  1. Today was the first time in Nationals history that a starter failed to record an out.
  2. Is it just me or did the runner not touch home on that final play?
  3. Most of the people who write comments on the Milwaukee Brewers Facebook page. I know not everyone is as knowledgeable as those who frequent Brewerfan, but oof!
  4. Anyone else catch this interview on ESPN? Not saying that fans can't be rude and affect a player's psyche (see Derek Anderson), but Milton Bradley definitely takes the cake on the crazy. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4981196
  5. I agree, tix are kind of pricey given the state of the team. There was a section in the upper deck that has $10 tickets before the game, but usually they are gone by 2hrs before game time. So if you want to grab those you have to get there reaallly early. I found Stub Hub to be a good spot for tickets and got some behind the visitors bullpen for about $5 off face last season. I'd say anywhere in the outfield is a pretty good spot to sit. Personally I like the food at the ballpark. If you are into chili dogs I'd definitely recommend going to Ben's Chili Bowl. It is a DC establishment with a set-up in the stadium. Hope that helps!
  6. Anyone else get the vaccine? I got the mist about a week ago. So far so good, but it was definitely crazy to see close to 1,000 people ahead of me to get the darn thing. For those who aren't choosing to get it, any reason why not?
  7. Ephraim, The %@##@++! Rabbit? Edit: didn't realize the word I was trying to say would be censored. Family Guy reference FAIL.
  8. One contract I was surprised about is Bernard Gilkey's. Yes, he hasn't played since 2000, but the Diamondbacks are going to be paying him until 2017. I actually think it was pretty smart of the D'Backs to do these deferred salary plans, but it's interesting nonetheless. Link: http://www.cnbc.com/id/32333349/site/14081545
  9. I worked at the Milwaukee County Zoo one summer and had never lived in Wisconsin prior to that summer. My first day someone asked where the Tyme machine was, and I definitely thought they meant Time machine, and thought that person was crazy. Luckily I was quickly informed that all they wanted was the ATM machine.
  10. Why wouldn't he just eat the peanuts?
  11. Here are 10 from my favorite blog, List of the Day: 1. My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife: Marrying you has screwed up my life. 2. I see your face when I am dreaming. That's why I always wake up screaming. 3. Kind, intelligent, loving and hot; This describes everything you are not. 4. Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss, But I slept with you 'cause I was pissed. 5. I thought that I could love no other That is, until I met your brother. 6. Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you. But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head. 7. I want to feel your sweet embrace; But don't take that paper bag off your face. 8. I love your smile, your face, and your eyes Damn, I'm good at telling lies! 9. My love, you take my breath away. What have you stepped in to smell this way? 10. My feelings for you no words can tell, Except for maybe 'Go to hell'
  12. A fellow student brought up some example in class today to which the professor simply stated, "Small Sample."
  13. I bet someone didn't have their tray table in its full upright and locked position.
  14. So a little OT but on my flight back to DC yesterday I sat across the row from Herb Kohl. When he was not sleeping, he was reading news about the Grizzlies signing Darius Miles and other NBA news, but I couldn't make the other stuff out. That is all.
  15. A blackberry and some cash.
  16. Ugh. I remember I was visiting my family in Wisconsin that year and my parents and I were trying to get back home after Christmas. Granted, I didn't mind sticking around, but my parents were sure frustrated.
  17. I really enjoyed last night's finale and the cameo at the end was awesome. I can't wait for season 6!
  18. I just got back from RockNRolla and I have to say I was a little disappointed. I usually enjoy Guy Ritchie films, but this one seemed to drag on far longer than any of his other ones. I mean, there were definite great parts to the movie and I think I would still rate it on the positive side of the scale, but I think there was just something missing. Any one else see it yet? What did you think?
