  1. Jim Powell was saying on the radio that Inman doesnt have the secondary stuff that Gallardo has. Not sure if the guys hear would agree with that but Powell said it as though it wasnt really that close. He said Inman was viewed as a number 4 guy.
  2. i have the same feeling i did last year when we traded carlos lee. didnt feel like we got enough and wondered why we had to give up cruz as well. i trust melvin but that doesnt mean i am not confused
  3. If we dont trade a reliever away this could open the door for villanueva to take some starts to keep gallardo's innings down. other than that i have a little trouble seeing why to trade inman and garrison who has been pitching well lately along with thatcher for linebrink
  4. jj must have a little more speed than i give him credit for. He seems to be pretty patient lately and is hitting a couple more balls the other way think today will be the only day i am mad fox picked up a brewer game. i am in south carolina and since they are playing the cubs i thought it would be on wgn, but no. instead i am watching philly and the mets
  5. how did hardy get a triple? i dont think of him as being fast...did it just bounce around a lot?
  6. The wgn gun has him at 90-92 mph, but the cubs batters seem way behind his stuff
  7. I would guess hill gets one more inning unless his spot in the order comes up this inning, then they would probably pinch hit him. i would guess we get 6 innings of their bullpen which will be nice. hopefully yo can go 7 or so for our bullpen to be well rested
  8. it is great to see hardy drawing walks more frequently lately. nice to get runners for braun, prince and hall
  9. thanks for the recap. i knew estrada was slow but i thought there had to be a better reason.
  10. i am watching the gameday. could someone tell me how did estrada not score from second on a double by jenkins?
  11. Inman is having a rough outing - 6 runs through 2 innings. Should we be worried since this is his second rough start or is this normal for pitchers jumping from A to AA. I know it is a small sample size but is this struggle somewhat expected?
  12. I loved to see hardy going the other way for the double and i really liked seeing him walk in the first. I feel that he may not hit in the .320 like early in the year but he will start to draw more walks. Good start for him today. He must have read the post earlier about him slumping
  13. Carson Park in Eau Claire is a pretty nice field in my mind. it isnt great but it does have the "Hank Aaron played here" factor going for it. I remember it being a big deal getting to play there in high school' I like going there more than the dome. I hope to get to a couple more of Eau Claire's games this year especially if Zimmerman is there. I was just wondering how long he was going to be there since he will most likely get drafted fairly high.
  14. i thought gameday was lying to me...cappy is having an amazing night
  15. Cappy could have 7 in him if he can keep his pitch count low like that inning. Would be nice to get some runners on this inning
  16. Cole Gillespie is a really good prospect. The catcher's name is Angel Salome. Escober the shortstop is pretty decent from what i know, but a lot of the other guys would know more. Chris Errecart is a good prospect as well.
  17. Ford already has 4 homeruns this year. gwynns highest total in any year was 4 and that was last year. They seem to compare well to each other but Fords power numbers are a little better and he is faster from what i hear. i am no minor league expert and i am pretty new to the forum, but one of the guys in the minors that intrigues me is Ford because of his speed and his cut down on his strikeouts.
