    yeah. rare event no PDF tix on stubhub. consider the schools in last four out, none of the fan bases would show up on wednesday for the humiliation of being in the loser bracket. dont think you could even pay someone to waste a more important commodity, their time! oh yeah, i cant wait to go. if theyre selling GA for $6, i'm guessing the seller is making $1.

    apparently the first thousands of so donors get the "gold painted" bobblehead. for reasons blatantly obviously and less inherent, this "hall-of-fame and grill" certainly wont be ready 2016 - not with the $250000 seed money they are shooting for. but for all the money they have been able to solicit from those who read their press release, that is kinda cool to fold and walk away from kickstarter campaign padding the wallet. EDIT: apparently i dont understand kickstarter 101. the "founders / ceo / president" dont get any fundraising backing unless the goal is reached by deadline. credit for being ambitious!

    What does everyone think of the Chorizo? Obviously looks like a sellers market at this point.     I looked at this trade simply as someone who lived in AZ for many seasons of DBacks games wondering if the mighty Red Sox / Yankees are exchanging DB castaways at the trade deadline. I'd think indeed OP is on point about adding SD for depth but I suppose the GP move getting the DB castaway from the source is useful.

    Some folks who don't like the variants don't collect them? Some folks who don't like the variants still decide to collect them? I guess I wonder why the conversation persists about the disappointment that more scarce, fun, valuable things exists for those who like to gather the comprehensive collection. Ok - I actually can understand why the complaining doesn't stop. But this isn't a psychology topic.

    should we start documenting these folks who are the local profiteers / gypsies? i suppose it could be helpful for those in commerce (like me) who sometimes look to buy them as retail pcs and dont mind handing over some cheese for their hustle. but on the other hand, itd make straight comedy putting them out on front street.

    I got mine for free. I just gave it away to someone who's been a very kind friend and she's a brewers collector. The gold ball was a method for the brewers to reach those who didn't renew yet to get back on board. These were going for common price for a while on eBay so I just forgot about it. Regardless. It's an unusual pc I suppose.

    I was actually paranoid enough to buy a game ticket just to walk into the team store and then leave to go find dad on fathers day. I did notice 45m before the game that ppl were picking those boxes. Freaks me out for the last 4 bc I wont always be able to get to the team store for BOTM release and now everyone knows its a scarce item. Sept is Hank the Dog. Oct is the Quintet pc. Bobblehead gypsy. I like that term. I try to do the math and figure out how much they actually earn. Seems like a lot of effort for a little return?

    maybe folks who like motorcycle rides. also loved that concept. a few of the pcs coming up will likely have the demand as this one. (hank the dog FC)

    Madgrad. I think I'm in a position like you where I'd seek the SGA of whats coming up this season. My simple strategy was to load up on 2013 for forward considerations and then finding someone who may have extras of 2014 who wants to trade backwards. Sadly, I think this strategy was faulty (for a few reasons obvious now that I didnt realize before). However I think most have learned that if you wait a few months the current season SGA are easy pickens at various events down the road, offseason / next season. Nice ones can be had for $5. This led me to pass on buying the Sunday Plus pkg for 2014. Even with the knowledge of the Segura exclusive would make the purchase worthwhile. (actually now looking at money on tix spent so far in 2014, I shouldve renewed oh well)

    I remember when there actually was lots of discussion on this board. This is just a sad indication of how stale its become. I get it younger guys who once collected have likely liquidated the toys and start becoming adults / raising families.

    i'd imagine they saved a few bucks rather than going for realism. fair enough these promotions are rather expensive whoever funds these the sponsors or the brewers team.

    I think SSH had a deadline for segura pickups. I don't know what happens after the deadline. Maybe another means the extras unclaimed are disseminated.

    last 2 seasons among the decades of bobbleheads commemorate kerry wood (20k vs HOU) and greg maddux (3000k milestone).. indeed a moises alou bobbling head after the encounter vs stevie b wouldve been just as appropriate. harry caray wrigley field bobblehead? wait for it, wait for it..

    Obviously there are likely 3-4 folks readers of the bf.net trading post who are likely on the "Bobblehead of the Month" pursuit. I was curious what everyones thoughts were about this idea to buy all seven in the store. My story, I picked up the Brat grilling brats the first day available. Then a month later, the Polish slide chute. And I was told that I would get a "sticker" for every purchase bc of a new promotion incentive. Many ppl also were not given the certificate and sticker last April. Apparently we are all led to believe this will be a 10% off discount off the final BOTM of the set. (which equates to eight or twenty bucks.. effectively an offering 1% off a retail spree of ~$700) Just curious does anyone really believe this? That Brewers retail staffers would outline a detailed effort of certificates, stickers, careful quality control, and managerial oversight for a blip of a savings. Anyone else got the stickers? They ran out of certificates last time i was in. I think there must be more intrigue come sept/oct. Stay tuned.

    curious who went down to wrigley field fri 5/16/14. i made it. and i couldnt believe the hustle of folks trying to swoop in on others (and for less than the cost of a beer) i saw some uwm kids with a haul. obviously a nice amt of brewers fans - many vocal towards the end of the game when the rain let up and the brewers closing the narrow win.

    doubtful the variant game is over. but yeah, by making the releases more ordinary and accessible. this is the satisfaction? i know one of the profiteers who does dubious things to gain his edge. he seemed quite unhappy last sun while trying to squeeze every dollar out of every minute.
