I think Uecker said that he had a 5-8 record with an ERA over 5 in his career against the Crew. So much for that today.

There was absolutely no reason to let Yo stay out there. He was over a 100 pitches and struggling with his command. Horrible.

This is exactly what I thought too. The camera turned towards Betancourt and I figured he could make a play and just get the force, but he just stumbled over himself and never got with 5 feet of the ball. That's a ball that Alcides probably gets to with ease and I know he's not close to Escobar defensively, but he just wasn't close at all.

I took a look at the box score today and Betancourt saw 10 pitches in 4 ab's. Kotsay took 9 pitches in the same amount of ab's. How how is it to work the count? Would you rather have those guys behind 0-2 in the count every AB? Red pitchers were throwing strikes. It's as simple as that. So you can't work the count when you're in a 0-2 hole? -
