  1. Call P90X a fad all you want, but it's a fad that works because the workouts are solid. When I started it approx. 3 years ago I could do about 8 good pullups. I can now easily do sets of 20-25 and have hit 30 at times.
  2. I lost my pinky fingernail after smashing it in between to 45lb. weightlifting plates. It turned good and black, fell off, and eventually grew back. It looks a little different these days, but it's fine now. Though it did take quite a bit of time to grow back. Take some pictures. I wanna see that thing!
  3. Bernie, good luck with Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. You're a better man than I if you can get through it. It is literally Pride & Prejudice with a touch of zombies. It reminded me too much of 10th grade English when I was forced to read the original. I will say also that I loved both Max Brooks books and keep them at my desk at work at all times. If you're looking for something similar to World War Z and are willing to read a comic book to get it - I'd suggest The Walking Dead written by Robert Kirkman. It's excellent. I just picked up the compendium (Books:1-48) for my brother for Christmas. Got it on Amazon for under $40. I just recently finished Robert Novak's memoir "Prince of Darkness: Fifty Years of Reporting in Washington" which was fantastic. If you're even remotely interested in politics I highly reccommend it. Right now I'm reading "Rant" by Chuck Palahniuk. It's a bit more lighthearted than his other stuff, but still disgusting to a degree. I always enjoy his books as he has one of the most sickly imaginitive minds of any author out there.
  4. No accumulation here in Shorewood. NONE! What a nutty storm.
  5. I know exactly what you're referring to, but I have no idea what it is called. I want to say that I've seen those being sold at Cracker Barrell restaurants. http://www.crackerbarrel.com/browse-retailstore.cfm?doc_id=278#5 Ha I was right. I see it right there on the page in the picture. I'd give your local CB a call and see if they have them in stock. Good luck.
  6. I second The XX album. It is one of the best debut albums I've ever heard.
  7. About 3 weeks ago my dad and I were eating at the Original Pancake House on the eastside of Milwaukee. We were just chatting when out of the corner of my eye I spotted a guy that looked an awful lot like Yovanni Gallardo. At first I wasn't sure as his back was to me, but the Ed Hardy t-shirt he was wearing was a dead giveaway. He was eating with his family so I let him be, but as he was paying his bill I decided to say hello to him. Nice dude. Quick hello and goodbye. I was shocked that no one else in the restaurant even gave him a second look. Funny too as there were several college kids sitting no more than 30 ft. away from him all decked out in Brewers gear.
  8. I just started my 4th round of the program yesterday and I love it. 30 days into my first round I cancelled my gym membership and have been working out from home ever since. It was a good decision as I'm in the best shape of my life. Some points about the program: 1. As was said above it's extremely structured so after working out on my own for 8 years it's nice having someone tell me what to do. 2. I love the emphasis on back and abs. It may be a lot at first, but your body adjusts to the workouts. When I first started I was able to do maybe 8 good pull-ups and I can now do a set of 25. Same goes for the abs. I wasn't able to complete the ab ripper disc...but...well to be honest it's still ridiculously difficult. 3. Plyometrics (jump training) makes me nauseous, but in a good way. Every time I finish plyo I literally say "That was the hardest workout of my life." 4. If you're in bad shape right now this will kill you...no really it might. I recommend this program to everybody who is in at least average shape. If you aren't it'll probably sit on your dvd player collecting dust. That's how I got mine. That's all I got.
  9. It's playing at Mayfair now. RAM JAM RAM JAM!!! Great movie.
  10. I'm pretty sure it opens everywhere next weekend.
  11. How bout a flippin Higuera bobblehead already?
  12. Nevermind. Only yes no questions.
  13. I literally gasped.
  14. Absolutely disgusting. Can someone explain why we only get a 2nd rounder now for Sabathia? Thanks.
  15. Jeff Cirillo! He'll be a Brewer forever and he's got really good hair.
  16. Dream Recorder!!!!!!! http://www.telegraph.co.u...-that-can-map-dreams.html
  17. Shower Suit...for those days you don't ever want to get out of the shower.
  18. Listen to the album Angel Dust and get back to me.
  19. Well I got to almost 2 years without any sort of problem, but my Xbox finally took a crap today. While playing some Rockband my screen turned a hazy shade of green. I reset and all seemed fine, but 2 minutes later it was green again. So I reset the machine one last time and....nothin. Black screen. I can hear audio, but there's no pictures whatsoever. From looking around on the net it looks like a problem that a lot of people are running into right now. http://en.wikipedia.org/w...al_problems#Video_failure The worst part of it is that since I'm not getting the red ring it is not covered by the new warranty from xbox. I got on customer service and they told me it would cost $99 to send it in and fix it. I'm thinking of just getting an Arcade version for $200. At least then I'll get a new system and a controller. Anyone know if I can transfer my hard drive over to the arcade version? I really don't want to buy another one of these things, but about 45 minutes before it pooped out on me I pre-ordered Fallout 3. Unreal.
  20. I sure love Bret Easton Ellis and his sick mind.
  21. I'm with Homer all 3 of those choices are excellent. Though I'd say Lake Park Bistro is probably my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee. You can't really go wrong with a Bartalotta place. I've never had a bad experience. Hey Homer have you been to Hinterland in the Third Ward? I went recently and had maybe the best dining experience I've had in Milwaukee. Great service, excellent food and they make their own beer. Their menu is everchanging, but the options are always really intriguing. http://www.hinterlandbeer...restaurantmilwaukee.shtml
  22. Lake Michigan on a 95 degree day. It's truly unreal sometimes.
  23. I've done it! It's tough to put into words...but I'll give it a shot. Your brain will scream at you when that door opens. It's a crazy feeling to tell it (your head) to shut the hell up and jump anyways. The freefall is ridiculously cold. It will take forever for your instructor to pull the cord even though in reality it's only 60 seconds or so. When the canopy opens you'll feel the sweetest relief of your life. I loved that part about as much as the actual jump. Enjoy those few minutes as you return to the ground as it's about the quietest you'll ever hear the world. I loved it. I did however, have about a 3 week case of vertigo (mild) aftewards. I'm pretty sure my equilibrium was messed up after the jump. Have fun and make sure you get it filmed. It's worth it.
  24. I graduated in 2004 and the year before that they had renovated the Williams Center and put in an awesome indoor track and weight room. I think I used to pay $90 for a sememster's use of the facilities. I pay $90 a month now for my wife and me at the WAC.
  25. We just got an estimate back from the Sears Automotive that's located by the Bayshore Mall and they gave us an estimate of $290 for parts and labor on the starter. I'll let ya know if it's a good experience or not.
