  1. Not a problem. You can dial it back to, say, seven kinds of stupid. (That's as random as your 1,342,826.)
  2. Really? I can't see Cardinal Nation tolerating the Lambeau Leap (the actual leap, not the site...well, maybe also the site).
  3. A couple of additional links - apologies if they're duplicates here: The Onion AV Club's take on TLR (not fictitious like in the 'regular' part of The Onion) Bleacher Report: A culture of complaining yoshii8, from my vantage point in the loge and behind home plate, I frankly thought that Pujols had been hit in the head, especially given how he reacted. I didn't realize it was his hand until I saw TV replays at home later.
  4. Well, you might find a few people here like that, but not all of us. Nice to have you aboard (not to mention someone else born in the 1960s). Brandon Phillips, for me, falls into that category of "players I'd probably love if they were on my team, but they're not, so..." Had a Brewer said what he said about STL last season, I'd have been wincing on the outside and cheering on the inside, though.
  5. OK, serious question for pitchleague: By what day do you need this thread hidden so the site isn't blocked for you at work?
  6. Actually, my first thought was an anxiety disorder, given that disruptions to his routine can cause problems.
  7. Put this in the urinal: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51HOfwHR%2BdL.jpg
  8. Tom Oates of the Wisconsin State Journal weighed in on the TLR mindgames. For once, I agree with something he's written.
  9. I thought about suggesting that you change the spelling of one word from "morons" to "morans," but I don't want to malign the AP. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. This post almost made me laugh out loud, which at the library is a bit problematic. Also, sorry FF, but I'm not in your age bracket, nor am I available.
  11. Whaddaya know, Casey is the Chevrolet Star of the Game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Who needed this day more, the team, the fanbase or Casey himself? Thanks, man. Keep it going.
  12. I made a point of taking a photo of fans in our section applauding as play resumed following the Pujols HBP. Proof of class?
  13. Oh, burniebrewer, we were in 217, just across the aisle from 218, watching people move out of the way of the rain and getting just slightly sprayed ourselves. I wish I'd known you were there; we could have finally met 'for real.' I noticed the Brock "double salute" dude too. Class. Pure class. His exaggerated ump-mimicking strikeout calls after Brewer strikeouts were almost as classy. I'll admit that most of the red-clad fans around us were lacking in attitude, which was redeeming. That was such an interesting game. It was crazy hot and humid (though we benefited from the occasional whiffs of press box AC) and I had to get up and walk the concourse a few times out of nervousness. I hate the TLR mindgames as much as anyone, but overall it was quite an entertaining night. Getting home at 1:45 AM has made for a rather unproductive day at the office today, though. Despite the bloopy GWRBI hit, I was happy with Marco's performance. He recorded some big Ks. I was thinking "ballsy" but that would suggest more of a walk. And the Yunibomb...man. Wouldn't it be insane if he wound up providing the "big play" the Brewers need to put themselves over the top (of the standings or postseason)? Finally, another weather note: did those of you at the park catch the bizarre sky colors before the roof closed and the rain came? I haven't moved my photos off the camera yet, but I'm hoping they capture the weird rosey-coral hue. There were also strange cloud streaks in the sky. Just another thing to make that game memorable.
  14. Absolutely. Focus on the real game; don't give in to the mind games. Get back on the bike, Brewers.
  15. You can be "hardcore" and still not spend enough $ on your tickets to get perks from the Brewers. So yeah, I am pretty sure the luncheon opportunities go to people with at least a 20-pack.
  16. Clearly the Brewers mistook the metal plate for a "sign." No, seriously, good thing that happened during a road trip. It makes me wonder if PNC, Minute Maid, GABP and MP shouldn't watch out.
  17. Not to mention, more swings of the bats just might produce a slight breeze at the park. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif Go Brewers. 1-0 for Tuesday.
  18. The Brewers' Facebook page reported around 9:30 AM that a "significant" line had already formed for the Morgan noon-to-1:00 autograph session at the team store.
  19. What a great day for the latest Power 50 to come out!
  20. I was going to look for a Toby's Power 50 graphic, until I realized what Robin19 did there. Maybe I'll wear my Power 50 shirt to tonight's game as a tribute.
  21. I've been superstitiously afraid to post 'magic number' graphics so far this season. I don't even know the current number. Let's all have a moment of forum silence for Chris Carpenter's son. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif
  22. It'd be awesome, if it were true, instead of what NMF's family, friends and acquaintences think is true. Our first house was a 15 minute walk from Camp Randall. When we had to move (long story in itself), my S.O. told his sister (who parked at our house for football games) and her absolute first question was, "what about football parking?" It turns out our current house is also about 15 minutes away, but nice first question.
  23. STL thinks C-Patt is their missing piece? Really?
  24. "Legitimately cheating" sounds like an oxymoron. (And I was sorely tempted to write "oxymoran.") On at least as irritating a note, wonderful timing for Yuku to not let me into the chat room. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
