  1. Seeing Siegler with a uniform on really irritates me...nothing against him as a person, but I cant stand him on this roster.
  2. Short hitter, fastball middle of zone at the knees...ball one. Next pitch he can be aggressive and laces a double down the line instead of likely getting a nasty curveball to deal with. Smh
  3. Vaughn! He is not unconsciously hot...but still making some solid swings and giving the good at bats. Huge steal by Perkins otherwise he would be standing on 3rd
  4. Then Yelich takes two hittable fastballs Gotta be hoping Perkins steals 2nd? Then swings at a ball 6 inches off the plate
  5. Contreras cannot be in this lineup right now where he is penciled in. Dammit Jackson - that is little league
  6. Turang at short and Durbin and 2nd makes so much sense if there is a bopper at 3B instead of Siegler...ill be very pleasantly surprised if thats more than a random Sunday late game lineup anomaly after typical head scratching punch hit decisions
  7. Contreras in the middle of this order is being exposed now that the bottom of the lineup are no longer hitting out of their minds. He is going like a slumping Adames but with no power because of that thumb/hand
  8. Seigler on this roster and leading off the inning in the 7th while a struggling contreras is dh-ing is why Arnold needs to add a bat ASAP. "Super utilityman" is brewer announcer code for "a bunch of gloves but no bat"
  9. Ashby is getting unfairly squeezed because his stuff has so much movement. Marlins scouting report has to be "dont swing" This is like watching 9U little league and a coach that just tells their team to not swing the bat and hope for the best
  10. There are a handful of guys in MLB who can go 1st to 3rd on a hard hit single to left... Yelich is one of them
  11. This is where the Brewers need a bat-first player added to their roster, so when guys like Contreras and yelich are scuffling they get actually days off and someone else can DH.
  12. I mean, you could go back 3 games earlier to have watched them win 12 of 13 that included 6 against the dodgers. No team is going to win at a 0.800+ clip forever. If the Brewers win today they split the season series against the marlins, who have been playing well for a prolonged time now. Would be great to win today leading up to their next series, for sure....Lotta game left
  13. Liking this - I think in addition to weighing individual metrics on players across the diamond and how they contribute to the overall W/L performance of the team over the course of 162, the Brewers have to assess what moves can be made to strengthen a team weakness in a short series/playoff format. Power/HR in the lineup is this team's primary weakness - if it means sacrificing a couple regular season wins to add an impact bat or two at the deadline at the expense of defense or positional versatility so the lineup has a better chance of slugging in postseason, the Brewers have to make that move this year. If the Brewers want to make a splash move at the deadline (i.e., unexpected trade that sends a ton in return for an impact player), I think SS is the position the Brewers should target and go after a guy like Henderson (Orioles) - but there just aren't any SS this deadline that are obviously on the block - so this would seem to be more of an offseason-type trade option the Brewers could look to make by packaging a bunch of their prospect capital. So that makes the obvious position to upgrade 3B, and Suarez is that guy.
  14. 3 days per childbirth? Seems like a roster loophole the brewers could exploit. How many times has Ashby been on paternity leave this season? Three?!?!
