My kid's throwing out the first pitch!
hawing replied to RoseBowlMtg's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
For a moment I was thinking "backup catcher - hey, maybe he'll throw to Lucroy!" But if Jonathan gets the start with Randy Wolf Tuesday, then Wolf would be scheduled to pitch on Sunday (after several Tuesday-Sunday pairs of games this season, I'm getting a tiny bit tired of seeing Wolf-Wolf and Bush-Bush), and if Ken pairs Lucroy with Wolf, then your son might be throwing to George Kottaras. Ehh, it's still going to be a thrill. -
To some degree, it's a matter of personal preference. Davey has some interesting insights, but is the opposite of a smooth talker, which in radio is problematic. Still, I find it easier to listen to Cory and Davey than to either Brian/Rock or (definitely) Coshun/Rock, so I accept Davey as a short-term sub.

How exciting! I'll try to remember to snap some photos (though I know the Brewers document it too). -
High humidity.

I only got to follow this game through Zach's first inning of work. But nice job, Wholestaff! or at least adequate job - and tonight I'll take adequate.
-
I thought I read or heard somewhere that Lucroy would get the start Tuesday 5/25. I don't remember where, though.

I suppose a photo of a revolving door was easier to find than a photo of this guy: http://lp.imageg.net/prod?set=key[name],value[WHOLESTAFF]&set=key[number],value[10]&set=key[displaysize],value[500]&load=url[http://chains.imageg.net/graphics/dynamic/chains/pDIT-7121161_customback.chain] Well, Brewers, do what you can.

For better or worse, Mark A has to balance the wants of the casual fans with those of the "fanatics," since both groups contribute $upport to the franchise. Striking that balance is not a job I'd want.

Here is a link from Adam McCalvy.

Meanwhile, the game ends. I guess I'm glad the Brewers made it more of a game than it was looking as the 9th began. A more successful first inning for Yo and, perhaps, none of this bonus baseball would have happened.

http://digitallydelicious.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/grilled_cheese_sandwich.jpg I guess it's beyond time for this, but better late than never?

I wouldn't totally object to that, if only because we are attending Tuesday's game and I'd like to see someone other than Wolf or Bush start.
-
Aww, but that'll keep Zach in AAA even longer.

My boy. My over-tatted boy.

Left-handed, left field...it's all left. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

Is anyone left besides Vargas and Hoff? /sighing inside/

All right, Villa. We need you now, tonight. We need you more than ever.

This game might still be their best chance of winning on the weekend.

Soup threw 59 pitches in 3.2 innings Friday night.

Not just a long day...a long day on FOX. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif /steeling myself/ Edit: oops, I was fooled by the 3:10 start time.

Give Ryan Braun one more AB with Howry in a clutch situation, and it would be OK by me.
-
I don't quite know how to feel.

The best part is if they have an 80s retro night, they can just use Axford's picture as is. I was saying that Sunday night about Gregg Zaun. They don't even have to change his music!

For those of you following by Gameday...good for you? The "injury delay" involves home plate umpire John Hirschbeck.

2010-05-20 Non-Brewers in-game
hawing replied to Marc Newfield of Dreams's topic in Archived Game Threads
The grand slam was hit by Brooks Conrad, who got his first two home runs off the Brewers. This was a pinch-hit appearance.
