  1. thats cool MLB ump gets his own bobble. a few possibilities like arm bobbling for signals of "safe" or "out"
  2. so gorman thomas is drafted in june 1969 by seattle pilots and debuts april 1973. he never wouldve played a game in the big show in seattle. ok fair enough. heres a look at the powder blue seattle pilots jersey. http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/000/908/507/Pilots_display_image.jpg?1304340595
  3. Seems like a logical guess.. Why would Sea Pilots and Mil Bravos have alternate styles. And 82 retros, variants but like G Scott perhaps half half. SGA 2013 Piwowarzy - no variant jun 23 H Aaron - no variant jul 7 H Kuenn - variant 50:50 aug 4 G Thomas - no variant sept 1 B Oglivie - variant 50:50 sept 15
  4. Go Go will be all Gold as far as I can tell from this weeks program. Makes sense they want to give everyone a taste of the "cerveceros"
  5. Imagine my surprise looking in the box and finding a retro when I thought it wouldn't happen. I only brag bc I was zero for my last 99. (I think molitor 04 was the last time). And on that day almost 10y ago we bought extra Bernie seats for $5
  6. yeah, i suppose as "sports memorabelia" goes. it doesnt get any better than whats being actually used during the games.. i suppose those who really value that stuff. must REALLY value it.
  7. why did the dodgers throw at lucroy yesterday. i thought i was paying attention and then they threw him high and in. ump warned both sides. all in my section were wondering what had prompted that moment? didnt seem like an accident.
  8. All the H8 to front row amy for selling a single ticket next to her for $350. I also think she has deleted her fb acct!!!
  9. i dont believe they are sold out yet!!! poss they dont sell out i suppose.
  10. this looks like good news for someone who wishes for no alternates!!! ps - i'd thought this was a no-brainer for an alt. maybe brewers team is hearing the groans from the posters on bf.net - ok maybe not.
  11. speaking on behalf of anonymous poster, he probably would be enthusiastic to accept free tix to see zack greinke pitch against his old team may 21!!
  12. i'd had a tix to dump and found that stubhub was the only chance for any return.. they were 300 level tix at that. good luck
  13. is it wrong for ppl to go to the team store and then sell it for 2X online? you know there will be a few "ebaypreneurs" thinking along those lines.
  14. i got the gomez dash mark once in person. its like a mockery when this happens to ask these guys for autos. i also got the rest of the team on a ROMLB item in maryvale time ago. (i think it was discussed earlier how much something like this is worth! not much for those who didnt see it) that signed photo looks decent. yeah, i'd heard from those who seek autos that the only way these guys are really paying attention is when they are in that structure (paid for their time) to do a good job.
  15. reuben quevedo.. that is a classic!!! i only wish he mightve suggested one-time all star rickie bones..
  16. disregarding the variant reaction / overreaction.. of the 10 SGAs - what does everyone think will be the bobbles in highest demand? and conversely, the least demand? lets speculate.. heres my review. HIGHEST: hank aaron - milwaukee braves jersey makes this a classic norichika aoki - tune in tokyo.. the yen factor likely overstated, but seems like itll hold value. carlos gomez - barring injury, i think go-go is the toast of the town. viva cerveceros. LOWEST: corey hart - throwback bobble? current player wearing 100-yr-old retro jersey. ***.. gorman thomas - retro player wearing seattle jersey. see above.. ben oglivie - i love they did it, but at MP SGA the last bobble has equated least interest. avg.. ryan braun - this is the 3rd time. and for a 40/30 distinction, seems ho hum. #8 still is most popular brewer. george scott - none of recent generations seen him but w the fro and the gold bling, this is nice piwowarzy - the sausages / mascots seem to hold value. this looks slightly more appealing than barrelman harvey kuenn - heres to harveys wallbangers!! lets have a toast..
  17. Going out on a limb. I'm guessing Ryan Braun is a lock for a bobblehead. And a bobblehead alternate. You heard it here first.
  18. so whats the predictions for bobbleheads in 2014.
  19. Anyone notice this?? It took me a while to identify the rickie weeks bobblehead.. I first thought it was a proto.. http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab24/pepsimax999/1-photo5.jpg --------- It appears this is current FC piece from the team store. http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pMLB2-14921024dt.jpg
  20. for the price i'd listed them at.. published price was a few dollars higher (try 20%).. actually thinking more about it, i think that 43% was a conservative estimate bc i didnt even investigate whether there were any extra convenience fees (like that $5 yammer for pdf tix) just relooked at the receipt, there were deductions from commission and MLB transfer fee. regardless of any perspective, the deficit between the paid price and the amt given to the seller - 40+ percentage is an awesome sum. and i am totally happy with the convenience of conducting the transaction electronically. it was worth paying the middle man in most of these cases i sell tix. i'm just astounded as a former season tix holder with the phx suns, the deficit was 22% with ticketexchange. so now i know how those grand "ticket oak" commercials during prime time TV are funded. i suppose the takeaway is for person-to-person exchanges (like from bf.net or craigslist) - there is a great opportunity for savings cutting out the middle-man.
  21. i'd not thought to look at the brewers gameday programs for bobble intel. guess what. aoki was advertised to be limited variant. http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab24/pepsimax999/aoki-april7.jpg
  22. sorry these are now sold via stubhub. but very surprised after figuring out the math. stubhub aka "the middle man" collects 43% of inventory which is not theirs. holy cow. (of course the buyer paid more well more than what i'd offered here!)
  23. oh on a totally separate topic. i'd heard MP authorities apparently have a major crackdown on the bobble vultures. i know very little on this as i'd not attended that many "all-fan" brewer bobble days at MP. i'd heard theres a small army of ppl trying to get their hands on these SGA but never seen it. i did notice around home plate main entrance there was a guy saying "$5" under his breath. later on i'd talked to one of the sellers i'd done some repeat biz with and he'd told me a few things like: * folks on grounds seen by authorities trying to buy or solicit for bobbleheads are cited and then ejected. (unverified) * folks on grounds seen by authorities trying to buy or solicit for bobbleheads for a 2nd time are arrested. (unverified) * theres an inside job ongoing where one of the employees is getting paid off and handing over SGA. apparently even after snitching, their boss or boss's boss basically looks the other way. (unverified) i take it with a grain of salt but obviously there are improprieties when stuff like this floats around. also observed a few things from aoki day. * guy i sat next to said he didnt even want to have the bobble. and he'd reluctantly took it and gladly sold it for $5. i'd joked with him about the beer for bobble exchange. * fans walking around are like vultures looking for discarded bobbles under seats. many are mischievous. * we'd had a dozen tix and walked into every door all directions. and grand total loot of pinstriped alts = zippo!! i wouldve thought variants were a myth but i'd noticed many pulled. just not us!
  24. i'm curious if theres any confirmation of the alt g scott. gotta assume its on.
