  1. the guy who came into the series batting .178/.218/.381/.599 who has gone 6 for 11 with 3 XBH
  2. brutal.... ugh, we're going to need some stuff to go our way now. GIDP would be nice, but now a flyball ties the game
  3. Yeah, this guy feels destined to hit another one out. Feels like half his HR this season have been this series against us
  4. Big strikeout there... but this is going to be another very high pitch count for TM
  5. I loved Uke.... but that did seem a bit over the top.
  6. Whew. too close for comfort. Would be nice to have an insurance run boys, just to give Megill something to work with besides a 1 run lead.
  7. Great job Shelby! Heart of the order coming up
  8. I just get the impression that Durbin's confidence and rhythm gets undermined if he's not playing almost every day
  9. Not trying to argue. I enjoy your posts.... I've just developed an irrational dislike for Seigler, not because of anything he does, but because sometimes Murphy doesn't treat him as he should (like the 26th man). Losing sucks... and when some less endowed players cost you games, they probably get an unreasonable amount of scrutiny, but it is what it is. Darn... that would have been a big run if Lockridge or Frelick could have come through there
  10. Cubs in an early 1-0 hole... Washington couldn't quite pull it together versus Philly
  11. Agreed. Outstanding. Patrick, way to step up big time when we needed you. Alright, let's get some badger mutual insurance runs and hope the bullpen can ice this away
  12. I can appreciate the guy tries hard, but he's not a good defender. His versatility is throwing the ball into the dugout or into right field. Seigler and Mona singlehandedly cost us the game yesterday. If he gets 2-3 starts a month, I can live with it, especially if he's working the count and trying to put up 7-8 pitch at-bats, but there is no platoon with him and Durbin. The only reason he should ever be in there for Durbin is if Durbin is hurt or needs an occasional rest. Defense is so important to this team, and yesterday shows why we need our best players on the field as much as possible.
  13. Dear Brewers Management: Caleb Durbin is an everyday player, period. I get he might need a day or two a month off, but otherwise he should be playing. Anthony Seigler on the other hand is terrible. He provides nothing. I'm sick of hearing about his "approach at the plate". The guy is a terrible defender and has ZERO extra base hits in 60 plate appearances. He brings nothing. Honestly have no idea why is is on the roster. DFA him, send him to the minors, don't care. The guy brings nothing. It is a complete joke he was taking some of Durbin's playing time (which really underminded the quality play Durbin has been giving us since Spring). Thank you, Brewers Fans Everywhere
  14. I wonder if Miz's thoughts about signing a contract maybe be different now than a month ago... 5 starts in and you're headed to super-stardom... a month later maybe expectations (from both sides) are a little more realistic and sustainable. I still think the kid is special, but as others have mentioned in the in-game thread, "he's learning how to pitch now" Unlikely that he's in the top-2 for ROY, so we should have 6 years of control remaining. Perhaps a contract that buys out his arby years with an opportunity for 2 team options in 32 and 33 would be in everybody's best interests... Shows the club is committed and believes in the kid, gives him financial security for life, and still gives him the opportunity to cash in at 31 on a mega deal if he becomes the superstar we all hope he does
  15. I'm not a fan of Lockridge, but wow, what an at-bat. Both Collins and Lockridge helping to drive up Boyd's pitch count this inning. Would be lovely to get him out of there after 5
  16. That is crazy. Seems like yesterday he was being traded to us
  17. Yeah, sign me up for that Marte contract. 6/100 (I think what is left) of that 7/115 deal seems very reasonable to me with elite production. Anyone know his surplus value on that contract?
  18. Sign me up. No mercy. We've got them on the run and I want a 10 game lead by the end of the night Would hate to see CC get fired by years end after the Cubs implode to a losing record for the season
  19. Came here to say this... the silver lining (if there is one), is that we have three more days with the Cubs... so we could end up with back to back double headers Tuesday and Wednesday. A day of rest today wouldn't hurt, though that makes the next two days a bit hairy
  20. Looking ahead to tomorrow, we do we have on the hill? Myers (afternoon game) Peralta (evening game)
  21. Maybe once we get Perkins and Collins back, we can get him one? Our offense sure clicks when he's up top, but I agree that he's really battling through it right now.
