  1. "---Ann Carrol and Davey Nelson annoy the heck out of me, though."--- Well, Ann Carrol bugs me a lot, but I actually like Davey. He's obviously not the best sports talk show kinda guy but you can tell he cares about the team and such. I like him and Craig together.
  2. ----"1: With a pop up just in front of the pitchers mound Braun flew in and grabbed the ball in front of Graffy. My seats are right there and I didn't hear him call. Who should be calling for that?"---- I believe that that was Bruan ball to call, but he obviously didn't communicate well with Yo and Graffy. I may be wrong though. ----"2: Again a pop up right in front of me where Miller and Braun dropped a pop up and no one yelled for the ball. Isn't that Braun's call to call the catcher off since that is easier?"---- That is Braun's ball, and why he didn't call it I do not know. Another case of poor communication. -----"3: When Bill Hall threw the ball to third not on target, Counsell was in perfect position to cut the errant throw off to get the runner going to second. Counsell looked frustrated when he saw where the throw ended up. With his back to the play at third isn't it the 3baseman's job to yell cut and Braun's non communication cause a third misplay."----- You're correct, on that play if Braun knows the throw is off and there's a better chance of the guy at second, he should have yelled cut. Possibly he thought that he had a play regardless of the bad throw. Obviously Braun still has some defensive issues that will eventually be worked out with time.
  3. Uecks was pretty good on that grand slam call. Way to go billy!
  4. All I know is I'm gonna up the intensity on my voting. It will be interested to see how this turns out. Come on Prince!
  5. --"The Brewers-Braves game on Friday, September 21 at 6:35 pm will now be broadcasted on ESPN. No word yet on the status of the FSN telecast."-- Huh, thats cool. That could end up being a big game, with possible playoff implications for both teams. (knock on wood)
  6. "I get 16 IP?" Ya I think that seems about right. That's still pretty impressive though.
  7. Durbin sure got out of there quickly. 8 freaking hits and a couple walks and only 2 runs to show for it. But hey, if that's all we need, I'll take it.
  8. "They say that pigs are smarter than dogs and horses, yet most of us (obviously excluding devout Jews & Muslims) don't hesitate to eat them." That's probably due to the fact that dogs and horses are kept as pets, and relationships are made between the two. Dogs show emotion and have friendship qualities that pigs don't have.
  9. "Mainstream stats. ------Splits-----, situational stats, career stats, Batter vs. Pitcher numbers, and individual game logs are available on each player page." Well, I feel dumb once again. I geuss since I've been on the stats pages at Yahoo a lot and never seen the splits link I didn't take the time to read the description you guys had. Thanks for the help guys.
  10. Quick question. I looked through baseball almanac and couldn't find anything on splits. If I wanted to find out Jenks OPS against righties, is there a sight for that? Or do I have to find that out by just looking at a bunch of box scores? Also, if I want to find out monthly stats, is there any way of doing that without consulting box scores? Thanks for the help.
  11. "I love OAR though, I bet I listen to A Crazy Game of Poker at least once a day on average." Not to get to off-topic here, but I'm going to have to disagree with you here. As far as sheer musical ability and songwriting goes, Phish completely blows Oar away. Phish's music is diverse and they can play several different styles. Oar's music is all incredibly similar. I play the bass, and was and can figure out pretty much any bass line of any Oar song in 2 minutes. I could never do that for Phish. Plus, they use the exact same rythms for an astounding number of songs. Phish's jamming is about 20 times better too. Now, back on just Phish, I think they are a very good band that is stacked with talent ......... But I've never gotten really into them the way I have with other jams bands.
  12. I'd suggest going to Cleveland. The city reminds me a bit of Milwaukee. I would tell you how cool the ballpark is, but I've only seen the outside. You see, I went there in early April, and was met with a foot of snow. It's ironic becuase when we came back to Milwaukee I went to the same game I was going to go to there at Miller.
  13. Wow, 40,000 votes that's pretty impressive. I posted in an old thread about the impact bf.net could have if every one voted 25 times just every other day. I can't remember the number but it's huge. Now that exams are over I'll be able to start voting every day again.
  14. Although it's hard to pick just one book, Life of Pi might be my favorite. The story of Pi's survival on the lifeboat is very cool, and the ending is odd but very satifying. I highly suggest it to anyone for a good read.
  15. That was pretty darn funny. I hate rap music but just becuase this is about the Crew, it's awesome. "Sheater with the heater" has got to be the best part.
  16. That was a bomb by Prince right there.
  17. That was a sweet catch by Jenks right there.
  18. After reading this IGT thus far, I proudly applaud mikerollins, and I agree with him on everything he said regarding Sheets.
  19. Question. What's the deal with Vin Scully? Why is he so great? (I've never heard of him)
  20. Dangit Ueker, your killing me here. "Get up, get up, get outta here, FOUL, for JJ"
  21. They had the pitch stuff last year I think. It's pretty nice, ecspecially if you don't have a radio on hand.
  22. There you go Rickie. I'm liking this lineup today, with Gwynn, JJ, Prince.
