fan_vote.jsp?partnerId=ed-9114433-791824253 I voted for the knit cap. If I end up with a GD Hank cereal bowl, I am going to be pissed.
  15. My vouchers for both the Major League and Star Wars games, as well as the Stitch N Pitch event, all came over this past weekend in the same envelope. If you haven't received yours yet, you should soon. That being said, I've yet to receive my 20-game package ticket booklets. Weird.
  16. The Stitch N' Pitch sales page went live today. It is a Hank, and the game is Thursday, June 11th. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mil/ticketing/stitchnpitch.jsp
  17. For many years the wife and I would always grab seats in Bernies Terrace for the bobblehead games as a cheap Sunday outing that also fed my bobblehead addiction. I think in 2013 they charged $15/seat. Let's just say there were always lots of empty seats available up there that were probably still paid for. The Brewers changed that last season, though- as of 2014, BT tickets are no longer a cheap option for those bobblehead games. Due to demand-based pricing, the BT tickets are now priced the same as Terrace Reserved on bobblehead Sundays ($25?). I found that out the hard way last year after I had my season ticket rep pull tickets for me for the bobblehead games and realized when I saw my credit card statement afterwards that prices had changed. Needless to say, this season we're sitting in TR behind home plate instead of way up in the corner for the same price. So, the gypsies are now paying a lot more than they did before last season. Hard to see how it's profitable.
  18. I did notice that they upped the price of the Terrace Reserved seats for the Major League Night from $19 (when I bought mine yesterday) to $25. Demand-based pricing?
  19. The BobbleHank is an all-fan giveaway. That promotional calendar that I linked in my previous post to didn't have it listed as a bobblehead like the others, only as an all-fan giveaway. That calendar was probably an early draft that hasn't been corrected. Here is the current, accurate "all-fan" promotional calendar (which I should have checked first): http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mil/ticketing/allfans.jsp
  20. What am I missing? 10 giveaways, these 2, stitch n pitch? What's the 14th? I had used this promotional schedule to come up with that number: http://brewers.brochure-mlb.com/2015/images/schedule.pdf It looks like they have 8/2 and 9/20 listed wrong on this schedule, though - They're Garza and Gennett Gnomes, not bobbleheads. The also have the 5/10 Bobblehank listed as just an all-fan giveaway. So... this schedule is a little off. My apologies. So you're right, it's 10 Sunday bobbleheads, bringing the total to 13, not 14. That is, assuming that the October 4th Fan-Vote item doesn't end up being a 14th bobble!
  21. So, assuming they do Stitch n Pitch again this year, this will make it 14 bobbleheads this year, not counting variants. I may have finally reached my saturation point. Don't get me wrong, I love that they do this stuff, but as a collector, I'm considering throwing in the towel. (Will I? Probably not. But I'm thinking about it!)
  22. First announced giveaway is a Rob Deer bobblehead on 4/12. I dig it. http://mlb.com/mil/ticketing/allfans.jsp?partnerId=ed-8775246-750780533 Now if they'd just add a Jeff Cirillo bobble to this year's list, I'll be pretty happy. Add a Ted Simmons on top of that (which I doubt will ever happen), and I'd be over the moon.
  23. There's 13 all-fan giveaway Sundays, and it appears 11 of them are bobbleheads. (I thought I had read 10 originally, but the schedule indicates 11.) http://brewers.brochure-mlb.com/2015/images/schedule.pdf
  24. If you look at the schedule on the Season Ticket renewal page (likely not accessable to non-ticket holders), it indicates that 11 of the 13 Sunday all-fan giveaways are going to be bobbleheads. Edit: Here's a link to a pdf of the schedule: http://brewers.brochure-mlb.com/2015/images/schedule.pdf I do like the fact that the Brewers are offering, as an incentive to 20-game package holders to pay-in-full early, the option of choosing to receive a complimentary set of all 13 Sunday All-Fan Giveaway items. The other option, which is $25 in food/beverage vouchers for each seat in the package, is a really good deal, too. I'll probably go with the giveaway set, just to potentially open up a Sunday or two that may have been previously dedicated to going to a game to feed my bobblehead addiction.
  25. I'm a right-field bleacher 20-game package holder (Section 104, Row 4) since 2005. In '08 and '11 they had me in the Loge Bleachers, but way up top. This year they have me in Loge Bleachers 204, row 4; nearly directly above my normal seats. I, too, must have hit some sort of longevity benchmark. I can't complain.
