  1. I bet you that the Brewers equipment manager is really sweating this one out. No way would I wanna be the dude sewing Saltalamacchia with (what seems to be) 3 outlines and 2 drop-shadows onto the (what seems to be) 7 different jerseys we have.
  2. Big bummer. I've met him a couple times at shows but hadn't seen him in over ten years when he bought a guitar amp from me. Seemed like a stand out dude and loved talking Brewers.
  3. Trenni's pretty hot.
  4. I've been there a gajillion times but I don't have kids. Anything you want to know, just ask. I do recommend you stay at a Disney resort because the free transportation is so convenient as is the free Magic Express pickup from the airport. The All-Star Resorts are completely fine if you really don't plan on staying in your rooms much. The kids will love them. If you want something a bit fancier I hear that the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the best bang for the buck. I also recommend getting the dining plans. They usually offer free dining if you visit during Sep-Nov. Get this and make sure to make your dinner reservations as soon as you can. I think it's either 180 or 90 days before your visit. Restaurants at the parks are convenient because you don't need to waste much time getting to dinner. The restaurants in the World Showcase typically have the best quality food of all the parks. Try to get out of the parks by the time the fireworks shows start otherwise you'll be waiting in line for a long time waiting for your bus back to the hotel. Utilize you fastpass and fastpass express. There's also a handy app that helps with this. Must-fastpass rides immediately or you'll never get on are probably the new Snow White ride at MK, Toy-Story Mania at HS, Soarin at Epcot. Do the Safari Tours at AK right away in the morning if you want to see the animals at their most active. Half of Hollywood Studios is being torn down for new attractions. You'll be able to get this park done in half a day for sure. Do Toy Story, Tower of Terror, & Aerosmith and you're done. That's all I gots for now.
  5. Trust me I'm into chicks but those Diamond Dancers gotta go.
  6. I manage an auto repair shop and it's true the difficulty varies depending on the car. Unfortunately my hands and arms are super skinny and I have limp wrists which means it's usually myself who has to replace headlight bulbs. I hate it and half the time it's not even worth what we charge to do it. Some cars you have to remove the front clip (bumper) just to get access to the bulb. I want to punch the engineers who have designed these cars.
  7. You can keep stockpiling all the prospects you want for that mythical tomorrow or 'someday' but John Fogerty once told me... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMz1I6KsgXc
  8. I'm selfishly hoping in goes to Colorado Springs. I was a kid living there when they built the stadium in the late eighties. Sky Sox games were the first baseball games I ever went to. They were a Cleveland affiliate back then. I remember getting to see Albert Belle and those other Indians stars play before the Indians called them up. It'll give me an excuse to dig up some old Sky Sox caps out of my dad's basement. One concern I would have with Colorado Springs is the fact that the elevation there is even higher than Denver. That can't be good for the pitchers we're trying to develop.
  9. I'm still rocking an original 4. It still works fine but I've noticed it slowing down and becoming somewhat glitchy lately. I think that's pretty good for a 4-year old phone. I know the day is coming that I'm gonna have to replace it. Why do they make phones so damn big? I love the size of the 4 and am dreading having to deal with the gargantuan size of the 6. It's gonna look so ridiculous having that thing wedged into my front pocket (if it even fits). I hate progress.
  10. I manage an auto repair shop. A few years back somebody went through my lot with a sawzall and swiped nine catalytic converters from my customer's cars. That was not a good day.
  11. It's all over the internets. So much swag and not one Remetee shirt in sight. Can't believe how well Overbay pulled off the Robert Van Winkle. So glad the Brewers haven't DFA'd him yet so this photo could be taken. http://scuffedballs.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/0000072.jpg
  12. I remember Aquino-gate. Pissed me off so bad I had to order up a Yosted t-shirt. I'm glad that shirt still has relevance.
  13. When you see Jack Z drop 200 mil on Cano to put more butts in the seats and sell some jerseys you really get to appreciate the genius that is Doug Melvin. Dude retaliated this move by finding an abandoned dog and making him the face of the franchise. I promise you that mutt is gonna sell so much more swag and get way more butts in the seats than Robinson Cano ever will in Seattle. Probably win more games too. Brilliant move Melvin. Brilliant move.
  14. As a long time 10-Pack (or was it 9?) holder I initially decided not to renew this last season. But then that Chance To Advance promotion came and I signed up for that. It was cheaper and by the end of the year I was sitting on the field level. I hope they offer that again because I loved it. Not sure if many took advantage of the program this year or not.
  15. So in theory, I could acquire some PEDs and send them to a MLB player via FedEx and he signs for the package not really knowing what it is. And then I write up some bogus receipt with his name and that he paid in cash. That would be enough to suspend a guy? Anyone have Molina's address? I order vinyl records and stuff on the internet all the time. I'm constantly getting packages. And usually I don't not remember what or who, I had ordered from two weeks ago.
  16. Can't believe Yo hasn't bumped this thread yet. Gonna watch the crew get hammered as I get hammed to some Finlandia & Robinade & a Jacks frozen pizza with a z,
  17. This about sums up McCarver for me.
  18. I wouldn't wanna be the Selig statue at Miller Park if this witch hunt keeps going the way it's going. This whole ordeal is starting to turn into good material for Ken Burns to use for the 11th inning of 'Baseball'. Or at the very least, a 30 For 30 episode.
  19. Selling high would just turn us into the Pirates.
  20. You think Russell Branyan can work his wonderful majik for a month?
  21. I was there last year for a wedding. Maui is an amazing place. Wish I was going back soon. I stayed in a small rented cottage in a dinky town on the north side called Haiku. It was away from all the tourist hustle and bustle. Here's what I can remember... All the beaches are spectacular. Here are my favorites... Wailea Beach, Maluaka Beach, Kaanapali Beach, Kahekeli Beach & Koki Beach Park. Wai'anapanapa Black Sand Beach is amazing scenery but not really a beach you'd wanna beach it up at. But there are spectacular caves and fresh water pools to discover. Eating... Colleen's Restaurant & Bar in Haiku is great for breakfast. Maui Tacos was my favorite for cheap fast food lunch. Otherwise there are plenty of taco trucks and restaurants in the tourist towns like Lahaina & Wailea. The best Luau is the Old Lahaina Luau. Decent food and free drinks, & great atmosphere. I also did a dinner cruise, the Maui Princess Dinner Cruise. Again decent food, free drinks and great atmosphere. Flatbread Co Pizza in Paia was OK. Makawao Steak House was really good. I had an epic Kobe Beef Burger. If you decide to do anything on the eastern side of the island, I recommend you rent a Jeep or a smaller car. The Hana Highway was by far the most intense driving experience (and I take my cars out on race tracks for fun in my spare time) I've ever had. It is 50+ miles long, 1.5 lanes wide at the most the entire way and hundreds of curves. The northern half of the drive is very pretty and not as intense. The southern half can be extremely nerve racking and a bit dangerous if you're not a confident driver. That's when the pavements stops, the road narrows and there isn't much room for error. I made myself carsick driving it. But it is the only way to see the desert side of the island. It will take you about three hours to drive the entire thing. Recommend starting the drive early (pre-dawn) to get ahead of the traffic. The northwest corner of the island isn't too very popular with the tourists. The drive is intimidating as much as the the Hana Highway. But it's much shorter. But if you brave the roads, you'll end up in some cute native villages where locals will try to sell you fruit on the side of the road. I really don't enjoy hiking much at all but the Kīpahulu Forest Reserve hike was amazing. It's definitely worth it to make the complete hike through the bamboo forest all the way to the waterfall. The Seven Sacred Pools are nearby as well to check out. Best bet is to leave super early again and get there right away to start hiking before everyone else gets there and before the temp starts rising. Not sure if I missed anything. Let me know if you have any questions about the trip. I'd be happy to help.
  22. I find Jean Segura's body shape to be very similar to Wee Man in a non-proportionate way. They kind of run the same too. Can anyone put up some side by side videos to make the comparison? Maybe I was just drunk.
  23. I had an 05 Cooper S for about 10 months. I'd still have that car if I didn't end up purchasing a home shortly afterwards. We really don't see very many of them at the shop. I know some of them had some power steering issues, but I haven't really seen any of that either. Changing oil on them is a huge pain in the rear. Quality-wise I find them pretty decent for something British-Built. That's thankfully due to the Germans at BMW originally designing the car. Minis have excellent resale value, so you'd be able to easily unload it of you decide it's not for you. Mini changed the body style in 2007 from the 1st generation. They became a bit bigger an heavier and lost a little bit of the quirks that made the original Minis so interesting. The 2nd generation car isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. I just prefer the 1st. If you go 1st gen, go for a 2005-2006 model year. They really worked out all of the bugs they may have had earlier. And get one with a manual trans for the love of god.
  24. I know this is just a play on words, but I really don't think this should have been said here.
