  1. what a letdown for the brewers profiteer potential? after gomez sga selling for unprecedented levels, segura asg ssh hype, and the FC bobble of the month surprise - now just a ho-hum standard giveaway no variants. Bring on the Boyface June 15. (ah but first theres zubazpalooza and stitch / pitch) curious, anyone on the board here going to the brewers game this friday?
  2. this segura report is a lot of fun! thanks turbo.
  3. Maybe the gnome is done? Ask the brewers PR ppl john and cait
  4. seems like the guys with bags of bobbleheads are the same yahoos asking for more bobbleheads on craigslist.. they can net $10 per widget and can sell like 20-30 of these from last april.. theyre rich!! but joking aside i guess the hustle actually paid this time when you consider the last 3 SGA bobbleheads gthomas, hkuenn, boglivie they were giving away 3 for a dollar at last offseason clubhouse sale. i kinda feel like chicken little "the sky is falling" as i dont have tix this yr for bobblehead day but probably no coincidence actual market value per bauble ends up equating to whatever the stubhub price of these games. from what i have observed last few games.
  5. its an action pose not yet seen yet. this surprises me as a "repeat" player, it really leaves the golden cerveceros pc in the dust. theres 40k of these out in the domain - early sellers getting a premium now!!
  6. itd be kinda fun to make a short list of the games where vouchers were passed out.. only one i'm aware is the jason kendall game of the miller park basement flood. we know for sure there was no problem with gorman thomas / ben oglivie / harvey kuenn. i'm sure theyre still selling those dolls 3 for a dollar.
  7. another production run? if 30000+ wasnt enough, imagine there might be a few more available on the back end.
  8. TR. I read your trade list every time it gets bumped. Like you I have almost everything I seek w plenty of extras only I am far less organized. I am aware you were lucky enough to send a friend to this game, similar for me. (You may not remember but we did have a trade framed time ago and then backed off. Things change and perhaps I'll seek something that's on your list. And of course well live it's bobblehead.) About the BOTM set. How does anyone know the final five costs $200? I'm sure the box will be a mammoth like we haven't seen yet.
  9. hey turbo. have you done the calculation on how much the set will cost retail? ~$600, hard core bobble collecting no longer for the casual anymore!! sorry still hadnt gotten back to you about the maryvale 2013 braun..

  11. Hey bikeage. I'm interested in a magnet w a crease. I'll send you PM
  12. hey turbo. i'll be in touch!
  13. if anyone is looking for the ryan braun bobblehead (2013 spring training pc from maryvale), i've got it to trade.
  14. maryvale exclusive 2015 ???
  15. http://mlb.com/mil/images/schedule/y2014/im_bobblelohse_180x150.jpg http://mlb.com/mil/images/schedule/y2014/im_bobblevintage_180x150.jpg
  16. you guys ever do the game exchange? last yr i bought the 20 pack and exchanged many games out for the dates given to me. i think for a $1 fee and you are restricted i think to weeknight games. but at least they are working w the fans w their huge inventory of seats.
  17. What might be a fun corollary is how many MLB teams have spun off to create racing mascots since the Brewers started this. Heres what I was able to find. MIL: Racing Sausages (1991) PIT: Racing Pierogis (1999) WAS: Racing Presidents (2006) KC: Hot Dog Condiments (2007) CLE: Hot Dog Condiments (2007) AZ: Racing Legends (2010) TEX: Racing Historical Legends (2011) Corporate Spinoffs: TB: Pepsi (2007) ATL: Home Depot (2009) HOU: Taco Bell (2010) MIN: The Race to Target Field (2012) SOURCE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mascot_race ps - Some might be familiar with the racing squirrel which San Diego Padres brought in last season. I cant imagine this kind of race ever gets stale. The guy is a track athlete from upstate NY who was a staffer at Lake Elsinore where this promo debuted 2012.
  18. i could imagine scenarios where all 3 of the players could become the winner of a fan vote. my initial guess was that henderson would run away with this, but indeed youd have to think that garza would be installed as an early favorite. i was kinda hoping for more choices and unconventional choices (like coaches, notable fans, brewers staffers, etc)
  19. Numbers wise I'm guessing these will be more plentiful than a variant. You are right. Anyone's guess what the price point can be considering this is an unprecedented way to distribute a bobblehead in Milwaukee. But chasing stuff like this in the past, STH giveaways can become easy to find acquisitions. But that's what's fun about this hobby I find I'm more often wrong than right. I hadn't renewed my 20 pack for 2014 yet. I'm thinking if I was to talk to the rep, he might have that incentive available (segura asg bobble) yet if I renew.
  20. @turbo. ive been trying for years to get my hands on the heritage brewers game-used jerseys for years. finally had my first peek at them at the brewers ondeck bc we were among the earlies. and for cerveceros $50 / $75 at the jersey pull vs $250 in the team store, thats awesome price. and i wear them, more obscure the better. in other news, you might check out the exhibitor tables if you ever get a chance. i noticed opening day schedule magnets, earliest one was 1999 and i was casually going thru the tables. i think they go for $1 and didnt know it was on your "want" list until after ondeck. certainly can be found again, those exhibitors appear monthly as they say.
  21. i got my hands on the izturis cerveceros (sz 46) and another coach (sz 52) in the jersey pull.. its a mystery to me how and what they decide to make available. i guess i was lucky to get to the jersey pull quick in the charity corner. i'd trade either for another jersey game issue like that of the "birrai" or "piwowarzy" that would fit me (sz 48).
  22. so i had to take a look. i suppose if anyone wants to dig two bills deep, theres this. (yes total no brainer) (somehow at miller park last yr i feel like i've paid more for less) Little Monsters Zone Package The LITTLE MONSTER ZONE PACKAGE includes: One general admission standing floor ticket, Early Entry for General Admission floor standing area, Exclusive Lady Gaga merchandise item, Collectible Lady Gaga laminate to remember your evening, and Onsite check-in staff From US $230.00
  23. i'm not ashamed to say i'd like to see this concert! but you might have better shot with the little monsters.
  24. to reiterate, i never understood why anyone took exception to kent meyer selling kent meyer bobbleheads. re-reading those old posts - i suppose the suspicion was "shill bidding" which of course remains a mystery. the most inaccurate information i think i found is: ----------- turborickey Iceman Bobblehead Posted: August 31, 2011, 1:08 PM I don't think I feel like I have to have this one... Between this one and the home run call Braun, I can do without...
  25. It's the 2nd yount in 74 uniform. So now the kid will have an action pose. Whatever. He's Mr Brewer and I think we get more SGA than most MLB teams. Every yr I would want to look out for the vintage pc (the boy face to me feels more novelty) Let's try to enjoy our embarrassment of riches in a positive way. But I'll tell you that is not easy to do. I felt that the list for 2014 was rather predictable and doesn't capture the imagination. But at the end of the day we are dudes who collect dolls and another dozen this yr at that. What should we really expect.
