  1. Bumping this thread - seeing that there's a decent chance the Brewers may run right past many of the season long win predictions on here by Labor Day!!
  2. This team is 4 wins better than anyone else in MLB, 6 more wins than anyone else in the NL. I take it you are more of the glass 5 percent empty sort - even if filling it even more would cause it to overflow and be a different reason for doom and gloom
  3. Thank goodness the Brewers found a way to salvage their fading hopes to finish the season with a winning record by getting win #82, with a week to go in August, and only lost 2.5 games in the standings tonight against an idle Cub juggernaut by lucking into this win.
  4. I get Hader vibes from him, and wonder if that multi inning fireman reliever is his best role longterm. He has been exceptional
  5. I dont know how Ashby gets hit ever when his stuff looks like this. 99 with sink and tail and that filth of a hook?
  6. Am I missing something? We are still winning, right? I'd be willing to bet most of the people now acting like the Brewers will never win again while Cubs go undefeated the last 5ish weeks of the season didnt have the Brewers winning 81 games for the full season when the calendar said march. Calm down already
  7. over the course of a 162 game season, all teams are going to go through stretches where they go 4-6 and teams chasing them go 7-3 or 8-2. Not all teams are going to do that after playing the equivalent of better than 0.700 winning percentage baseball for 3 solid months of the schedule. The Brewers weren't going to maintain a 110+ win pace, that's just baseball. They are far from burning out after a tough week that saw them lose a couple of very winnable games that would otherwise have their division lead closer to 10 games than 5. This stretch of consecutive days with games is absolutely brutal, though. Hoping they can beat on the Dbacks to start the week to close out August on the high note it's been!
  8. This team looks like it just played its 11th game in 10 days...and it's only the middle of this brutal stretch of their schedule. Megill has to pitch better - should have been a W today.
  9. Despite all the hand-wringing, a couple of hard hit balls find holes at certain times and this could've easily been a 4-1 Brewer series win on the road against a team desperate to try and make up ground. Close August out strong and get Chourio back innthis lineup!
  10. It feels like the slew of minor injuries and paternity leaves coming during and on the back end of this crazy hot streak make this stretch a natural time for a tough week, and that is bearing out. Pisses us as fans off because a chunk of it is coming against the Cubs, but its part of a 162 game grind the players are accustomed to. Hoping they find a way to win yet tonight and tomorrow, but also not going to burn any Brewers gear if they leave Chicago with only a 5 game lead and zero head to heads left against this team trying to catch us
  11. The book on Cassie should be hard stuff inside and up in the zone until he proves he can turn on a pitch
  12. Woo will not get through 4 at this rate....command off and ump not giving him strikes when he is on the margins
  13. Brewers using their bottom 3 arms on the roster so far, Cubs going to likely empty their kep arms to try and hold onto a win....sets up well for game tonight. No matter the outcome in this game
  14. Hit that ball hard - baseball happens. The bad flip defensively is the difference in the game now, though
