  1. Waaah, and just literally minutes ago I was speculating in the chat room that our next attended game (Friday) would be a Narvdog start. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Now I just have to whip up a Wholestaff jersey or shirt.
  2. Ahh, I'm glad something went well today. Pedal to the metal, Brewers. This is no time to let up.
  3. Some older-school closer mojo for reaching the latest magic number... http://cdn.sportsmemorabilia.com/sports-product-image/59-t1066851-500.jpg Hat tip to DougJones43 for reminding me!
  4. Corey's face is more misshapen, but otherwise, yeah, I can see that. /silently cursing the chat room that doesn't want to let me in
  5. Good heavens. They could have just added an H on the end so guys could pretend Alcides was their Esco BRAH. If I ever see one of these wonders at MP I'm going to just assume it's someone from Brewerfan and introduce myself.
  6. At the risk of continuing to put the cart way before the horse...if I recall correctly, in 2008, Wisconsin sports fans had to choose between NLDS game 3 and a UW night game (I want to say OSU, knowing that someone here will correct me if needed. It was the band-less game). I remember seeing a ton of eastbound traffic on I-94 as we drove home from the NLDS game.
  7. Bah, the lineup that now appears above wasn't the original Brewers-tweeted lineup. Well, come on, fellas. Give Invader3K and any other visiting Brewers fans a good show.
  8. Yaaaay, Shaun Marcum:
  9. I was just pondering how mind-blowingly epic a sports day in the state of Wisconsin could get - and that would certainly be an example. You could make it a mind-blowingly epic weekend with the Packers at Lambeau on Sunday.
  10. Taking this thread on a slight tangent...we got a call from our ticket rep last week saying that we were selected to attend a Rollie Fingers Season Seat Holder reception on Wednesday 8/10 (i.e. tomorrow). Apparently season ticket customers who filled out an online survey earlier this summer were eligible for the opportunity. We completed the survey without noticing there was a possible perk for it, but after years of getting the shaft on fan appreciation night, the Kohls Family Section Family of the Game, the state fair tickets, and much more, we'll gratefully accept this. Fortunately, August is a "down time" for both my work and the S.O.'s, so we quickly arranged for a day off and will have lunch in the club tomorrow, meet and receive a signed ball from Rollie, and can participate in a Q and A session. I'm just wondering if any other BF.net folks (who are season ticket customers and filled out this survey) were invited to this thing. I'd look for a familiar face or screen name if you were. Now if I could only think of a question for Rollie - because I really can't think of anything new to ask about 1982, and I am not going to bring up his taxes.
  11. I hope the Brewers can remain immune to the TLR/STL mindgames. Even if they have to line their caps and helmets with tinfoil to do it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. That occurred to me today. I've never eaten at Webb's, and won't mind waiting until I can get the burger for free.
  13. http://www.blujay.com/1/435/3211326_s1_i1.jpg I'm nervous too, RoCo, but I can't resist an opportunity to post a photo of my man Rob Deer.
  14. Per Adam McCalvy: D'oh, I didn't type as quickly as crossface21. Well, Sunday lineup vs. Sunday roster (albeit with Houston's perhaps best starter).

  16. Someone's in there now, but it only works for me maybe 50% of the time. Anti-shoutout to Yuku. Edit: I'm in now. I don't know if that was a one-second wormhole or what.
  17. Yes, it's Jorge de la Rosa, once known around these parts as the King of Unhittable Filth. He wore #47.
  18. http://www.brewerfan.net/images/playerpix/jorge_de_la_rosa.jpg
  19. Uecker: "Tim Dillard will finish this one for the Crew." Cockeyed optimist. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  20. Make a note of Enerio Del Rosario. Besides being just a cool name to say, he's also now the answer to a Craig Counsell trivia question.
  21. At least Houston fans can follow J.B. Shuck in his MLB debut tonight.
  22. I dozed during the first hour and a half of this game with the radio on. It was so nice because I was still awake enough to hear the scoring. Cory Provus said the Astros' 25-man roster currently includes 11 rookies.
