  1. A bit off topic, but went to a drive in last night and saw it too. Did you go to the HIghway 18 one out in Jefferson? It was my first drive-in movie, I had a great time, and the night was awesome for it. This is a long shot, but I chatted Brewers for about 15 seconds with a guy while in the concession line. Any chance you were that guy? But anyways, I thought it was a solid movie. It wasn't my favorite Pixar film, but still very good. I was hoping for a little more funny, but the story was very, very good. Animation, as always, was top notch. Glad to see them rebound from Cars, which was very sub-par imo.
  2. I'd really appreciate, as would all bf.netters, a solid start by Soupcan tonight. I'm interested to see how the pink fares 2 days in a row. We must continue to do pink until they lose.
  3. ---"It simply makes our lives more difficult."---- Sorry, but how does does it make lives more difficult? don't see how it does.
  4. I love baseball for many, many reason. I love playing the game. There's nothing like a 12 inning marathon that you win with a walkoff hit. Nothing like making a great play, making a routine play, turning 2 smoothly, having a perfect relay and throwing a guy out. There's nothing like botching a ground ball, then making up for it with an rbi double the next inning. Nothing like a simple game of catch, or the feeling of when you're in the groove at the plate. I also love playing the game as a young kid in the backyard. My fondest memories of those days are running to my friends house, getting the neighborhood boys together, and playing for hours every day. Baseball is what I remember when I look back at my childhood. That for me is what makes me love the game the most.
  5. Sheesh, I'm surprised about all the negative reactions to this. I'm hardly a movie critic or know much about movies at all, but I do know this. This movie was enjoyable, made me laugh, had good action, and a (what I thought) was a good enough plot. That's all I want in a movie. I've never seen the old transformers, but from what it sounds like the other Autobots had more personality. That was my one thing that I thought was lacking. They didn't develop them at all, which was dissapointing. But for those of you who didn't like it and thought it sucked, what exactly did suck about it? I didn't see anything wrong with the script/acting/plot. What was it that was so bad?
  6. I've scored 10 or so games at home. I have to be in a certain mood to do it at home, it seems. I love scoring when I'm at the games, but I HATE the scorecards at Miller Park. They have the basepaths on them, which are annoying as it is, but they're too big and its hard to write in the sides. Of the other ballparks I've been to, all of them have just plain empty squares. I really hope Miller will change theirs, as it would make me score more at games for sure.
  7. Orv's is definitely a solid cheap pizza, the Rizer being the best. However, my favorite rising crust pizza goes to Jacks. Its absolutely delicious. I don't know what it is about it, but its just great.
  8. I think he would care where he hits it. I bet he doesn't want to get booed when he breaks the most hallowed record in sports, but cheered in San Fran.
  9. Here's to hoping Capuano comes back strong. And now I've got the inevitable feeling I always get when the Brewers face a pitcher's who's making his first start in the bigs. I hate that feeling.
  10. It truly is Miller time. What a stretch this guy is on.
  11. Sheesh, Suppan is not sharp at all tonight. His pitch count is way up there. At least he's kept us in the game so far. (Had we not scored 3 runs, he wouldn't have kept us in it; hence Rluz's fan perception of pitchers http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. -----"2007 Hardy = 2008 Weeks"----- Wow, never thought about that, but now that I do it seems likely that it could happen. It certainly is very possible.
  13. -----"4. The final and most important rule: The outcome of the game you start in is more important than anything else. 4 ER in 5 IP but your team won? Good start for the pitcher. 3 ER over 6 IP but your team loses? Didn't get the job done."----- I especially like this one. It's amazing how the more casual fans abide by this rule. Although this sort of ties in with #4, you may want to consider this rule. 4 ER in 5 IP with a win, and the pitcher "knows how to win." But of course, if the pitcher goes 6 innnings with 3 ER with a loss, well then he just doesn't know how to win.
  14. Wow, after reading whynotthebrewers post again, I now feel very, very stupid. I thought what he said was his opinion, and I didn't pick up that he was referring to that of the big market. I misinterpreted it. My bad.
  15. Great review. I only wish they could of mentioned Woogie and his amazing IGT's, and maybe provide a link to show just how good they are.
  16. Please Soup come through with a solid performance here. A quality start is all we need.
  17. -----"When the brewers struggle it's because they are really not ready for the big time and not that good. When the mets, yanks, boston, or LA struggle, its because they are in a slump and will work out of it."----- That statement is just plain wrong. When the Brewers struggle it has nothing do to with them "not being ready for the big time." When they struggle its becuase they're in a slump, just like the Mets, Yanks, Boston and LA. And they work out of it, just like those teams. (hence 10-20, then 12-3 after, excluding Cubs series) And saying they struggle becuase they're "not that good" is blatantly incorrect also. Edit: See my below post.
  18. "----- People, this is his 3rd year. Are we still going to expect the best when the 4th, 5th, or even 6th year come rolling around."----- Sure, why not? Not to mention those 3 years were hampered by injuries. Plenty of players didn't develop fully until after their first 3 years.
  19. I may be wrong on this, but isn't bernies mug on a brewery tour? Is it Lakefront, Miller? But I agree it should be brought back. Bernies dugout is really lame as it is right now.
  20. Have they not shown the NL starters yet? Edit: I see they're doing AL pitchers. Ugh this is dumb. Edit #2: I wasn't watching TBS, but instead ESPN. I am dumb.
  21. ---"is that trick photogrophy stuff, or not?"--- I don't think so. That is just very weird. And very disturbing.
  22. Ughh........... so many bad things happening. Should be 2-1 in my book right now.
  23. ---"Premature and considering what is going on this weekend...not cool... "--- That really wasn't needed at all. It was a hypothetical question, and he wasn't saying that the Brewers are in the playoffs yet. He was just wondering about would happen in that situation. And also, we lost one game so far this weekend. That's all. I'd say thats a little premature to panic.
  24. That game officially sucked. Enough said. Well, here's to Benny having a good start tomorow and a Brewers victory. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  25. Damian Miller with a walk off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
