  1. Cole Gillespie says "remember me?" http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  2. Inglett apparently has a .455 career batting average vs. Jackson. If Joe starts in RF all weekend (barring injury, or further injury), then I'd begin to wonder about the lack of faith in Corey and Jody.
  3. Ahem, the pressure was on you, not me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif The only thing saving SoCal Brew Crew Fan from my icy stare is that I said a beatdown would be on his head...not a walkoff gut punch. I fell asleep during the Vargas stint (no need to pile on and make additional jokes about Claudio) and honestly woke up this morning expecting to learn of a shutout. Then, as WIBA sensitively woke me up by playing the call of the walkoff during the morning sports report, I thought to myself, "please don't be Hoffman please don't be Hoffman...oh, Hawkins. OK." So - I'm glad they battled back and it wasn't Trevor who faltered. I'm trying to look at it as "only a walkoff homer prevented the sweep."
  4. I'm on this bandwagon. The mismatch between Ken and the Brewers makes how good or bad a manager he is a moot point.
  5. Sssssshhh! Doug will hear you! Of course, Eric is only 34, and you don't want a spring chicken out there.
  6. Only as long as Ken Macha is around. I'm not sure whether to put that in blue. This morning, I'm also tempted to suggest Team Gut Punch.
  7. Bob was released from Froedtert on Thursday. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Psst, Brewers...you don't really have laurels on which to rest yet. So keep at it. Don't be satisfied with a series win! (If they do suffer a beatdown tonight, it's at least partially on SoCal Brew Crew Fan's head.)
  9. Macha's Terrifying Lows and Dizzying Highs.
  10. CC Sabathia appearing in Subway commercials. Is his "day job" not paying enough?
  11. Of these suggestions, I like Team Strobe (maybe especially the bit about seizure risk) and Team Paradox best. Macha's Mysterious Travelling Show, while arguably accurate, does not roll off the tongue as readily. I still think "bipolar" is the best overall descriptor, but I'd rather not invite ire from persons with real manic depression.
  12. Sweet merciful crap. Though at least my man Ougday Avisday got the inway.
  13. Yeah, these signings always make me think of you, zach. I don't know if I can make this one, though. I have to be on the far west side by 6:00, so the line would have to move quickly.
  14. That 20-0 game didn't seem like at least a respite from the terrifying lows?
  15. It's a good thing these games aren't played on paper. I'm worried about GoGo, though. That rundown has the potential to be costly.
  16. For UW basketball fans, Jason Bohannon and Trevon Hughes are signing Thursday, May 6 (tomorrow as I write this) from 4:30-6:00 at the University Book Store on State Street. This seems to be an annual tradition, with the UW basketball seniors.
  17. It might be stunned silence. Give the fan base a chance to recover. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Now, Doug, tonight is not a race to see which starting pitcher can outcrap the other. Don't let the Dodgers back in.
  18. Not to pile on, but the picnic area in right field of Miller Park is in its second season of being AirTran-sponsored. Previously it carried the Mercedes-Benz name. Link
  19. Yeah, I was semi-remembering the phrase "Tropical Tuesday." That jersey. Next we'll need a screen grab of the back of the jersey. Also - you probably know but I'll point it out anyway - having a crappy phone doesn't stop you from being a poster worth your salt. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I'm just glad you saw a win. Heck, I'm just glad for all of us there was a win.
  20. On the way to work today, I thought of a Simpsons quote that reminds me of our 2010 Milwaukee Brewers: The Brewers' season needs more creamy middles.
  21. I expressed a nearly identical thought in the chat (though I'm reluctant to trivialize mental health disorders, it really seems to fit).
  22. Gregg Zaun read this and says, "There you go, thablingster."
  23. I feel confident LouisEly will provide a full postgame report which answers all of our questions. Shutout averted!!11!
  24. That sounds like the shirt he has worn to Brewer games before. If he's a poster worth his salt, he'll check the IGT on his smart phone tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
