Good to hear. I love Kendall and all but Rivera raked to well to be buried on the bench like he was last season. Hopefully Macha won't be afraid to PH Rivera sometimes too.

The void Trenni has left will take years to fill So is Telly Hughes even gunna be at games? Whenever I've seen he's been in Minneapolis where I assume the FSN-North studios are.

I agree with Schilling, they should release names of all 104 players who test positive. Not fair to the clean players.

Well, at least we got somebody. Like it better than Gagne signing last year but I'm still a bit skeptical. Now we can put one of Seth or CV in the rotation. I'd feel alot better about this team if we got another starter tho.

    Baseball is a farce.

I'd rather go into the season bare bones with what we have then spend 10 mil on a Randy Wolf/Jeff Suppan or with some overpaid scrub/washed up closer. Maybe we'll be mediocre but at least we won't be mediocre and overpaid. We got CC in the middle of the season last year so if we're competing by that time make a trade then.

Way it's looking, we may need Cappy next year. Glad to have him back though. Deserves another chance.
  8. Mr QL
hip hip hooray! *disaster averted* ' just keep Cam and let him walk next year

I'm going edit this because I feel some mod may feel this is "condescending". I'm just really disappointed in this trade and feel it's a sign we're not going to try to compete next season.

Is Melky beating out TGJ even a guarantee?
  11. Mr QL
Looks like we're heading back to the cellar pretty fast. I would hope we could get more than Melky Cabrera(who sucks) for Mike Cameron(who doesn't suck).

don't stop believing what's the difference between 110 and 120 million anyways if we're really all in and offering a contract like that may as well try to win this bidding war

I don't want anything to do with KRod or Fuentes. It'll just be a huge mistake. Don't do it.
  14. Mr QL
No. I don't think he could. Maybe they could move him to RF tho.
  15. Mr QL
Lesnar dang near murdered the guy
  16. Mr QL
I don't want anything to do with Hoffman. Gagne Part Deux. Money should be spent elsewhere.
  17. Mr QL
That's too bad. I liked Torres, saved us from the true horror of Eric Gagne. Makes Brian Shouse a must sign now tho. 8 year contract.
  18. Mr QL
There is an agreement for him to stay away from the team until we can trade him I believe.

I was talking with somebody about the Knicks and where they should trade Eddy Curry. Guy jokingly brings up the Bucks but it got me thinking. Dan Gadzuric and Damon Jones for Eddy Curry? He'd be an expensive backup but would be better than what we got by alot. Don't know what Skiles would think about it though.

Macha really does make me sick. I haven't heard one good thing about him. They should of just kept Sveum if these were the other choices. Maybe we shouldn't of extended Melvin afterall.
  21. Mr QL
Yea, this a cool idea. I don't know how possible it is but I'd be all for it.
  22. Mr QL
Is Macha that great of a manager that he makes up for his personality and disconnect with the players? I think I'm going to root for Brenly. At least with him Sveum and Yount might stay aboard.
  23. Mr QL
I don't think they should. Just seems lame to me. Plus it'll look pretty silly and insignificant next to the division and World Series banners we'll be hanging in coming years. ;-) But yea, I think they'll do something of the sort. Guess I'll have to cringe through it.
  24. Mr QL
I really hope it isn't Macha. The guy just sounds horrible. He's getting trashed by his own players when they're winning 90 or so games.
  25. Mr QL
So, ugh, who should I be rooting for between Macha and Brenly?
