  1. We became the team with the best record because we had months of solid fundamentals during our winning streaks. Those fundamentals have been missing the past couple weeks
  2. Q looks pretty solid early. Hoping he can keep this up. When he's on, he's really a valuable asset to this club, especially with Miz and Woody struggling
  3. Nope. That rule only applied to Caleb Durbin for God knows what reason. Durbin is red hot in the past 15 games, and we're sitting him of course against a weak righty.
  4. No... we've seen the Brewers go up 5-1, 5-0, 6-0, etc.... and three innings later, we're losing Good teams find a way to get a run in from 3rd with less than 2 outs
  5. I'm good with that. Perkins is a solid player. He will be a key contributor in the playoffs. We need to get him going again. If memory serves right, he was red hot when he first joined the big league club following a rehab earlier in the season.
  6. I have faith, just extremely frustrated that we have players on our roster that have no business being here during a pennant race (Seigler & Bauers) With the return of Ortiz, Seigler is redundant. Get Rhys up here yesterday. Lockridge seemed to come up with some big hits when he was up here. I like Perkins, but he's ice cold. I'd prefer he be a late inning defensive replacement. There are no-cost ways to improve our club, but our manager is too stubborn to use them.
  7. Good grief. I was just about to post that this is the "surrender lineup" Hopefully Q brings the noise tonight
  8. Ironically... "just a body" just got signed... lol
  9. Great post. I withdraw my objection to Jansen being on the team. Its frustrating to watch him thus far, but as you said, when someone only has 40 PA and is very part-time as a player (rarely do you use your backup catcher), probably unfair to expect more. Probably sucks to go from being a starter to a very part-time player, but he seems to have a good attitude & be a good teammate thus far
  10. Time to turn off the game.... when I'm hoping for a double play to get a run in... and we proceed to score zero after loading the bases with no outs, its not our day. Major success taking 2/3 here, but I'm done for the day. Hope we pull it out. This team has the tools, we just have to play to our potential
  11. As weird as it sounds, with how we've sometimes done with the bases loaded and nobody out.... atleast a double play there gets us a run and back to tied... Vaughn will come through here, but I've had flashbacks of bases loaded, no outs, and scoring zero
  12. Let's go baby. HUGE opportunity. Let's get after it. Be the Goldfish!!!! Wow this team is crazy
  13. Me likey... hopefully Vaughn can get it going. He's had some well struck pitches lately, just not a ton to show for it. Hopefully not pressing with the imminent return of Rhys on the horizon.
  14. Yeah, guys, given it a rest. Plenty of other forums to debate politics. I often engage in those debates in other places or with friends, but I'm here to talk baseball :D If we were 30 games under 500, I'd understand the focus being off-topic... Let's get er done today for another sweep and take some mojo into our series with Philly
  15. At playing Euchre? Or was that meant to be in blue? :P Jansen .206/.300/.265/.565 Haase .229/.289/.357/.646
  16. Is it too much to hope that when Ortiz and Hoskins return, we send down Seigler / Bauers 1B: Vaughn/Hoskins 2B: Turang/Mona SS: Ortiz/Mona 3B; Durbin/Mona OF: Collins, Chourio, Frelick, Perkins, Yelich C: Wild Bill / Somebody other than Jansen DH: Yelich/Hoskins Normal Bench: Hoskins Mona Perkins Haase
  17. Is this trade for the Packers the equivalent of the Brewers trading Peralta and Pena/Pratt/Quero for Skenes?
  18. Fair point snap. Last year was really frustrating as a Packers fan, but unfair to blame that on Jacobs who was very solid. 1300 yards, 15 TDs, definitely an impact. I'm not sold on Jordan Love...
  19. McKinney, yes.... but for a bad team. I'm not sold on Jacobs yet. If you gave me a choice of Jacobs or Aaron Jones, i'm taking Jones Hoping this can be the move that gets us a couple playoff wins. As others have said, we have alot of solid players on the Packers, but lack Elite Talent. Parsons easily the best player on our team now.
  20. Two firsts and Kenny Clark
