  1. If you don't throw them the ball or fumble it going in to score, the Bears absolutely are one of the worst defenses in the league. 49ers are on an extended offensive heater, but they hung a 40 burger on a healthy Bear defense despite Williams and Kittle sitting last night. The Bears played well on offense because the 49er defense is also a speed bump.
  2. Seems that way now, yes...but wildcard weekend is still two weeks away and i think GB only can get a little healthier - if the Packers are in Philly I dont see them winning that game because they won't be able to score on that defense. If it's in Chicago, I think they can win that game and most of the 5 logical Bear fans that exist wouldnt want to face the shell of a Packers' roster, either.
  3. They'll already be in year 3 of a rookie quarterback deal they're going to have to extend like he's prime Peyton Manning before the end of next season, and they will start the league year near the bottom of the league in cap space unless they plan on cutting or restructuring some key players currently on their roster. Ask the Lions what its like to have a seemingly lengthy window to try and win a Super Bowl open up and wind up having it shut in front of you after two seasons. Bears are out of the division cellar, but all of the roster building advantages they've had for years with last place schedules, cap space, high draft picks, and Carolina handing them Calb Williams trading for the pick to select Young are about to shift dramatically the other direction - and their defense is both bad and old in key positions.
  4. Bears defense doing their best Packer D impression in San fran so far...had the refs called defensive PI on that early game pick 6 (DB was definitely early leading to the pass knocked up in the air for a gimme INT), this game would already be over.
  5. They'd never face each other, but Id pick GB against whoever wins the NFC south, too. Call me crazy, but it wouldn't surprise me at all for this Packers team to go on a bit of a run - theyve played badly enough to give their key starters a bye week next week (Vikings game means nothing for them), so they'll be as healthy as they possibly can be headed to a likely road playoff game against the Bears (barring some week 18 seeding adjustments). I'd pick the Packers to win that game since they dominated that team 6+ quarters they've faced them over the past few weeks. Then they'd go to the Rams and play in an essentially neutral field environment in good weather conditions - i can see that game turning into a shootout the Rams would win 75% of the time, but thats not 100%...
  6. Since the Chiefs are eliminated, I think that locks in the Eagles to reach to Super Bowl, since we need to have at least 1 insufferable fanbase/franchise most of the country is annoyed to see reach the super bowl again annually. They're pretty healthy, have weapons everywhere on offense, and their defensive front can wreck any game when it decides to play. If Hurts plays just ok, that disfunctional team is a problem in January for anyone else in the NFC.
  7. Health / availability is the lone thing keeping Watson from easily being a top flight receiver in the NFL based on his wr development finally catching up with his physical gifts. That said, he will never realize and be recognized for that potential if he cant stay on the field for a full season. This Packer offense has a knack for never giving a wideout the volume of targets to put up the numbers that guys like Chase or JSN will post, too (lone exception bekng Rodgers/Adams' connection when the rest of the options weren't getting open). That doesnt mean every team in the NFL wouldn't want Watson as a starting WR for 2026 with the contract # he'll have.
  8. The Steelers would make sense for Willis, too assuming Rodgers retires after they win the super bowl (statement not entirely in blue)
  9. He still gets open routinely when he's actually on the field. And he catches the ball when it's thrown to him. I simply don't get it - i think it will take the Packers moving on from Doubs to get him more opportunities, and that better happen this offseason
  10. Why the hell is Bo Milton in the game there? I mean, I get it with all the backups - but WHY is he on the field over any of the other receiver options ahead if him on the depth chart??
  11. He may need to with how injuries are piling up tonight
  12. At minimum a contract restructuring
  13. McKinney has had a very subpar year - he drove the turnovers last season and he cant catch a cold this year
  14. They are getting whooped at the line of scrimmage, both sides of the ball....all you need to know
  15. Defense is going to be completely spent by halftime...not that they helped themselves at all to begin with
  16. Until Wyatt went down late in Detroit on Thanksgiving, playoff outlook was pretty darn high in my book...it's been steadily downhill from there though
  17. Nfl seriously considering an 18 game regular season??? Should reduce it to 14 instead...
  18. 14:1 time of possession disparity rn
  19. And then a big pass play...lol!
  20. Big play intonscoring territory and the offense reminds itself it cant be that easy...back to back presnap penalties. Coaching
  21. If the Ravens feed him enough, Henry will wind up with 300 yards rushing tonight if the dline cant get off blocks. He will be dragging guys trying to tackle him 10 yards downfield if they let him get up to speed at will
  22. It's because when the blue bloods land 5-stars who are impact players, they can easily find funds to keep them around...and still have funds to poach other smaller school rosters to fill the limited roster holes they'd have. Rich get richer when $$ can be tossed around.
