  1. Yeah, looks like not starting at 1pm will be a mistake. I saw the forecast just took a turn for the worst. Tomorrow looks lousy also. i have tickets for Monday, but now not sure what this smoke will do. Really sucks how much this can disrupt plans
  2. I would prefer that they tell Sanchez that he’s not allowed to challenge ever. Now that Haase is available, I’d actually prefer to get rid of Sanchez and bring back Haase. Actually, maybe we can trade him for something useful, would be addition by subtraction even if the pitcher we got back amounts to nothing. While I got really frustrated watching him, at least Blake Perkins was likable.
  3. Was scheduled for 3:10, but we were speculating at one point that the time might get moved up to 1:10pm due to air quality. thankfully, the air quality projection seems to have improved
  4. I think we should. I actually suggested 4/24 in the game thread earlier. No didn’t realize that he was already Arby 1 this year. If he gets injured, that could burn us, but better than paying $3.5 million for a sub .500 OPS player like Rengifo. at the risk of starting a flame war, I think Mitchell brings more to the table than Vaughn. If I had a choice of spending $7m on Vaughn or Mitchell, that’s an easy choice for me. vaughn has been a nice part-time player for us, but he’s definitely cooled off
  5. Woof! Our front office has verbal amazing for the past decade, but this draft was really a complete miss. kudos for some of the trades we made to atleast get some value goes to show you that draft picks and prospects have potential but are far from a sure thing
  6. Encouraging start to the signing period. Really hoping for Strosnider, Garcia, and Bell
  7. My mistake. Actually kind of a bummer that he’s starting to put it together and we only have 2 more years of control. i wonder if both parties would have interest in something like 4/$24? That could become something like 4/$32 with incentives. He locks in some life changing money, Brewers recoup some of their patience with him.
  8. Don’t all (first three year players) play on a $950k contract? yes, solid contributors who are pre-Arby definitely earn their keep. i’ve been impressed by Mitchell. Nice to have him healthy this year
  9. 🤮 Murphy, what about leaving him there being disrespectful to the other 25 men on the roster. yelich should ask to be moved down in the order. Good guy, but he’s gotta know that he’s hurting the team barring leadoff right now
  10. I love Canada. 🇨🇦 having no rain in North America for large chunks of time sucks
  11. Yeah, given how our pitching was decimated by injuries, Harrison and Drohan have been a godsend. Hamilton is probably JAG, but seems like a good dude. this trade might end up as a win-win
  12. Durbin has a really rough start, but has been on absolute fire the past 6 weeks. i’m really happy with this trade from the Brewers perspective, but still a chance that the best player traded was Durbin
  13. I seem to recall them working to install some A/C upgrades awhile back, but I’m not sure how much outside air needs to be in as part of that process that could impact things. Also, I think stuff like the concourses are open air? I’m not usually looking away from the field, but I think there might be limits to how much they can “seal up” the field
  14. Yeah, we gotta keep our 1st round picks now. Maybe they would be interested in Gary Trent Jr 🤪
  15. https://www.mlb.com/news/chase-burns-extension-with-reds Chase Burns signs extension with Reds. I’d love a similar deal with Miz 7 years $105 million.
  16. I’m attending on Monday versus the Mets, so selfishly I’m hoping he pitches on Monday. also willing to take one for the team if they want to give him another couple days or week 🤓
  17. Love this. Fantastic add to the site! I’ve been a BF member/poster for 20 years, but never followed the minors (beyond our top 3-5 prospects) until 2-3 years ago and am a relatively new draftnik. Additions to the site really make learning about our draft more accessible. while following college sports has sucked the last 4 years due to NIL & the portal, watching our brewers prospects develop has become an interesting substitute. As a former coach, it’s really awesome to see young professionals grow and progress in their development
  18. Maybe someone with better graphic skills than I can create a nice handy chart that shows signing amount versus slot amount so we can see how our budget is developing? :)
  19. I’d say top 10 team. We’ve only won three playoff series in the past 15 years (40 years) We’ve been doing great winning division titles in the past decade and getting to the playoffs. But I get your point. Being in the thick of it almost every July is exciting. Speculating on who we are going to add it more exiting than who we are selling off. then again, anticipating prospect hauls was fun too. Very grateful to have such a top notch front office. i hope we continue building the future but still sell off incrementally to give ourselves a better shot
  20. These two are up there in my highest 3-4 priorities in his draft. Hopefully we can lock them in early
  21. I was just thinking about this. IIRC from last year, there is a pretty defined window for us to negotiate with our picks
