  1. Change of plans. I'm dropping the bourbon marinade steaks idea and just going with straight bourbon. Why do I do this to myself every year?
  2. I thought (Hoffman/Turnbow/Kolb and every other closer we thought would be fine for the year) was gone.
  3. Gotta listen to the game on the radio at work. But I'm grilling bourbon marinade steaks when I get home. Hopefully I can catch a replay on TV in the evening.
  4. 98-64 World Domination
  5. AL East: Tampa Bay AL Central: Detroit AL West: Oakland AL Wild Card: Boston NL East: Atlanta NL Central: Milwaukee NL West: Colorado NL Wild Card: Philadelphia Playoffs: ALDS-Tampa Bay over Boston, Detroit over Oakland NLDS-Philadelphia over Colorado, Milwaukee over Atlanta ALCS-Tampa Bay over Detroit NLCS-Milwaukee over Philadelphia WS-Tampa Bay over Milwaukee AL MVP: Miguel Cabrera NL MVP: Rickie Weeks AL Cy Young: Jon Lester NL Cy Young: Ubaldo Jimenez AL Rookie of the Year: Tsuyoshi Nishioka NL Rookie of the Year: Freddie Freeman AL Manager of the Year: Ned Yost NL Manager of the Year: Ron Roenicke
  6. I'm the same way. Yet I have to watch because my cousin is has been dating Martin Truex Jr. for a few years now. The commercial comes on and I' like "woah I know that dude."
  7. Pretty sure they have an In-N-Out Burger.
  8. Maybe he's just really bored.
  9. On paper I see no way we can be awful, yet I can't help but fear that we will turn out to be this year's Mariners.
  10. Spend the big dollar and get a Weber. You can get an 18.5 inch model for around $60-$75. And they're made in the USA. Stimulate that economy.
  11. I flew out of Narita about 19 hours before this hit. Jesus I dodged a bullet. Glad to be back home. I can't help but think and grieve for my friends over there and their loved ones who have to deal with this first hand.
  12. This is a good thing. The crew typically gets embarrassed most every nationally televised game they play. Satan Saves
  13. Anyone else think the odds are good when it comes to Mellencamp getting chosen for next years show? Even if he was asked I wouldn't know if he'd accept because he still has a bit of that rebel persona. But he is getting divorced. He might need every penny he can get.
  14. I think the Black Keys would make an acceptable halftime show. Everyone's heard their music whether they know it or not considering how many advertisements use their tunes. Foo Fighters could probably handle the task too. Maybe the Roots.
  15. Branyan is small potatoes. If I'm Melvin I'd be cutting Mr. Attanasio's lawn for that extra $20 to go get Vlad to be the RH power bat off the bench. How do I makes this blue? Damn you Safari.
  16. Cliff Lee throws out his arm.
  17. I'm gonna have to pick up a Saito player t-shirt before my trip to Japan in March. Anyone know what number he will wear?
  18. It is no coincidence that the Brewers have tanked ever since she left. She was the glue that held it all together. Just sayin'.
  19. bigjase, I see that you are from Oshkosh. I manage an auto repair shop in Neenah. Contact me if you find something local that you are interested in purchasing. We give free pre-purchase inspections to all of our customers and would be willing to do the same for you. I just need a little bit of notice ahead of time.
  20. An 05 Dakota that has already been in two accidents is worth nothing in my book. Stay away from Chrysler!
  21. Back In Black has been reissued on vinyl. You could pick up a brand new copy at your local Exclusive Company most likely. It'll be near impossibly to find an original copy with a pristine sleeve. I'd imagine you can get new copies of Puppets and Priest as well. Vain might be a little tough. I use Amazon.com whenever I'm looking for a record that I can't locate locally.
  22. I'd wait till your next oil change to have someone check it out. If the noise gets worse before then, go have someone check it out. And be sure to take it to some place more qualified than a quick lube.
