Yeah, I have a bad feeling he's on the list. That would really make me sour on the KRod deal. -
Oh, Rickie, please be okay. I can take a DL stint, but anything longer than 3 weeks will seriously hurt this team. Trying to find a 5th hitter now will be difficult with the suckage at the bottom of the order. I hope they call up Green (hoping he's not on the list either).

Perfect example why I hate to see Corey bunt there. Wilson K's and Braun needs to single just to get a leadoff double in.

Like others have said, this guarantees no worse than a 5-6 trip which I would have had no problem taking before it started. Get one of the next two and it'll be a great trip for this team.

This is the thing that bugs me the most. We're in a division that's up for grabs and also in a year in which most believe we've gone all in, yet Melvin has an in house replacement to solve one of the issues on this team and he won't do it. How long is Melvin going to wait to pull the plug on McGehee starting? What else does Green have to do in AAA to get a chance? No one is saying he's going to be a savior, but they won't even give him a chance! Do we have to show up to Miller Park with "Call up Taylor Green" signs? When I heard Gord Ash on postgame a few weeks ago mention that Green was a 'surprise' I knew they weren't seriously considering him, but I don't know how much longer they can afford to wait. I'm not going to give up on Casey, but I want the best players out there and no reason to think Green can't outperform Casey at this point. -
It's nice to see Wolf escape these jams, but could we get a run or four?

Haudricourt has a blog up now that says he thinks the Brewers agreed to not offer arbritration with this move. If that's the case, I feel it is a stupid move. He's not going to accept arby anyway, so get the extra pick(s) and move on. The whole games 'finished' can easily be avoided. It allows us to use him however we want, but I will say that if he gets more save opportunities than Axford (which I don't really believe will happen) it is not a good decision. Axford should be the closer, period.
