  1. living near spring training, i got a 2011 team signed ball. one of the most miserable ventures being persistent to bother ppl who dont believe in small favors. and yes i was quite surprised to get carlos gomez what a nice straight line he put on it vs all the other ppl who drew squigglies. surprised that it was yovani gallardo drew the prettiest nice auto. axford also takes pride. so lucky for you, or hopefully for you, you got an official hologram id w some sort of MLB authenticity (or perhaps a letter from the brewers) if you intend to sell it. if you were ever curious of value of "luxury collectibles". you should probably research what folks actually pay than ask for speculation on a board and not appreciate the input. heres a start buddy. good luck to you!!! http://brewers.auction.mlb.com/
  2. Pretty much sums it up.. Collecting is not fun anymore? Bobblehead SGA go away ??
  3. Six hundred ninety nine dollars
  4. Wish I would've thought to look here to buy. We ended up looking v last min and got punished
  5. its about time eddie sedar gets some recognition. geez.
  6. So instead of the vuvuzelas, noticable new trend at MLB games or at least the ones I'd seen on TV @Pit & @Cin, theres a HOWL around the infield that seems to get picked up by the microphones. Uecker made a mention or explanation that there was elderly ppl sitting beneath the press box who were uncomfortable in their seats / disposition. ps - I wasnt able to watch any of the WAS series. pps - Did someone else start a thread with this mention?
  7. they gave charles barkley a slap on the wrist. considering gracie is a repeat offense, i dont think there is much help for an aristocrat!!! prob attending fewer az cards games this mlb offseason for sure.
  8. i'd contacted a member of the brewers front office (someone whos helped me before with giveaway snafu & likely the program manager for brewer sga).. he'd said there will be only one style of uecker. i'm going to have to believe that!
  9. seems there are multiple ways to get into the club level. i'm going to call up the brewers tomorrow and hopefully find out some info on this!
  10. i'd heard that players are quite aware of their "regulars" who follow them all over the country on the team hotel circuit for their autos. this whole thing makes ZERO sense to me how signed merchandise has perceived value. then again, i collect bobble dolls.
  11. i LOVED reading the thread of the usual suspects who walked up to the ladies of stitch and pitch and they outright refused to give up their toys!! i think the 2010 attendees might have been offered $5. and geez check that out - some have learned fast of the value of our fad. i'd actually spent a bit of time mulling around the booths stitch pitch 2012 and talked to the blue hairs. esp around the "learn how to stitch" area. obviously the ladies are very passionate / similar like the feelings in our community. already looking fwd to 2013. and maybe i'll stitch.
  12. if sushi wanted to make the version of braun maryvale speech, i'd have to seriously consider buying it. audio or non-audio. like a hallmark moment tracking spring training this year! all of us az cheesers were totally obsessed. there are so many brewers bobble concepts to dream of which the marketing dept wont create - even w their annual release of a whopping 7 per year. reluctant right now to spill any seeds of my ideas.
  13. being a 3y season tix holder w the AZ DBacks, they sell phx residents on coming out to the ballpark for the possibility of doing an activity in a AC climate controlled environment. i think if the brewers ever tried to pull that off and closed the roof and pumped in AC on a hot summer day, youd see more folks complain theyd rather be outside!! possible solution for anyone who doesnt like the swelter, the shade on the 1B side of the field is better than being in the sun. also, i guess theres also the possibility of "hanging out" in the team store which is definitely AC.
  14. this is great intel. THANKS for sharing!!
  15. i'm sure that if someone got a sniff, an FC invoice could be put together.
  16. anyone think that was COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE during the onfield delay how the party music was pumping (I like to move it) and folks on jumbotron were dancing while this man was fighting for his life? oh well, i guess thats part of the learning curve for the current staff of miller park whos involved with game-time production. i'm sure someone has written a letter to the stadium.
  17. anyone remember reading the descriptions of what you could get on ebay if you wanted to "buy a friend".. ppl have sold "information" in the past, like ticketmaster presale passwords.. SGA lists seem very egregious.
  18. i know those super rare 100 came with a cert of authenticity!
  19. Hi. I was just thinking, what are the most hard to find, most coveted bobbleheads by Brewers collectors. Below is my list. For conversation... Did I miss something? Would you change the order? 1. Mark Attanasio 2. Kent "Iceman" Meyer 2011 3. Ryan Braun 2009 (audio working) 4. Bernie Brewer 2004 (birthday standing) 5. Robin Yount AGP 6. Hank Aaron AGP 7. Bill Hall 2006 (track suit) 8. Mr 3000 AGP Promo 9. Paul Molitor 2003 (powder blue) 10. Bernie Brewer 2010 (stitch pitch)
  20. so far this team building exercise has worked out pretty well. brewers have not won a game since this happened.
  21. this hobby is so unpredictable. and regardless if AOKI is the better left-handed center/corner OF, he'll be forever celebrated for that game-winning RBI in the NLDS. i am planning on buying 2 of these T-pose bobbles. EDIT: unpredictable, its going to be a true guess whether the value of the variant will increase or decrease over time. conventional wisdom would say decrease. my guess is that itll increase. with my luck and poor instincts, its safe to guess the opposite of whatever i predict.
  22. bill hall track suit up for grabs $200+, ends tues. i'm sure a most curious BF-ers already clicked "see other items" by that novice seller.
  23. all of us who have put in a great deal of effort to collect the impeccable complete set of sports memorabelia, its a true challenge / heartbreak to find someone who might put a significant value on the entire oeuvre and buy the collection. i'd seen on a blue moon ppl post fantastic sets on ebay to paltry response. (pepsi ones, etc) i'd consider trying to broadcast in other ways than to peer collectors. i'd read the jeffrey loria (owner of the mia marlins) at one point was interested in buying the SFG equipment managers collection for a great lump sum. not that many of us have too many multi-millionaire / billionaire folks on our speed dial
  24. i chatted w the iceman at spring training early march. he was just mentioning that his niece sold hers for about $400 and a collector had mentioned to him that these might eventually be worth $1000 each. the beer vendor is certainly aware that these are valuable memorabilia - his vanity bobble. really cool piece!! i wish i wouldve known about the auction, doubt i wouldve been in the top 3 bidders though.
