I never understand not using your best reliever(s) in the bottom of the 9th of a tie game. Saving your best guys for a situation that may not happen (a save situation) is simply stupid. By the book managing bites us yet again. -

Yeah.....as long as he stays on the field for 130 games a year, and puts up an .850-ish OPS.....we're fine with him.

Why am I surprised that they got that call right? Great play by Marco, and really good , heads up play by Luc to be aware of where he was in space so as to not essentially give the Nat's a 'free' run by illegally blocking the plate.

Don't agree with this move at all. There has been one hard hit ball this inning. The rest have been bloops, bleeders and dunkers. That Werth double was a ball 4" out of the zone and ankle high. Desmond's "single" was a ball he didnt even get a full swing at.

And that's a winner. The homer to Harper doesn't bother me. WHen you have a 3 run lead, go after guys. Don't pick pick pick around the corners.

a 6'11 PG is going to get stripped a LOT by smaller points. He's got great ball handling skills but he's awfully long, and a lot of guys are going to be able to get under and inside him and strip the ball. I'm ok with this, if they truly think it leads to a more dynamic offense, it's just something to be aware of.

I think the Brewers boys have really acquitted themselves well tonight. Gomez whiffed a few times, but he had a nice grab, and got to show off the hose a few times. Luc and Rami with 2 hits each, K-Rod with a scoreless inning...... Gomez looks like he's just stoked as all get out to just be there.

I checked out the gateway red birds IGT and someone actually posted that Luc should catch the whole game. Nobody blaming him for the first inning. They had a field day with the Gomez at bat though. Which they should have. It was hilarious.

I think most people would agree, if they weren't in first place (granted, after a rough losing patch,), but still.......in first place......at the all star break.
