  1. What am i missing here? Davies has an era of almost 5 and makes 6 million more than Anderson. Sure Davies has pitched more innings but part of that is also our 6 man rotation. And Davies has been bad in the those extra innings. And I don't think our defense would be better with Grisham instead of Cain or JBJ. I know Grisham won a gold glove and maybe metrics do say he is better but those two are so good.
  2. If he can limit the walks to one every other inning I will feel much more comfortable. Still too many free passes but everything else is falling into place
  3. I know Castillo has a great change but it is so hard for me to believe it is better than Williams. And I love Woodruff but Burnes is better than him
  4. In 2019 we were much better against quintana. He was 3-2 but had a 5.81 era and a whip over 1.4. our team ops was over .800
  5. The Reds slowing down over the last 20 games (just 10-10) can partly be attributed to Joey Votto slowing way down. Over the last 15 games his ops is under . 700 (just .684)
  6. They started the month 6-1. Have been 10-10 since. Not that great Yep. Then factoring in who they've been playing, it's been a bad last 3 weeks for the Reds. They have played well enough to overtake the free falling Padres so it has been good enough. But yeah they could easily be with 4 or 5 of the crew but they didn't take care of business.
  7. Thanks for posting. It does appear that the Reds are going to backslide into the playoffs because the Padres are somehow performing even poorer than the Reds are. The Reds had a favorable schedule and did little with it. By my count they have been 16-11 in August for a .593 winning percentage. So they are doing fine. Its just not a rate that will get them the division. They started the month 6-1. Have been 10-10 since. Not that great
  8. Thanks for posting. It does appear that the Reds are going to backslide into the playoffs because the Padres are somehow performing even poorer than the Reds are. The Reds had a favorable schedule and did little with it. The Reds have a couple sweeps that have bumped up their record but as I have posted before their starting pitching and bullpen have just been too erratic for a sustained winning streak. They are overly dependant on their lineup
  9. Devin Williams has been unreal in July and August. He is looking like the last year version. It is unreal. He isn't walking guys anymore either
  10. The reds are 2 and 4 in their last 6 series - losing to the cubs marlins Brewers and braves. They also kicked off this stretch losing a one game series to Cleveland but I didn't count that
  11. Norris had had 4 scoreless appearances (5 innings) in a row. Trending in the right direction. True. He is still walking too many guys to make me feel comfortable but it has been better
  12. Happy to hear we’re starting to win the trade again. A month ago there was talk that Brinson might be the better player going forward. Brinson flashed for a few weeks but has been brutal again. He has the tools but just can't seem to put it together.
