    I'm sure Ben was pissed at him...good for him. I think Ben was more pissed at himself for not getting out Berkman. If I was pitching, I would have. Ben had to have known, with his pitch count getting up there, that if he let one batter on in the 9th he was probably going to get pulled. It was a good move by Yost.

    I was at the first Braves game early. During warmups Branyan was talking to Francoeur for quite awhile out behind second base. (pared back nested quote --1992)

    Also as the Berkman AB went long, Sheets had to know that was going to be his last batter. It was a great call by Yost.

    I've got it!! They've just been waiting for the last two innings to pull this game out in dramatic fashion again.

    So you like Weeks at the leadoff spot? For now, yes, I do. They have no one else to bat there. He's the closest thing they have to a leadoff hitter. Hart is too valuable in the 5 spot to move. IMO, he's only been batting leadoff for a few games anyway. (After the 1st inning, I considered Kendall the real "leadoff hitter" from the 9 spot.)

    I understand the double switch with Hart, but I don't like it. He's your best hitter and is 2-3 on the day. Corey just needs to stop making the last out of the inning, so they can double switch with someone else for a change. Seems like everytime they do this, it's Corey who made the last out.

    I'll check tonight when I get home, I don't think I deleted it yet. Somehow I was able to pause it just when the tag was applied, Hall was about two or three inches short of the bag.

    I'd have to disagree with you there. I'd say it's actually much different than regular batting practice. In batting practice you're working on different things, like trying to hit to the opposite field. Maybe you're hitting too many weak ground balls right now, so you want to concentrate on making good contact and hitting line drives. Many things you can work on in batting practice. In a HR Derby all you're doing is swinging for the fences.

    I looked at the Hall caught stealing play a few times. (I have TiVo.) It was a good call. He was out.

    Gotta stay with the hot hand, or should I say "hot arm", for right now. Take last night for example. Had Fielder not handled that ball in the hole and Hardy not been able to dive for the liner up the middle, Torres may have blown it and this thread would be titled, "Who The Heck Will Be the Closer Now!?" Sure, of course. But, them making those types of plays instead of messing them up, are why I've had the feeling the last week or so that our team's luck is changing.
