  1. 2-run double by Clark! 6-4 D'Backs!
  2. Chris Young with a 2-run HR, D'Backs up 2-0.
  3. CUBS LOSE!! Back alone in first!
  4. 10-5 Pirates on a groundout. What are the odds that both games end up with a 10-5 score?
  5. Double by Castillo! 9-5 Pirates! Still 2nd and 3rd, no one out.
  6. Pirates have 1st and 3rd, no one out in the 8th. Tack on some insurance, Bucs! ETA: Now bases loaded. Wood has walked two in the inning.
  7. Don't know where JP got that info. I'm listening to the radio broadcast. It's still 7-5 going into the bottom of the 8th.
  8. Sanchez hits a bases loaded triple and gets thrown out at home trying for the inside the park HR. Pirates 6, Cubs 2!
  9. D'Backs hold to win 9-8. Cards fall to 2.0 back.

  11. With ESPN picking up the Friday night game vs. Atlanta, and FOX picking up the Saturday game, that's two games FSN can drop and hopefully use to pick up those two untelevised Sunday games.
  12. Another detriment for the Cards is because of rainouts, their last off day was August 27th. With a doubleheader next weekend, that's 35 games in 34 days. In addition, after their series in Arizona this weekend, they have to stop in Chicago for one game, then go to Cincinnati. In the final week, after their series with Milwaukee, they have to go to New York for one game, then go to Pittsburgh. That's a lot of travel with very little time off. Hopefully, they'll be worn out by the end of the season.
  13. 3 runs on 1 hit, that's the Davis I remember.
  14. Anyone know if the 9 game plans are getting these as well? I know we only get two playoff games, so I'm wondering if they'll wait until after the deadline for the full and 20 plans to respond before sending anything out to us.

    Psych

I don't know if anyone else watches Psych, but it's quickly become one of my favorite shows. It's about a guy, Shawn, who has a great attention to detail and a photographic memory, and uses those skills to pretend to be a psychic and consult with the local police on cases. His semi-nerdy best friend from childhood, Gus, assists him. The show is hilarious, with tons of pop culture references thrown in, and last night's episode had one I loved: Shawn has hung up pictures of Crockett and Tubbs from Miami Vice in their office. Gus: "Why couldn't I be Crockett?" Shawn: "Because Gus, you stood in front of the entire third grade class and said, 'When I grow up, I want to be Philip Michael Thomas.'" Gus: "Well you said you wanted to be the mascot for the Milwaukee Brewers." Shawn: "Dude, he's the biggest sausage in the world." Yeah, I know Bernie is the mascot and not the sausages, and the sausage race didn't exist when they would have been in third grade, but I still loved the line.
  16. Man, what is going on with Hawpe tonight? Almost drops an easy fly ball earlier, and actually drops one now.
  17. This is a map of the MLB TV territories. Anywhere a MIL appears is Brewers territory, and thus blacked out of the ESPN game. I agree that it's ridiculous. Look at Iowa, the Cubs, White Sox, Twins, Brewers, Royals, and Cardinals all claim it. For someone with Extra Innings in Iowa, that's up to six games a night blacked out. MLB really needs to rework this so only people who can actually get the game locally are blacked out.
  18. We've seen this game way too many times already this season. Brewers jump out to a big lead early, offense shuts down completely, and our opponents slowly climb back into it.
  19. Brewers August Schedule ESPN's MLB TV Listings MLB.com National Broadcasts Page
  20. CUBS LOSE!
  21. Why not just leave Shouse in with Dunn due up second?
  22. Gallardo doesn't have the greatest control tonight. 3 BBs already, and one to the pitcher.
