How good has Odorizzi been that two runs in 4 innings is a rough outing? I know it is not great start so far for him but his 7 k's over those 4 innings make things a little better. He has been hurt by the walk today.
Rogers has started off pretty nice. No runs and only two walks through 4, although he does only have 2 strike outs. 6 ground out and 2 fly outs. Edit. His final line looks very good. 5 IP, 5 hits, 2 walks, 0 ER, and 4 k's
I think Lucroy's value dips a fair amount if he moves to a different position. He is a plus hitter as a catcher but at a corner OF he would be average at best and he would be below average at 1B due to his lack of power.
I doubt either one gets the call-up late this year unless there is an injury. Lucroy definitely deserves to be in AAA right now. However, Salome does too. If Salome could have stayed healthy last year it would be okay because he would probably be on the Brewers roster. It is early but both guys have OPS over 1.00. I am really thinking one of the guys will be traded but who knows. I also like Garfield as a prospect too. He is really young and is holding his own right now at Wisconsin.
I am impressed with Lucroy. Sometimes when players have to repeat a level after a really good year they struggle to be motivated right off the bat. He is simply dominating AA right now. I would like to see a little more power because I am greedy. I like what we are seeing out of some of the guys from last years draft. Khris Davis, Kentrail Davis (before the injury) and Gennett all have started out strong. Obviously, I am a little concerned with how Arnett has started. I will wait a couple starts to get really worried. edit - Fredrickson gave up a run over two innings, but I like the one walk and 4 k's
The Bucks have made a great comeback, but they left some points on the line, Bibby (who could not shoot all year) made everything, and a couple bad looking shots late in the clock by the Hawks (Crawford a 3, and Johnson at the end) really hurt the comeback attempt. I like Skiles but he had Jennings out for too much of the 4th quarter. He was unstoppable, but did not get back in the flow after the long absence.
What do you mean trade him and get two top picks? Do you mean teams would trade two top prospects for Sheets? That will only happen if he pitches great.
Jonathan Lucroy is destroying AA, although he does not have a lot of extra base hits yet. Lucroy, Gindl and Green all have an OPS over 1.00. Lawrie has not hit much for average but as mentioned he has drawn a lot of walks. That combined with his power has his OPS aroun .900. That is an impressive 2-5
Well I hope Bucci's line so far tonight gets you feeling a little better. 4 IP, only one hit and no walks, no earned runs, one unearned, all that with 5 K's Howell sure got roughed up tonight and he has not missed many bats so far this season. But again it is early so I hope those guys can find a groove.
I am wondering if we have seen the last of her. Obviously she is dead, but with Hilary being able to communicate with the dead and her having some special connection with Jacob I do not think her character is through. I kind of liked her character though. This episode was great. Love seeing the flash-sideways starting to move toward something interesting. Desmond's character is one of my favorites and I thoroughly confused with what is going on. What Michael said is making people think the island is purgatory again, but the writer's said that was not true after season one so I cannot imagine it would be true.
It is true we do not have Braun and Fielder type hitters our young bats have started well. Gindl, Lawrie, Green, Lucroy, Katin, Cain, and Salome have started well. Davis and Gennett are holding their own in their aggressive placements as well.
Another guy to keep an eye on is Katin. I watched him tonight and he looked very patient at the plate. If he can bring his walks up a little and lower his K's he could be a solid late-bloomer. He hits the ball very hard. I was not high on him last year, but tonight (I know small sample size) he looked very good
Just got back from the Nashville game. Here are a few thoughts. Katin looked very good at the plate. Great patience. He did not look like a guy who stuck out 164 times with just 35 walks like he was last year. I was low on him last year because of the K to BB rate he had, but maybe he is figuring things out. Koshansky on the other hand looked lost at the plate. Axford has really good stuff. Estrada looked solid as well. Had the Cubs hitters off-balanced all night. Only one really hard hit ball off him I was disappointed I did not get to see Salome much.
I am heading to the Sounds game against Iowa tonight. The best part of moving to Iowa is that there is a minor league team withing 45 minutes of me now. Hopefully, the Sounds can keep on their winning ways.
He went to the mental institution after going crazy when he saw Charlie at the convenience store. He then went on the car chase, and got put in the mental institution. The thing with Ben and the murders did not land him in the institution. The police found out he did not kill anyone and he got released. That was really close to them returning to island.
Are you certified with a Missouri approved level of class to watch that broadcast?Man do I hope the Brewers win for many reasons, but a big one is to hear them whine about the Brewers untucking their jerseys. They already cried about it during the broadcast.
