    CONGRATS VERLANDER! I second this, as much as i hate it, the pitcher and the defense were amazing. What's sad regarding the comments that Yost will inevitably make in the post-game conference is that I'll totally buy it.

    I agree, enough is enough. If Counsell or Graffy fill in for someone for a night, it's one thing, but that's Counsell OR Graffy. Having one of them at third and another filling in somewhere else, then sticking them at the bottom of the lineup with the pitcher basically makes 1/3 of the lineup utterly useless.

    Yeah, pretty sure my heart stopped beating the moment i saw how short the fly ball was, and didn't start again until Hardy jumped up and pumped his fist. I like tough catchers that throw their body around, but when it's the home run leading shortstop it freaks me out a little
