  1. JJ and Prince hitting this inning. We have a shot to score.
  2. You cant have your pitcher screw up a bases loaded, none out rally. For those who disagree, Im sorry, but its the truth. You tell Bush to stand up there with the bat, take your strikeout, and have the top of the order come up in that situation. That's just another horrible in-game baseball decision by one of the poorer in-game managers in baseball right now.
  3. All Dave Bush had to do was stand up there and strike out looking. You cant have your pitcher screw up a bases-loaded, none out rally. Ned Yost should be fired for that play alone.
  4. The Brewers simply cannot screw this inning up if they want to win this game.
  5. Why cant Billy do that EVERY TIME he is up at the plate?
  6. What makes NEd think this guy is 5 hole hitter? He's a "gritty, scrappy" catcher that reminds Ned of someone a few years ago.
  7. Estrada, 2007: .270/.290/.444, 733 OPS Brewers catchers, 2006: .245/.307/.389, 696 OPS This plus the fact that Estrada cant throw out a turtle trying to steal a base. Not much better, if you ask me.
  8. I'm sure glad we went out and got a catcher who can hit. Oh, wait...
  9. Seriously...how pathetic would this offense be without JJ hitting like he is? I wish Bill Hall would sit down and take a serious look at how JJ approaches an at-bat...but now that Billy got his big money, I dont think he's so eager to do that.
  10. The fact that Corey Hart is trying to bunt for a base hit in a tie game in the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs shows just how clueless this offense is right now.
  11. I don't know why Villy wouldn't be our next option for the rotation. He was good last year, has been good in the pen, he's earned a chance. With Turnbow becoming more and more untrustworthy in the pen, I think its more likely that Villy will fill perhaps and 8th-inning set-up role. He's become a key member of the pen, and with other options there for the rotation (Gallardo) it would be silly to mess with that now.
  12. I' m starting to believe in the magnet schedule curse...I had a bad feeling when I saw Bill Hall on it this year I think its more like "I got my $22 million contract, so I can relax" curse.
  13. Do you think people might actually come to the realization that this team is in trouble, now that other than one Prince swing we have been pretty much dominated by Wes Obermueller tonight?
  14. This team simply cant manufacture runs. Its that simple. If JJ or Prince aren't driving them in, this team doesnt score. Period.
  15. Yeah, that Brad Penny isnt a very good pitcher at all. There goes the best scoring chance of the night, folks.
  16. Germano is not a very good pitcher, that is a very winnable game. You are using the wrong tools to evaluate talent if you are impressed with his season thus far. Im sure he's not .74 WHIP good, but the guy has only allowed 1 earned run in 19 innings. What does it take in your mind to be a "good pitcher"? Apparently for you, if he doesnt rack up huge K numbers, he sucks.
  17. If the Brewers want a chance to win this game, they need to cash in these two baserunners this inning with the top of the order.
  18. Crew is gonna have a hard time winning 1 in SD, much less 2. Maddux might be beatable, but Germano and Peavy have been darn near unhittable so far this year.
  19. Again this is a case where ERA doesn't tell the story. He has not pitched anywhere near his ERA this season. Other than his last start, every one of his starts this season has been a quality start. How is that "not pitching anywhere near his ERA?" Id take performances like his any day of the week.
  20. But don't say the Crew can't score 4 runs in 8 innings. They only scored 2 off Randy Wolf. Doubt their getting 4 off Penny.
  21. Oh please, Penny is not all that good, other than the one start with 14 K's he's walked as many as he's struck out. One of those cases where ERA doesn't tell the whole story. I don't think we'll win with this lineup but to say we won't win because its Penny is stretching things. That 14 K game was two starts ago. Throw out the dud vs the Angels last time out, and he has allowed only 8 earned runs in 51.2 innings. Its over.
  22. Ryan Braun might be the least of our problems. Of late, our rotation is quickly turning into very hittable. Capuano hammered of late, Vargas inconsistent at best... Put Yovanni Gallardo on the same [plane as Ryan.
  23. Game over. If you think were scoring 3 runs off Penny, youre nuts. Its safe to say Capuano has reverted back to the second half of 2006 form...and we all remember how good that was. Well, on to San Diego. I guess one out of 3 here aint horrible.
  24. Man, Graffanino is making a great case for the team to get rid of him right now. Hey, take it easy...a three or four hit night tonight might get him to .200 for the season. The fact that we have to have this clown at third base is a joke.
