  1. burnie, I'm well aware that Madison Ave. isn't worth it, but I was following the 21st birthday party. There's no chance I would ever choose to go there on my own. Yeah, I guess I should've read your post better...but I was drunk.
  2. Holy crap....I'm home and I'm bombed. Went to see some live rock'n'roll tonight. I sm not disappointed. To the guy above who went to Madison Avenue: Save the trouble and the collar, that place isn't worth it.
  3. Did today's attendance look anywhere near the 37,000+ that is posted in the game box score? I know that figure is based on tickets sold, not actual walk-throughs, but it still sounds like a rather high number for a Wednesday afternoon.
  4. Uh-oh, hope it's not bad for Carlos. EDIT- Sounds like he jammed his wrist making a catch at the wall.
  5. Is the game on FSN today? Yahoo shows that it is. Graffanino jumps right into the starting lineup today as well. Clark Cirillo Hall Lee Fielder Hart Graffanino Rivera Cappy Go get 'em fellas!
  6. I bet there's a shiny bumper sticker laying around somewhere for that lucky person.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. You're gone. http://chicago.comcastsportsnet.com/Images/talent/Hawk-harroldson.jpg He gone! Sorry, sometimes I can't help myself. I know, bad behavior is nothing to joke about, but whenever I hear the word 'gone', I think of Hawk. Also, I know everyone hates him, but it's just one of those things.
  8. Dude, those rock. Funny you should say they "rock". Are you intentionally throwing the metal horns on your hand?
  9. 12 Earned Runs? Who leaves the same pitcher in for that long? That's twice this year that Marquis has been hung out to dry with a line like that. It happened earlier against the White Sox.
  10. Congrats on the new job and welcome to Madison. There are quite a few of us living here, I'm sure we can help with any questions you have regarding the city. I'd be happy to try and help, feel free to hit my inbox if you'd like any info.
  11. Went to check on Ohka's outing and it appears the game was rained out.
  12. Hart's gonna get a start today and I think Prince gets the day off as well.
  13. Ah, the parallels. As the Brewers gagged away their lead at the Dome, Jim Edmonds has just hit a pinch hit HR to tie the game in the 9th vs. KC.
  14. STL came back, but still trail 7-6. Cincy has lost.
  15. Although I was just in the bathroom for a good 20 minutes. This is the way you'd expect a "cheese sandwich" type thread to start.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. I see Ty Taubenheim threw 5 scoreless innings for Toronto today. The bullpen took over in the 6th and they hold a comfortable lead now in the 8th. Would this be Ty's first career win? EDIT (to answer my own question): Nope, Ty was 1-4 coming in with a victory over Atlanta recently in a game in which he pitched 2/3 of an inning.
  17. In the "don't see that very often" department, Colorado (Fogg) defeated Seattle (Moyer) 2-0 in a game that was played in all of 1:52. Don't be late to that one.
  18. I'd like to add Doug Jones and Dan Plesac to that esteemed list. I'm pretty sure Wick and Fetters helped me log the most miles.
  19. Supplies are dwindling. Watching the Reds score 9 runs combined in the 8th and 9th to win didn't help matters.
  20. as I was rather anti-Wickman toward the end of his Brewers tenure. I've basically been anti-every closer since Fingers. I've paced so many miles in the concourses of County and Miller that I'd easily qualify for a marathon. I can't remember the last save I actually saw in person--I've heard some, but rarely see them.
  21. I gotta get in here early before Jamie gets home from Summerfest and posts.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I'm winding down a vacation here and think I need to empty the fridge tonight.
  22. Overbay with a 3-run HR in the 1st inning and a 2-run HR in the 2nd inning tonight vs. Phillies. 2-2, 2 HR, 5 RBI. Nice start.
  23. Boy, that double play by Moeller just got much bigger with the Jenkins misplay in RF.
  24. EL CABALLO!!!!!!! Carlos crushes one for a 2-run HR.
