  1. Yeah that's tough to root for either today...but it's the Bears with a very PJ Fleck - like Ben Johnson coaching them, so I'd enjoy seeing that house of cards get destroyed at Philly and root for a December Eagles loss to someone else.
  2. Need a 1st here after typical run run in crunch time
  3. And then they call that to extend a dead drive
  4. Ish on that series...3rd and short and another low percentage deep shot attempt Probably a missed dpi...but draw up a higher percentage play
  5. I get the go for it constantly mentality that is Dan Campbell...but zero thought to kick a fg there and make it a 1 score game?
  6. Both defenses playing like they're on a short week 2 months into the season....turkey day track meet
  7. This game will swing on a turnover...Defense needs to scheme a coverage to bait Goff into a bad throw. Its Williams and Gibbs only rn
  8. Get them in while you can - reality starts this weekend 😀
  9. That, the jobs and CPI data not being released... which probably means it's pretty bad. No, data just didn't get collected because of the shutdown. I guess some people may choose to think it's because it had to be bad, but that's just predetermined for some. Would rather have no data to look at than cooked/manipulated data anyways - which up until recently had been the norm.
  10. Sorry, you made a spelling error....should be "Bears or the Lions here?" Autocorrect can be tough
  11. Going into the season, I don't know if there was a more highly regarded GM/Coach combo in the NFL than Adofo-Mensah and O'Connell....and I never really saw it. I've always thought O'Connell was really good at getting his team ready to play/game planning and think that him/Flores are really good coordinators on both sides of the ball. But I've always thought the Vikes' roster had mammoth holes in its depth chart and they've repeatedly tried to reshuffle deck chairs without the full gut rebuild that organization needed after Spielman was canned. Never really saw the love Adofo-Mensah instantly got, because I just don't think their roster is nearly as good as what they've had to pay for it in terms of contracts/draft capital. They haven't had a ton of draft picks and really haven't hit consistently enough with mid-round picks since then, the exception being drafting Jefferson (who was drafted by Spielman, if I'm not mistaken). Now they've paid Jefferson a ton of money, which is always a roll of the dice to put that much into the WR position, and this offseason the Vikes spent a ton in free agency under the belief of getting their roster as stacked as possible with a QB on a rookie deal - that approach has fallen flat, not only because McCarthy sucks, but also because that roster around him just isn't as good as they thought it was. Darrisaw showed flashes of being a good LT before he blew his knee out last year, but I always thought they overpayed him even before injury - and he's a turnstyle this year along with not being able to stay on the field. Somehow 50 year old Harrison Smith is still their best safety. This feels like what could have happened to MLF and Gute had Love completely sucked a few seasons ago, meaning the coach/GM ties their own jobs to the young quarterback, and failing to develop that spot blows up in their face - especially when the Vikes had every opportunity to keep Darnold or even Jones in their building after last season and instead assumed "their guy" was going to be good enough with another offseason of rehab/coaching/development.
  12. They had to hit a game winning FG after letting McCarthy come back on them last week - the Bears are about the weakest possible 8-3 team that can possibly be. Their defense is brutal and are winning 2-3 point games against awful teams weekly, many of which were games they had to come back to win against backup quarterbacks. Even if they somehow stumble into the NFC North title this year because the lions amd packers beat up on each other, whoever the bears play in the 1st round of the playoffs beats them in chicago by 2 scores
  13. Probably one of the fastest games in years...its 245. Packers treated the vikes like it was preseason week 2
  14. Vikes' roster is over damn rated. So is their GM.
  15. Early whistle, wilson fumbled that
  16. Great play by Gary and McDuffie there
  17. I get making it a 3 score game....but this is the opposite of going for the jugular. 3rd and 3 with what amounts to just having Love take a knee. I think not staying aggressive during these type of games makes it out of character for the offense to crank it up in the postseason.
  18. In the broader markets, I think it's more profit taking on the heels of the govmint shutdown wrapping up than diminished investor confidence in the recent 1-2 weeks. Holiday season is typically a good time for a year end bull run - even if fundamentals/data point the other direction - after all, brokers gotta make their year end bonus, right?? I have no idea what Bitcoin is doing...
  19. Going to be a game decided by how the Packers' offense handles constant blitzing.
  20. Goff in questionable weather is a bad nfl quarterback - was windy in Philly last night, and when I saw Goff warming up with gloves on both hands I knew the Eagles were going to win.
  21. Bears vikes once again pure 4th quarter chaos
