    Did Gagne just not want to spoil his pristine 6+ ERA? From the looks of it, Gagne was getting squeezed.

    But Soriano isn't a typical lead off hitter. I understand his value may be even greater if he hit lower in the lineup, but having the ability to flip doubles and HR's out of that lead off spot is nothing to be angry about.

    ESPN has a thing on the bottom of their game cast showing the % chance of scoring. Is that % in theory, or does in take into account the team that is actually batting?

    I wasn't on here earlier to comment on the lineup, but I think it may be a good thing to have Fielder bat in front of Braun for a while. I know they didn't like it earlier, but so far this season, I don't think Fielder has been as much a "protection" than Braun. I think Fielder will start to see better pitches in front of Braun.

    Wouldn't this just play into the emo kids hands? They already feel angsty for being alienated. Making the alienation official would just make more teens emo. *shudder*

    Yeah sorry about that. I think this is a good trade for the Yankees. Molina has been a decent fill-in, but has not been putting up the #'s of a solid catcher. Pudge should bring some extra pop to that position and obviously has more catching experience than Molina.

    Per ESPN: The Yankees have acquaired catcher Ivan Rodriguez from the Tigers. Detroit will get right-handed pitcher Kyle Farnsworth, who played with the Tigers previously in 2005.
