  1. And look at that. Shouse with yet another 1-pitch win.
  2. Pie is a tough guy to double up. thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 You're welcome. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. I still don't understand why they don't make Marmol a two inning closer, like a Dan Quisenberry of old. Make Wood a 6th or 7th inning setup man. But I'm not complaining.
  4. So, the manager can't decide so he has a player pull a name out of a hat. He then goes on to say neither player needed a day off but he gave one of the players a day off anyways. I love Ned. ??? Counsell was going to play for either Hall or Weeks, no matter what. It was time for Counsell to get into the starting lineup. And yes, neither of the other two guys needed a day off, so he threw their names into a hat and picked one. Again, big deal.
  5. This joke is getting old. I guess he pulled Braun and Fielder again today as well. And the jokes aren't even correct or funny. Counsell was going to play that day for either Hall or Weeks. He couldn't decide which, so he drew names. Big deal.
  6. I left the TV broadcast in the 2nd or 3rd inning, but kept the radio on. Got caught up on my ST:Voyager epsiodes on the TiVo.
  7. Actually if he refuses the assignment, he voids his own contract, so the team would NOT be on the hook for his salary. If he accepts and goes down to AAA, then they still have to pay him his Major League Salary.
  8. The crew played last night? Oh yeah, I seem to remember starting to watch a baseball game, but soon after decided to catch up on my ST:Voyager episodes on the TiVo.
  9. You guys really think they would trade Gwynn now? I'm not so sure, especially after already trading Gross.
  10. Just curious as to what the rest of you guys think our chances are of taking this series. It won't be easy... I would normally have said pretty good looking at the starters the Crew is putting out there. But right now, I have no confidence the offense can put up enough runs. I fully expect...if the Cubs score 2, the Brewers will only score 1...if they score 3, the Crew only 2...and so on...
  11. Kapler has been decent enough. One of the games I was at this year, he took a few bad angles on the ball and it got by him, but in general he has been good enough.
  12. All right, enough messing around guys, it's time to take over first place. Sheets, Suppan, then Gallardo, couldn't ask for much more than that on the mound. Offense...how about giving those guys some run support for a change. Wha'd'ya' say?
  13. By the way, "Sunny in Philly" is a great show.
  14. I guess I just don't see that situation as much of a "shot". Two out, Hardy (not very fast) at first, you will need three hits (I'm counting Hardy's as the first) in a row, to score one run against Hamels, who was pitching pretty dam good at the time.
  15. "I agree with you right now that in many people's eyes, If a move is successful the player is complimented, if it tanks the manager is criticized." Isn't this always the case? If the player does what he supposed to do, the player gets the credit. If said player doesn't, then it's the managers fault. Manager is no-win position.
  16. Practice the base running skills guys. Dam. Oh well, at least they got a split. Move on to Florida and crush them over the weekend.
  17. So what do we have... Hall Hardy Counsell Kendall Maybe I'm hard of hearing, but that sounds like two runs to me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Let's go boys!
  18. "Top tier fuel" Say that three times really fast. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. I agree, this one is on the offense today. Bad AB's, bad baserunning, bad, bad, bad...
  20. Well looking at Gameday, those were three good pitches by Gordon
  21. Bunt. Hall, careful on 3rd base please. Be smart over there. Edit: I take that back. Nice little strategy move by Yost here. Com'on Gwynn these are the types of situations you have to come thru on.
