  1. That looked like either an achilles or a hamstring no longer attached to where it's supposed to be....but who knows
  2. Receive opening kickoff and wind up with 18 total yards of offense in the 1st quarter after. Ill just check scores tonight to see if the were fortunate enough to lose this game. Tuning out, Mr. POLICY - thanks for nothing
  3. Agreed, but the problem with this situation is both gute and mlf were given new contracts by the new team pres....i think Policy gives gute a chance to save his hide for another season by firing MLF early - if that doesnt happen I think all 3 are sent packing
  4. It has been very, very rare for Packer nation to totally turn against the brass running the team and organization.... I believe we are firmly at that point - Lombardi Ave is not a pleasant place to be when thats the case. Assuming this train wreck season continues and MLF isnt fired by Thanksgiving, look for both Gute and Policy to also be shown the door at season's end. These guys just dont have it
  5. This team is its coach's mirror image - no accountability, undisciplined, immature. This is the culture created by 8+ years of MLF. Tear.it.all.down and start over - bringing in new players down the road doesnt change this toxic culture unless the people in charge are first removed. Wish Policy started taking that medicine last winter but here we are.
  6. Well, he does do a fabulous job of always being injured regardless of what his name is - looks like that's some continuity, unfortunately
  7. Bobby Gass has been fantastic after settling back into the rotation as the season has rolled on. I know the subsequent trade was a robbery in its own right to get wild bill here....but Hader for Ruiz and Gasser years ago has borne some serious fruit for the Brewers already - and it will look even better if Gasser becomes a rotation mainstay for a few more seasons
  8. to be fair, their bullpen owns everyone - if you don't get to them early you're not coming back...and they've got enough pop in their lineup to ambush you late in a game. The Brewers' starting pitching depth from a postseason standpoint is definitely a concern - something we all knew going into the season that could make for tough sledding in October by relying so much on young arms
  9. Was mad Sal didnt challenge that high strike....still knocked him in! Get 2-3 more runs here fellas
  10. It's crazy how fine the line between being effective and shelled at the MLB level is with pitching. With Sproat, it's all about command and finding an offspeed pitch that doesn't break into lefties. Harrison is essentially the polar opposite, needing better offspeed that isn't just rolling in laterally to righties along with maintaining a higher arm slot. I think both can be really good MLB pitchers, and some of their issues right now likely stem from end of season fatigue in terms of IP. Harrison's arm issues mid season definitely impacted things for him, too. For Sproat, his stuff is good enough where all he needs to do is be effectively wild in the zone with a power sinker/4 seamer mix and one average offspeed offering and he'd be a middling starter at worst - but he's got to throw strikes.
  11. don't care about a W or L as much as I want to see how Harrison pitches today
  12. Fangraphs just bumped the Brewers' odds to win the division to 33%....I can smell it!
  13. I get that you've never posted any take on this board without using your 20/20 hindsight approach...doesn't really change anyone else's opinion that any team with the best record in its conference in mid-December should be considered one of the favorites to get to and win a Super Bowl at that point in time. Anyways, Policy's decision to not move on from MLF looked bad from the moment he made it, and it's much worse now. If somehow the Packers right the ship and wind up back in the playoff picture later this year, I'll give some props but the truth is unless the team hoists a Lombardi trophy in the next season or two it was a mistake. I think we all can agree after MLF's teams' track records of playoff goose eggs and in-game collapses - which have only gotten more routine as time has gone by - we would be shocked if they win a Super Bowl anytime soon.
  14. The really crummy thing is, if this what Gute felt, he was right until the 2nd half in Denver late last season when Parsons went down. Once Parsons blew out his knee, the injuries to really good cogs (Wyatt, Kraft, etc) turned the Packers from the top seed in the NFC to the 7 seed, and now here we are.
  15. Well, they weren't last year....so they suck at that, too
  16. I dont know how Policy cant see how toxic the culture is within the organization and be ok with leaving the guys responsible for creating it in charge. No accountability on this roster at all
  17. Not a primary reason they lost...but the officiating was replacement level fail Mary bad. Its a shame the packers found plenty of other reasons to blow a game a competent, well-coached team would win by more than 2 scores in its sleep and couldnt put the focus on the bang job they received from the zebras
  18. They probably did a decent job of blocking their own blah defensive line all training camp
  19. 3rd and 11, opening drive of the 2nd half, and a turtle playcall...immediately followed by your roster seeing that, the vikings smelling blood in the water, and getting your teeth kicked in the rest of the game. Screw you, MLF
  20. If they had a competent OL, Love could throw for 600 yards on this secondary.
  21. MLF just pacing the sideline like he's searching for a comfort blanket You know why this keeps happening to your team, Matt? They've got your soft, passive mentality.
  22. If Policy had a spine, that wouldnt be the case
  23. You gave up a 30 burger to this team
