It always seems like Brewer pitchers throw 3 times as many pitches than the opponent in the first inning. I'm getting depressed about this team.

Listening to the Nationals announcers anticipate a possible series sweep with Livan Hernandez going in the next game is not fun.

Axford looked good today, nice play by Prince, good win all around. It's a winning streak.

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly a game can get tight like this. Grounder past weeks, one through the middle, and now here we are with bases loaded. All with two outs, all after loading the bases and getting one run from the 4 and 5 hitters. Ugh.

I'm a bit of a pessimist, but it seems that the Brewers always get us right on the verge of a fun/relaxing win to watch, and then keep it close. Probably all teams do this.

It seems they've let a few chances for late inning runs get away in this series. Hopefully Prince can cash this one in. Edit: He did, sort of.

It's early, and he's not played much, but it's getting harder to think Morgan shouldn't be out there quite a bit.

I think Marcum is likely ok. I think he was a bit wild at the get go and showed a bit of emotion and I think he's getting squeezed because of that. I think Wood came out sharp and he's getting the benefit now with a wider zone. That's a nice start!

I hate that when they went into the 9th up by 3 the only thing I could think was "this could be terrible," and that I was right. I don't want to feel that way, and I don't want to be a pessimist, but the Brewers make it hard.

Buffalo is pretty rabid about the Sabres, but the NBA team in Buffalo only lasted about 10 years, and there has been talk of the Bills moving to Toronto for several years. I live in upstate NY, in the Bills TV area, and in a typical season about half the Bills home games aren't televised because they are not sold out. I think you are right about the baseball stadium being built for potential expansion, and it's a relatively nice AAA stadium, but I don't think there would be enough interest/fan money to support an MLB team there. -
Was just reading through this thread and wondered if anybody has opinions about the Brewers chances with this schedule after all the winter changes. The Brewers look to be more competitive, but the schedule is, of course, still brutal.

Seems like a long time ago.It does seem like a long time ago. I didn't remember the Inglett connection. I was also at a 17 inning game on 5/15/03 in which the Brewers lost 4-2 to the cubs. It was K. Wood and Sheets, and it was 1-1 after 9.

The last inning of the game was on MLBN with Uecker's call as the audio. That's the way to watch a Brewer game.

The rarest thing I saw was Prince's inside the park home run against the Blue Jays, 6/19/08. Dave Bush also had a no hitter into the 8th that day. Then, the bullpen nearly blew an 7 run lead by giving up 6 runs with 2 outs in the 9th. It was a strange game.

I was at last night's game. I can't decide if being there tonight would have been better. I mean, if they lose that would be unfortunate, but this is a game you could say "I was there." Last night, they won, but it was pretty boring.

They haven't been this hard to watch in a few seasons, that's for sure. It seems that nothing ever goes right.
